I hear sounds coming from the back room so the girls must be waking up. Kind of amazing since they didn't go to sleep until after 11. They had fun trick or treating as Pirates. I'll have to find a way to get a copy of the photos for their parents.
Ebob didn't end up going trick or treating as one of the girls was only allowed to come if they didn't. She still had a good time as evidenced by the argument we had when she decided she wanted to stay until 1am - since she's playing baseball today we thought that was a bad idea. She was with us at the Starlight Foundation thing until she started work at 3, finished work at 9, party until almost midnight... wonder if we'll even be able to get her out of bed this morning!

Nola, I haven't had time to see the news. It's great that the Starlight Foundation trip was on it. I heard that there were 50 volunteers along for the ride! There were almost that many local volunteers as well.
Plans for the day - more singing and baseball. The 2 friends Ally had over will be going to the singing with us. Because of the early start that was a condition of the overnight stay. The three of them may even sing a song together today.
There are party photos posted on fb - and it looks like they were posted sometime between 2 and 3 am. That is a sign of a good party!

Suzy: Thought about the owey, but he won't let me get close enough to find out. I think he's just getting old & feeling his age...at least I hope that's all it is.

Hi everyone. Just shut off the front light. Lots of kids in the neighborhood and the beasties got lots of stuff. Rachel wore her costume and helped me hand out candy. I will post a picture tomorrow along with pictures of Brenda and Debby. I am so excited about tomorrow. I have met Debby before.

Everyone. I succeeded in scaring my friends, but not as thoroughly as I would have liked. There were just too many security lights on around their neighborhood. As it is, I was able to approach them within 10 feet before they spotted my shadow. It did take them a while to figure out who I was, since I was all in black, with a hood and cape, hunched over to disguise my size and shape, and I had a microphone hooked up inside my mask attached to a voice changer. I was trying to slip up behind Michael, and grab him, before they spotted me, but that didn't work out. But they said I MADE their Hallowe'en, nevertheless.

SUZY, he did about 5 viles of blood work to see if they could tell why my hair is falling out. I will know something next week. He thought female pattern baldness and I can use rogaine, every day for the rest of my life. Not so sure about that!
I do hope we are at the end of the babbling brook in the bathroom. It is not nice to hear water running inside the walls. Seems to be all repaired now, hope it stays that way.
We had some cute little ones at the trunk or treat. It is much too busy a highway for walkers, these were friends of members bringing the children by, a car was nescessary.
tje adults had a nice chili dinner . My cake started sliding apart after I had cut it, someone say and used a plastic knife stuck in it to keep it together! ht eicing was melting, it did not turn out as I wanted it, but some of the guys came back for seconds, so it must have tasted OK>
Now I hear my recliner calling me. good night too all, I will read the rest tomorrow.

MizT, glad halloween went well. I never care what a cake looks like, just what it tastes like. If they came back for seconds, I am sure it tasted good.
Heidi, sounds great. I wish the beastie boys were there to see you. They would have loved to help you.

Good Morning Sudokuland! It is a fine chilly morning today at my house. I am thankful the rain has stopped, we expect a week of dry if not always sunny weather now. cooler temps too.
On Friday it was summer temps, hot and humid. I was hunting something to wear out shopping and one of my favorite fall colored summer weight linen outfits, capri pants with short sleeved jacket. Had not worn but once since I have taken the pants up. I put it on, and it was a joke! the catris were not " floods", hitting just shy of long pants. they were baggy about the seat and legs, would have flapped in the breeze! Jacket was too long also, it has a drawstring back, supposed to be at the waist, and that was now about 2 inches below. much to big around also. It has been removed from my closet and consigned to the TOO BIG box. It is soo funny to me when my clothes get too long! I am still taking up sleeves and hemming pants. I must do this faster or they too will get one wearing and then off to the too big box with them! Scale is not showing much loss this second six weeks, but I have to be loosing something for clothes to continue to be to large to wear.
I am off for coffee, hope to get back later. I must change clocks this morning, I forgot to before bed time. Only our computer clocks are correct today!

Good morning, I somehow have gained another hour. clocks went beack in the uk last weekend, now clocks have gone back in the US. Brilliant blue skys here and the temps are rising.
Spent a busy day yesterday and was rather tired last night. Richard and I spent some time on the beach yesterday morning and had a swim in the lovely warm sea. We remembered to use a very high factor sun screen too.
Today is going to be a fun day as we are meeting Tami, Bobbi, Debby (plus other halves) at the Tijuana Taxi for lunch today. Will take plenty of photos. I'll also take my laptop just in case there is a wifi connection and we may beable to call people on skype.

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been here to let you know how the party went, but it was fantastic. As Vici said on that 'other' page, everyone got into the swing of things and the costumes were amazing. I haven't posted any on my page as yet, but to those who have access to the other place, there are a lot of photos there from a lot of different people.
Sitting up at the moment to watch the Grand Prix with hubby, then off to bed.

A man is walking home alone late one foggy Halloween night, when behind him he hears:
BUMP...
BUMP...
BUMP...
Walking faster, he looks back and through the fog he makes out the image of an upright casket banging its way down the middle of the street toward him.
BUMP...
BUMP...
BUMP...
Terrified, the man begins to run toward his home, the casket bouncing quickly behind him.
FASTER...
FASTER...
BUMP...
BUMP...
BUMP....
He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him. However, the casket crashes through his door, with the lid of the casket clapping.
Clappity-BUMP...
Clappity-BUMP..
Clappity-BUMP...
On his heels, as the terrified man runs.
Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, he locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps.
With a loud CRASH the casket breaks down the door.
Bumping and clapping toward him.
The man screams and reaches for something, anything, but all he can find is a bottle of cough syrup! Desperate, he throws the cough syrup at the casket...
And,
(hopefully you're ready for this!!!)
The coffin stopped...!

Vici, I went to Target this morning. I noticed, for the first time, that Pepperidge Farm (a baked good company) has a cookie called "Tim Tam" I wonder if it is the similar to the ones down under. It looked like a chocolate biscuit covered in chocolate. Next time I go, I will buy a box and post a picture.

Hello! Good Morning to those in Oz, I think. I keep figuring out the time difference, but forget. I guess I need to write it down and look at it. (I'm a visual learner.)
I barely had time to glance at a few comments last night, so will try to read and greet today.
Heidi will be getting her critters back from the petting zoo today. I hope they have enjoyed their "holiday" and are glad to return home. Heidi, did you go to your friend's house, dress as a scarecrow, and change your voice to scare the trick-or-treaters? We had 74 come to our door, I think. (I had 3 bags of 50 candy bars, and hubby was giving 2 each, ate a couple, and we had to dip into his stash of Snickers.
Stella, how was Brendan's last game of the year and the player-parent dinner afterward? Have you been out to buy some half-price candy for Ian yet today?
Brenda, I'm sorry to hear that Richard's cousin was ill and couldn't meet you at the airport. How frustrating that the cab driver didn't know which way to go. (Unfortunately, that's way too common.) I hope his cousin is feeling better and you're enjoying your visit! Enjoy the dinner with Tami, Mr. Tami, the Beastie Boys, Bobbi and Mr. Bobbi, Debby and Mr. Debby, Richard's cousin and all others who will attend! Wish I could join you, then fly across & join the other gathering!
Susan, thank you for stopping by! How is everything in your neck of the woods? We miss you!
Hooray, we also had a visit from Rena! Happy Halloween (belated) to you & your family!
Greetings to Heidi, Stella, Gail, Suzanne, CynB, Susan, Brenda, Suzy, "Green Eyed Monster", Rolanda, June, MizTricia, Rena, Mamacita, Nola, Viv, Broni and Tami!
