Looking forward to a couple of free days. Took Laura to Daycare and Belinda will have her for the weekend. I know it will be quite a while but it would be nice if life could just be a bit simpler!

Good evening! I haven't caught up on the reading yet. Any free time seems to be spent on FB! If not on my stuff, then I'm helping Ian out with his stuff while he's at school. Yikes!

Yesterday was Veterans' Day and we went to Albany for the parade. Ian marched in it with his school band. I was on my way to Bryana's game in Boston after the parade, but Bryana called before I got on the highway to say she probably wouldn't be playing, so I didn't go. I'll probably go down to Brendan's game in New Jersey on Saturday and maybe Sunday for the Eastern Conference College Championships.

I am good Stella, my health has improved but not my eyesight either as I am guessing your avatar is autumn leaves. Mine is a Bassett sniffing a bauble on a christmas tree. Don't know if this will be bigger.

Hubby has discovered a new (under new management) nursery near home so we went there today...and yesterday! I have no idea where these things are supposed to go!

Did some retail therapy today but mainly buying a Hannah Montana scooter for Emily - it's her 8th birthday on Sunday - party is here. Note to self: How does that happen, I am only the grandmother! But bought myself a new top and some shoes though.

Thanks Broni - still a distance away. Col is going out soon and was taking my car - he can take the ute - there's hail in this. Also Andrew and Emily are off to Outback Spectacular tonight. Will probably have to drive through it.

Hubby and I just had bits and pieces (cheeses etc) for dins, the girls had takeaway though.

OH MY, too many pages to read today, it has been a while since I checked in. We have had a lot going on here this last week. I should have found time to say a fast hello but did not.

Daughter Joy came for a surprise visit over weekend past. she hitched a ride with a coworker who was coming close past our house, and she was met at the freeway in the wee hours of Saturday for her visit. We had to drive her about an hour and half north to meet up with her ride late Sunday afternoon. small price to pay seeing her again, had not seen her since Christmas. Lots of
frama in her life and that was emotionaly draining for us.

Monday was my only day at home this week and I really believe I had some small errand even then. tuesday we had a visit from the Tropical Storm IDA, who managed to close down some of our roads , and floodid us in. No flooding at my house, but the intersection end of our dead end lane was under water for several hours.

Wednesday I had another pain block epidural, enough said about that.

Yesterday I did get out with AL for a bit to pay a couple of bills, it was a beautiful day to be out and about, lovely fall day with sun and warm temps, such an improvement from that 36 hours of damp and grey and rain!

We are off today for eye exams, had to cancel those on Tuesday, no way to get there! I am ready for glasses, I lost the spring in my leg, and they are not on my face in a good position now. Be another week after exam to get glasses.

I hope everyone is doing well, and if something really important happens to one of our members, could someone e-mail me?

MizT good to see you today. Ida caused a change in the weather in Pompano beach too. It was one of the reasons why we couldn't take a glass bottom boat tour in Key West.

Just waking up from a long winter's nap (well, actually 2 days of snoozing after landing in SF)
My BLOODY computer is sookin' (sp?) a bit - probably because I'm installing an "update" ...what was I thinking?
Anyway, I am among the living again and smiling from ear-to-ear with the fondest memories of my time in Australia.

I'm so in love with all of you AuZZies and your beautiful country - there are no words adequate to express my feelings. You all spoiled me to the max and I barely made it home with all the wonderful loot you gave me. Formal thank-yous will follow.
I hope to catch up on my reading and respond accordingly - but that will have to wait until the BLOODY update is over. HUGS everyone!

Vici - nice to see that you're back and rested. It was so wonderful to meet you (one week ago today) and to have the added bonus of meeting June, Suzy, Gail, Lizzy etc. I know it's the nature of internet friendships but I wish we all lived closer so we could see more of each other.
Brenda - Jewel is OK, it's warm here at the moment and she sleeps in our bedroom. It needed to be done - she had dreadlocks, honestly! I'll post more pics in a few weeks when she looks more normal.
MizT - nice to hear from you. You've certainly been busy.

Off to have lunch today to meet my niece's new man - he must be nice, she's moving to NZ to be with him.
Andrew is moving the rest of his stuff into our shed this morning - not enough room in his new place. Good old Mum and Col will look after the rest. (We did offer)

Oh Suzy - the storm petered out before it got anywhere near us so Colin didn't have to face my wrath if the car had been hail-damaged. Lucky man!
