I plan on showing up there, in costume, with a voice changer, after dark. Besides the tombstones, among the other decorations, are life sized scarecrows and other figures. On Hallowe'en night, the figures are substituted with real people dressed in the same outfits, in the same poses. They scare the daylights out of the kids out trick-or-treating. I'm going to see if I can scare them.

Heading to bed soon. Good Night, Everyone! It's past 11 p.m. and we need to be up early and to the hospital for my brother's surgery. We 2 are the only ones of the 6 of us who live in the Chicago area. I found out he told the doctor that I'd be staying with him for a few days. (Not!) He just doesn't want to stay in the hospital. Surgery is hernia repair, and he thinks he should go home after an hour or so in recovery.

Sending best wishes for your brother's surgery Julie. He sounds a bit like my Dad, they told him he wasn't to drive for two weeks...as soon as he was out of earshot he said PFFFT!

Wow. Nature was at it's best last night. Lightening, thunder, rain and wind, and it went on for ages!

I love storms - if I don't have to drive in them. I especially love to go outside and watch them from the safety of the car port or patio.

Hi everyone, I have just heard from Brenda. She arrived safely last night but didn't want to call as she thought it was too late. The flight went well. Her cousins are going to be joining us on Sunday so now there will be 12 of us.
Gotta go fling food, I will be back later.

Wasn't it amazing... I was just telling Vici that I almost woke her up... Lachie and I were outside moving pots after it finished and it was so good to listen to water dripping into the tank. I wonder if I will ever catch up on that has been happening...I have been reading a couple posts on the page whenever I pop in but I really feel out of the loop. I now I am outter here...LOTS'S of stuff to do..

Sat up with hubby and daughter to watch two episodes of Star Trek Voyager, the goodnight was just to the cyber world.
Hubby and I had gone to bed when I saw flashes in the mirror, so we opened up the curtains and had a bedside view of a very spectacular show.
Tried to video it, but because we were siting in the dark, it doesn't show up at all.

Me too, apparently I have a Putrid Pav to make!

Thank you for the well-wishes for my brother. The surgeon never came out to talk to us. The recovery room doctor didn't ask if we would be staying with my brother or if he would be coming to our house, so we didn't lie. The doctor gave him 2 Vicodin before we left. My brother wasn't feeling much pain, so we went directly to the pharmacy and waited 15 or 20 minutes while they filled his prescription. We got him home, and last night he had brought several changes of clothes, blanket & pillows downstairs before going out to stock up on food, milk, etc. He insisted he was comfortable and sent us on our way. I called him about 4 hours later, and he had had a nap and taken his Vicodin. We'll probably check in with him in a couple of hours. If he needs us, we only live about 20 minutes away.

Glad everyone is doing well. I am feeling better today, still a little upset tummy so I am going to say goodnight early.
I heard from Debby (Michigan) also. Her and her husband are going to join us for lunch. She is on the west coast of Florida and was going to leave on Sunday anyway. It is only a small detour out of her way before she continues on her journey.
