Good Morning SA8.
Vici, happy to hear you are adjusting.
Work on boat day today, taking her out next weekend, will probably come home with lots or prawns and oysters.

Making my mouth water Broni!
Vici, Ken flew for 26 hours to get back to meet you. You only had a 'short' flight! I must admit he was a bit tired for the next couple of days but continued with his normal activities.
I do understand jet lag! My longest flight was a trip to Germany to see my daughter. The cheapest flight was with 'Continental'. Sydney, Auckland, several stops in USA, London (where I missed the connecting flight and had to wait several hours) then Frankfurt. It was well over 36 hours and then about 1 1/2 hours drive to where she was.

Oh June - you and Ken leave me feeling like a true whimp! I'm afraid I was toast after my flight home. I'm very impressed with Ken keeping up his activities! ...and I'm so grateful he took such a grueling route home in order to meet with us. I feel quite honored!

Vici, you done spoiled that cat, Punch, good and proper! He is getting way above himself lately, in the kitchen as quick as you like and very comfy in the kitten's bed!
I think I need to bring him down a peg or two, he's been carrying on like a pork chop.
Hope the ground has stopping moving under your feet, great to see you back in SA.

Hi all. just stopping in for a moment. I am spending way too much time with my critters. Beastie boy #2 likes it so he helps me. I think we should start gifting animals to Gail, Broni, etc so we will all have a place to visit and get more money.

For confused people..... Jury Duty here lasts at least a year. Every time a case goes to trial, we have to show up for jury selection. It ends when you actually serve on a jury. That's why I have had to report 5 or 6 time already this year. It IS weird, though, that they're starting a trial the week of Thanksgiving. They'll have to take a break for a Federal Holiday.

In from the outside. Hubby and I have finished rearranging the hanging baskets, some were repotted, others just tended and fertilized. We have done groupings of all the pot plants eg ferns, succulents etc and must say, it all looks very nice.
Now just waiting for some meat to defrost (ah microwaves, how did we do without them?), then slapping together an emergency 'oops, is it that late' Sunday barby.

Well since nobody is going to try and guess (other than Rolanda identifying what food items they are talking about) Ally gets called that when she is having a blonde moment. She is dark on the outside, but blonde on the inside! I've told her that although she inherited her fathers dark hair, she definitely got the blonde gene too!

Hi all,I laid down for a little nap at 4pm and woke at 7pm.I had full intentions of watering the neighbours pot plants too.
Will be thinking of you Lizzy on Tues,Best Wishes,
and it will be good to have you visit more often during your recovery.
Suzanne, wonderful for you to find something that really helps the allergies.
Gail, wish I had a companion that would help in the garden,Greg hates it.
Vici, nice to be home safe and sound I bet, don't know about the cold weather though.Being very hot is far from pleasant also.Have the trees in your yard dropped all their beautiful leaves yet?
Great to hear you enjoyed your visit and went home with some lovely presents from some lovely people.
Suzy,a new dishwasher instead of bathroom stuff?
What happened? hehe
Heidi, suppose you actually hope to get onto jury duty quickly so that it is finally over, you don't keep getting these letters and wasting time waiting to be selected.

Hello lovely people - busy day today with Emily's 8th birthday party. Why do grandchildren just wear a person out?? June, I know you understand.
I just read a page or so and can't remember a thing - now let's see.....
Vici - glad things are settling down and getting back to normal. Did you see on Easy that Ian posted a link to buying TimTams on Amazon? Glad Mike liked the Big Ram - hehehe.

Suzy - just love the crikey steveirwini snail. What a classic!!
Heidi - sorry you're still under the weather - get well soon.
Nola - you must have needed a nap to have one that long - makes up for all those early mornings.
Hi also to Gail, Rolanda, Tami, June, Broni, Suzanne etc.

Cyn, belated birthday wishes for Emily.
Understand about the grandkids Cyn. Laura is having a night at home but I will probably have her for the rest of the week as Sharon is marking HSC papers at night. Probably have to take them swimming tomorrow as Sharon is not driving yet.

We got a few inches of snow yesterday, YUCK!! I hate snow!! TTT is going to call me when she reads that & brag about the temps in Florida (happens every time!!)

Can you believe it, some of you will, and I know who, that I am sitting up at nearly midnight waiting to feed my baby octopus on Facebook Zoo before I go to bed. Honestly - what is wrong with this picture!!
Thank for the birthday wishes for Emily - she had a good day and we invited her mother to come as well - it was a bit awkward (for her as well) but we all coped for the sake of the girls. It may be the first time we've had to get together since the split-up but it won't be the last. My ex and I managed for 25 years, these 2 will have to try as well.

Here I am, saying HI again without reading. I am getting ready to go out this morning, so no time to read, but a n=minute to let you know I am alive and well.
Lovely day in Alabama today for mid Nov. we started col and crisp going to a high of mid 70's with bright sunshine, I am enjoying it a LOT.
We have new glasses ordered, eye exam with one surprise for hubby. Doc said he has cataracts in one eye, but should not need anything done for at least a few more years and perhaps many more years. I got a good report, he said the backs of my eyes were VERY healthy, no signs my blood sugar problems had caused any damage at all.
Hope to have some days home soon and get to be online with you more, I need to READ to catch up!
Hugs and love till then

I'm heading out to move hay all day today.
I really need to get it under cover to preserve the nutrition. I've actually lost count of how many rolls we have ( many hundreds) and have less storage space than hay. I only have room for about 40 more rolls under cover. There's nearly 200 rolls still outside.

Tomorrow I am heading up to the North American International Livestock Exposition in Louisville for the Red Angus Show.
Last night, a friend of mine had a BIG bonfire party. It was so far from the road that it was like going back to the days of the pioneers. You could see no lights besides the bonfire, and hear no sounds of civilization. We cooked our food over the fire, and had a blast.
