It is date night, but have to do a taxi run at 8.30, only the other side of Cockatoo so a 15 min round trip, so a bit of a late start tonight.

The meal is cooking and I think I need to sit down for a few moments and ease my aching muscles. Probably not as bad as Broni though.

We have spent the day sorting through all those boxes that things got put into when I moved cupboards and painted. We have filled two bins with rubbish and still more stuff to sort.
However I have the Christmas Breakfast celebration with my sister and her family in the morning so had to move things around so they can get into the house!!!

I am a bit behind with wishing everyone safe travels and all the other good wishes.
For anyone about to take off for Christmas I would like to wish them every happiness with family and friends. Especially CynB with her family re-united.
I am rather tired so please feel included even if I have not mentioned your name.

forgot to say good morning all! Trying to catch up a bit since inlaws arrive today and still don't have everything done. Everyone is still asleep, so thought I would pop in here!

Finally got my new digital camera. It arrived last night during the snow storm. Also finally used my gift certificate that I won here to help me get it. Christmas came early (well, kind of since it was also my 50th birthday and 25th anniversary present from May and September) I'm so excited, I couldn't sleep last night!

It took hubby and Ian 3 hours to get home yesterday during the storm (normally a 1/2 hour trip) I think we ended up with over a foot of snow. We're supposed to get another big storm tomorrow. My in-laws used to live in NY and moved to North Carolina and Arizona to get away from the cold and snow. We usually don't have these big storms until January and February. I don't know if they have warm enough clothes. It will be a shock for them.

Hi Stella...we will be expecting some super photos on your page....What sort of camera did you get.
JB is major retail chain store selling everything you need for your home cinema and HiFi system: CD's and DVD' [smusic & movie], TV's, camera', sound systems etc...you name it they sell it...

Thanks Bean for the info. I got a Canon EOS 50d. I can't wait to use it. I wanted to go into the kids' rooms and take pictures of them while they're sleeping...but they would kill me!! I have to resist playing with it today because there's so much left to do before my company arrives!! Yikes!

GOOD Maen and goodbye! Getting ready to leave here for our party. I am glad it is only an hour and half drive and hubby will be driving. I am still pooped!

The kids were cooking at 10:30 last night. Ray made deviled eggs, and I think he dirtied every dish in the kitchen! hehe. glad I have a dishwasher! Need to get that organized to run, AFTER we have showers, so many showering this morning, do not want to over tac the hot water heater.

I have an old Canon Elph Advantax..pre digital..and my husband was so impressed his first digital was a Canon...it was so over used that it had to be replaced...with another Canon Elph..IXUS 860 IS [I think]..all of my photo's are taken with one or the other. I'll be interested to hear how you go with yours..

Viv, sorry, but I have no idea about mobiles splitting up words, and have no tech wizards here to ask. I'll try to remember to ask them tomorrow. I think you'd probably have to go through the phone settings.
Gail, I'm not sure if I like Chrome yet - only put it on today. S1 says it's much faster than IE, but I don't like the way that if I want to refresh this page, I have to go through the 'are you sure?' box, and click on it. It also puts all the comments in boxes so looks different.

Ok Bean, did you colour in the bauble background, or was it black already. It's another great one!

Love all the holiday avatars. Even though I don't celebrate Christmas, I love all the lights and decorations. Thanks again to MizTricia and Vici for helping me find Chanukah avatars. Now I can be as festive as everyone else.

Tami - I figure Chanukah is a holiday of light, too!

Chanukah is the festival of lights. I try to put up blue and white lights outside so my house is as pretty as my neighbors.

I'm doing my final wrapping today...it will be a nice peaceful day with holiday music and lights on the tree.
