We received another email about the car. It has gone from the end of this week to the middle of next week. I thought that might happen but I let myself get excited anyway. At least that is still before the 7th!

Nola, I looked 8 ply up on the Internet and see that is what we call double knitting. Aran is slightly thicker than that but not as thick as chunky wool

Stella - re Zoo (again? everybody else is groaning). Thanks for sending me the tree frog and the flamingo, Mo also sent me a camel - however I got the message 'error in transporting' - so they did not make it to my zoo. It's a plot!! I'm never going to get these animals.

We had 1/2 an inch this morning, melted, then tonite we are getting more snow. Looking out of my office window, looks like 2-3 inches...good thing I trimmed my roses back last week!!!

Nola, Strange how you could be needing the rain so much and not getting it. We have been drenched with far too much rain. Our grounds are so wet, its difficult for the ground to absorb more, and floods have been frequent. It's hard to believe the way Mother Nature organizes things like that sometimes. ....I've been trying to push all of the excess rain that has been hitting this part of the world towards you, but it doesn't seem to be working. I sure hope it balances out a bit, and perhaps we won't have much snow this winter.

A group of Ally's friends auditioned for a thing at their school yesterday. If they are selected they will be a part of a show that the school does every year. Basically kids at the school show what they can do. They all auditioned individually and I hope they are chosen because it would be fun for them.

Nothing is broken, Nola. There has been no bruising, and bad bruising accompanies a break. I found some extra large (2 sizes too large for me) clogs I have for just such a contingency, and am wearing those. I have so many accidents that I'm prepared for nearly everything. I have 2 wheelchairs, crutches, a walker, canes, slings, splints and all sorts of bandages. As a child, I dropped out of the Girl Scouts because they weren't prepared enough for me.

Suzanne, Both Beasties will take the bet. They say that the Phillies are going to kick some Yankee arse.
For the record, Suzanne has had two bets with my older beastie and has lost both!! She has paid up with ice cream gift cards.

It is about 90 degrees here (appx 32 c) That is why I call Suzanne and bug her about the weather. I am in shorts and she is in her winter coat. With friends like me, who needs enemies.

Watching the Yankees! Go Yankees! (sorry Mama, but you're from Philly and I'm from NY!) Although, the Phillies do look strong and are currently leading, the Yankees have to come through in the long run.
