Thanks for the TOPP Vici, I still have to finish my shopping. I just spoke to my mom and told her she needs to visit here more often. I also told her we were going shopping on Monday and volunteered my dad to watch the beastie boys. Or will the beastie boys watch my dad???

everyone. Haven't read posts yet. Just having brekkie before going to grocery storeS. Nice quiet morning here. IH is gone for the day at a livestock auction, buying goats. It keeps him out of my hair, at least.
Still need to decorate the tree (IH won't help with that, even) and wrap presents.

That menorah does look great there. Most people fail to remember when celebrating the birth of Jesus, that he was Jewish. So those celebrating the religious side of Christmas should be displaying Menorahs, too.

I appreciate that Heidi. I don't get insulted when people wish me a Merry Christmas, I just wish more people would recognize the fact that the different religions come from the same roots.

Me, I know that Christmas was originally a HUGE heathen holiday, one final major bash and revelry before the dark of winter. The christians confiscated it, and decided to make it a christian holiday by claiming that this was when Jesus was born. He actually was born in the Spring.

I celebrate the fun, the love, the giving and generosity represented by Santa Claus.
Can't go wrong with that.

Hello everyone. I am finally home in my own little house. Got home late afternoon yesterday. I am so cold. What a shock. Landed at Vancouver in the snow. It rarely snows there. White as far as you could see. The girl sitting next to me didn't realize we had landed. Is it warm in Oz? I want to go back.

Just for you, Rena. Quite a shock, going from CZ and Tazzie in the summer to Canada in the winter. I'd want to leave, too. But at least you'll have a White Christmas.

Had a great time. Everyone in Oz was wonderful. Great to visit my family in NZ and meet my great niece and nephews.

Home Rena, so glad you enjoyed your trip.Now it will be a buzy time getting ready for Christmas.
I shuld not be here either Nola but some kids decided to let off fireworks in the nearby park at 3 AM.
Anyway I have now done the puzzles which I would not have been able to do later with 'early Christmas' and 'birthday' celebrations all day.

As soon as I unpack and get some shopping done I will work on photos. It is quite cold here today, -27ºC/-15ºF. It is still early in the day and might warm up a little.

the lawns are all mowed with the help of a neighbor and look lovely.I must get out and water even though it looks like rain,you can never trust it lately. I have a truck load of tree prunings for the tip..and I do mean a truck load.Not allowed to burn anymore but the cane farmers can.I better get moving,working this afternoon.Bye all.

Gee it is very quiet here today.I have done some watering.Wonder why the lychee tree didnt fruit this year.Usually we are fighting the parrots off just to get a few.Hope we get some next year.

I'm back from shopping..... 5 stops...... and I still have lots to unload. All I want is a nap! Where are the holiday Elves when you need them?

Just finished packing the last of the game for the little devils but will have to[in the morning] pack the all the boxes from the freezer to the pallets then off to the nearest town to catch the truck.

Heidi, Mamma Mia is a cute movie. I saw it the night it came out with my mother-in-law. hubby, his dad and the boys went to a baseball game, so she and I went to dinner and a movie. I think you will enjoy it.
