Suzy... That's a funny story.
The cops around here aren't as dangerous as the general populous. A few years ago, 2 teenagers robbed the Magnolia Bank. A couple in a pick-up truck saw them leaving the bank with ski masks on, get on an ATV and take off down the road towards our farm. The couple took up pursuit, pulled out their guns and started shooting. They chased the bank robbers for 3 miles. The robbers were so terrified that they finally abandoned the ATV, with all the money (near our farm) and took off on foot into some woods. They were never caught. But the cops finally showed up to recover the abandoned money.

oooooo Heidi, don't think I'd commit a crime in your town!

We had a couple of crims somewhere in Oz commit a crime with 'painted faces'. Turns out they used permanent marker so were easily identifiable as the bad guys when the cops pulled them over.

So dumb it's funny!

I don't want this weekend to start. It's going to be hectic! Ally is singing Saturday and Sunday, Ebob is working Saturday and has baseball Sunday. We are also having a couple of young girls over to stay on Saturday night and will have the 'go to sleep because Ally has to sing tomorrow' battle...

Last night or tonight Nola? How about I just send 'safe flight' vibes for whenever they're relevant...

I mentioned that Ally and her friends auditioned for a school thing. They went together but auditioned separately. The next day (yesterday) they were messing around - one played the piano, one sung harmony, another melody etc for Hannah Montana's song Climb. The teacher who had been at the auditions the day before heard them and asked if they would do it for the showcase. There you go....

The Baby/Tim Tam is already learning. She wanted help to get up to a perch so looked up, looked at me, looked up, looked at me, and very calmly stepped on to my hand when I put it in the cage. She knows who her friends are. (I'll keep calling her she until we can tell for sure, less complicated)

All thoughts, wishes and crossings with people who need them today.

Nola, I thought they were okay but not fantastic. Then I started wandering around listening to the people watching them and realised I was being just like my mother.

Adding my hugs and blessings.

20 minutes, a coffee made by hubby and a head massage definitely helped!

Noice hubby!

My hands look diseased today. The blisters are red, flaky blotches. I ripped one open trying to get the horse away from my apple trees this morning too. She must have known I was cranky with her because I had a lot of trouble afterwards catching her to get her rug off. I had to sweet talk her.

Good Morning lovely friends!
A good night's rest in my bed at the Bean's and a couple cups of strong dark roast and I am feeling world's better!
Suzy - so sorry about your hands - it sounds dreadful!
Want to add my well wishes and prayers to those who need them, also.

Love all the sinister and spooky names.
Heidi - your platypus smilie is adorable! I felt so fortunate and blessed to visit the platypus in the wild. They were precious. I knew they were smaller than I would have imagined, but their diminutive size still surprised me. What precious critters.

Posted some pictures of our koala picnic in my gallery. What a treat to hang for several hours with 2 mamas and their babies.
Bean truly is the best tour guide ...of course she is pretty motivated to find me the critters in the wild as she continues to make statements like, "I'll eat my hat if I don't find you a Roo (Wallaby, Emu, Koala, etc) in the wild today!"
So far so good!

Good evening everyone. Just stopping in quickly. I am going to bed early. I have a little tummy ache and just want to lie down. I think Brenda landed by now but I am not sure. She was supposed to call me but there was a network failure of our cellphones. It was out for a few hours. I am sure she will post or call me as soon as she can.

Great photos Vici. I love koala bears. Our local zoo actually has an Australia area and I love to see the koalas.
Mamacita, our standard bet with Suzanne is for a gift card for an ice cream parlor. She has sent us 2 Cold Stone Creameries gift cards. She also swore, after the second loss, that she would never bet my oldest son again. He is not a Phillies fan, he is a Red Sox fan. Therefore he is rooting against the Yankees.

Hey Nola - I think the platypus is the rarer sighting.
Tami - I was just telling Bean about Cold Stone the other day when we were enjoying an icecream beside the creek at the Grampians. Love the German Chocolate at Cold Stone!
I'm afraid I'm cheering for the unpopular Yankees. Although I'm a National League Baseball fan (the REAL kind of baseball), Mike and I have been following the Yankees for several years now since our Giants tanked. I'm hoping we have an exciting 7 game series (Mike is Tivoing the games for me to watch when I get back to the States)

Some friends in Magnolia have their place really decked out for Hallowe'en. There front yard is even a graveyard. Each of the tombstones has the name, and years of birth and death, of all the famous horror movie actors. It really is cool.
