It seems that SA7 is getting old and slow. It is time for a new page. Welcome to SA8.

Good Morning SA8.
Nice to see MizT pop in.
Nola, missed you, hope your day is good too.
Cyn, your zoo sounds as bad as those tamagotchi thingys.
Off to meet the boat broker this morning and do a few more things on the boat so it is ready to go next weekend.
Have a great day everyone.

Nola.... I'm just going to be watching the judging and talking to other Red Angus breeders. The show superintendent is a friend of mine, as well. I plan on buying a second bull next spring, and want to start looking around for an outstanding young bull that will be available then.

with the boat broker, Broni. The economy is slowly showing signs of improvement and you may have some luck soon.

Yes, good luck Broni.

Good morning all.
Much cooler day expected here today, that should make it more comfortable for you Liz.
Glad I'm not in Adelaide, they are having another of their long heatwaves. Still two more days of predicted 41C.

Today is clean up the wardrobe day. It is still in a shambles from the few roadtrips I have taken lately. What a mess!
Chaos reigns supreme!

Good day all, got back home yesterday morning unpacked before sitting down and nearly falling asleep. Decided to have a soak in the bath which was very relaxing, so relaxing that I fell asleep!
Managed to stay awake until 9pm when I called it a day and went to my bed. Why is it no matter how comfortable your accommodation was on holiday your own bed is more comfortable. I slept until 11am today. Finished putting all the unpacked stuff away. Gail I will still have to sort wardrobe out as I have put stuff away but not tidily. Going to go back and read what has been posted over the last couple of days.

Morning all!
I'm sitting here enjoying my empty house and wondering what I should do first - I decided to post here. Priorities!

Broni, good luck selling the big boat and choosing a littler boat. When the big day comes we should have a last cruise!

Forcasting temps in the 30s here today. I am NOT going to complain considering the temps they are getting in South Australia. I might go and change into shorts though.

So much to do, so little time, so I guess I won't get it done...

Hello dear ones!
Cyn - belated b'day wishes to Emily - loved the pictures on FB...and thank you for the direction to Ian's links. A company in San Antonio, Texas ships all sorts of Auzzie goodies! This could be incredibly dangerous for me.
Suzy - great idea re: a final cruise when Broni sells the boat (good luck Broni!)
Heidi - have fun at the breeders show.

Gail - you must be so happy you are not visiting Bill right now...stinkin' hot! Good luck with your wardrobe...I'm afraid I'm a big to blame for the shambles (hehehe!)
The more I hear about the zoo, the better off I think I am NOT having ventured into mine. I have such an addictive nature...I could totally see you waiting, Cyn!

Great to see you MzT - and wonderful news regarding Al's eye health.
Your Alabama day sounds quite nice - crisp and cool here - rain predicted (maybe snow) at the end of the week...
...Suzanne - I'm jealous of your snow - would love some here.
Lizzie - will have you in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow afternoon (that will be Tues morn for you) - glad you have all your ducks lined up so you can feel at ease heading in for the surgery.

Speaking of zoos, South Australia has shut it's zoos because it has been too hot. They have been keeping the animals in their night enclosures for their own welfare.

DONE! I moved 40 big rolls up to the house, stacked them, and covered them with an enormous tarp. I've gotten the ends and center tied down, then it got dark. There's no wind, so I can finish snugging it down tomorrow.

That's the site, Gail...pretty cool!
Heidi - what a lot of work, bet it feels good to have it done, though.
I'm getting my teeth cleaned tomorrow morning. The appointment is at 8:30 (with a 25 min drive) - I've set my alarm clock (which I haven't done in years) because I can't seem to wake up early these days!
Hope everyone has a good night/day.

Good afternoon lovely people! I've had a whinge on Facebook and on Easy that my air-con is not working. Darnit! This is the first day that I felt hot enough to turn it on and it won't go. I have the A/C fan on but there is no cooling.

Waiting for my neighbour to get home from work - he is an A/C technician.
Vici - pleased you found a site to keep your TimTam supply up!
Hello to eveyone else - my mind has gone blank from the heat!
Judy!!! You started a zoo, woo hoo! I'll send you an animal tonight, I've used up my quota for today. Gail, Broni, Lizzy - you too could be the lucky recipients of animals donated by we zoo people!

Afternoon all!
I've had a most unproductive day. The only thing I've really achieved wasn't even on my list - a little pressie for my not-born-yet great niece. She's due in January.

Gail, my air conditioning works - it's called windows and/or fans... hehe

Heidi, you can have your job. I'm too lazy to do that much work!

In relation to my previous post, the Air-Con is now working. It was still set for winter - and of course was registering that the outside temp was higher than the inside temp so would cut out immediately. It took hubby 30 seconds to work that out and get it going.
Back to the village for me!

No a/c though. We only seem to get a few days a year that we need it, so it's shut the house down and ceiling fans for us. After a couple of days and nights of that we wish we had a/c...

Know what you mean Dag, but a least you can wet yourself down to cool off, humidity doesn't give you the same relief, unless I want to sleep in the pool all night.

You know, my embarrassment over the Air-Con wouldn't have happened if my Hubby had been bothered to chop firewood during winter (remembering that with my arthritis I can't wield an axe - er, safely, that is). A couple of nights we had to use the A/C on reverse cycle - hence it was still on it. How was I to know that the sun symbol means warming up and the snowflake symbol means cooling down. I thought the sun meant summer and the snowflake meant winter. Doh!!! Therein lies my confusion.

I thought the storm was heading our way but even though it's getting very windy, a quick check of the radar shows nothing yet. At least it's cooled down to an acceptable level.
BTW - the offending Air-Con has now been turned off.

Cute story warning!
Yesterday, Hayley asked me for my email address so I wrote it down for her expecting her to forget. I told her to tell me what she wants for Christmas. I just got this lovely formal email with a wish list in it signed - your granddauter (her spelling) and 'I love you, Nanny'. My Hayley is growing up.

Temperature here at the moment is 12C until a few minutes ago it was raining.
After the first week we had in Florida I now know what you are talking about when you go on about the humidity. Fortunately for us we rarely (I wont say never) suffer from temps over 30 and humidity.

I'll be sorting photos out from my holiday and putting them up on my page. Took a lot so will have to shrink the ones I need for here as all photos are high resolution.
