Gosh I love that woman. We are like two peas in a pod!
Bean and tribe have just left here, en route to her sister's house. Though I really think they would have been quite happy to sit on the verandah all day watching that family of kookaburras!

The dogs are eating
. They should be done in about 10 to 15 minutes. Then I can go to bed.
Another interesting day.

"Let Me Entertain You"
Hell is gone and heaven's here
There's nothing left for you to fear
Shake your arse come over here
Now scream
I'm a burning effigy
Of everything I used to be
You're my rock of empathy, my dear
So come on let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
Life's too short for you to die
So grab yourself an alibi
Heaven knows your mother lied
Mon cher
Separate your right from wrongs
Come and sing a different song
The kettle's on so don't be long
Mon cher
So come on let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
Look me up in the yellow pages
I will be your rock of ages
Your see through fads and your crazy phrases yeah
Little Bo Peep has lost his sheep
He popped a pill and fell asleep
The dew is wet but the grass is sweet, my dear
Your mind gets burned with the habits you've learned
But we're the generation that's got to be heard
You're tired of your teachers and your school's a drag
You're not going to end up like your mum and dad
So come on let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
He may be good he may be outta sight
But he can't be here so come around tonight
Here is the place where the feeling grows
You gotta get high before you taste the lows
So come on
Let me entertain you
Let me entertain you
So come on let me entertain me
Let me entertain you
Come on come on come on come on

"Manic Monday"
Six o'clock already
I was just in the middle of a dream
I was kissin' Valentino
By a crystal blue Italian stream
But I can't be late
'Cause then I guess I just won't get paid
These are the days
When you wish your bed was already made
It's just another manic Monday
I wish it was Sunday
'Cause that's my funday
My I don't have to runday
It's just another manic Monday
Have to catch an early train
Got to be to work by nine
And if I had an air-o-plane
I still couldn't make it on time
'Cause it takes me so long
Just to figure out what I'm gonna wear
Blame it on the train
But the boss is already there
All of the nights
Why did my lover have to pick last night
To get down
Doesn't it matter
That I have to feed the both of us
Employment's down
He tells me in his bedroom voice
C'mon honey, let's go make some noise
Time it goes so fast
When you're having fun

Achy Breaky Heart
You can tell the world you never was my girl
You can burn my clothes when I'm gone
Or you can tell your friends just what a fool I've been
And laugh and joke about me on the phone
You can tell my arms to go back onto the phone
You can tell my feet to hit the floor
Or you can tell my lilps to tell my fingertips
They won't be reaching out for you no more
But don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
I just don't think it'd understand
And if you tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
He might blow up and kill this man
Ooo
You can tell your ma I moved to Arkansas
Or you can tell your dog to bite my leg
Or tell your brother Cliff who's fist can tell my lips
He never really liked me anyway
Oh tell your Aunt Louise, tell anything you please
Myself already knows that I'm okay
Oh you can tell my eyes to watch out for my mind
It might be walking out on me today
But don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
I just don't think it'd understand
And if you tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
He might blow up and kill this man
Ooo
But don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
I just don't think it'd understand
And if you tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
He might blow up and kill this man
Ooo
Don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
He might blow up and kill this man
Ooo
Don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart
He might blow up and kill this man
Ooo

Hello everyone!
Steve - sorry to hear you haven't been well. Hope you feel better soon - take care of yourself! :)
Martha, I'm here! (though Hubby says that's a matter of opinion!)
Gail - G'day! Did you have fun at the neighbour's?
I have just been putting photos onto a Flickr Page - not sure what to do with them after that, but I think I'm beginning to commence to gain some Technology! (About time, I guess!) :)

Hello Bean! Thought I'd better cut my losses and head off to bed, but Rob's started watching Columbo on our new, enormous TV - yes he has been seduced by the dark side - this thing shakes the whole house, I can hear it from my hiding place (computer room). I definitely blame Gail for this - he went quite glassy-eyed when he saw her TV - like Frodo looking at the One Ring ... We wants it, Precious!! And then the sales were on, so...

The Beanikins [Bean and kin- Pete & Lachie] have had a wonderful day...lovely day for a drive to the to the country....out to Cockatoo to spread a little festive goodwill and tidings...Obviously my work with the spakfiller did the trick and I looked beeootiful..they didn't turn us away at the door...or was it just my loaf of home made hot bread!! Gail is right...I could have sat on the verandah all day watching the Kookaburra's. They happen to be one of my favourite birds.
It took us an hour to then drive cross country to my sisters place. It seems like ages since I've seen her...not good when she only lives 35' away...busy lives all round...Seeing them was a perfect way to finish a lovely day. Tomorrow I'm going to track down some of the rest of the family and see when we can all get together to raise a ruckus!!

I have coveted the BIG screen as well for quite a while and when Pete started talking about upgrading the PC's I pleaded the case for a biggie... Hehe..I JUST LOVE the big screen...not as big as Gails, but hey, who could keep up with them? he he... We haven't connected up the full hi-fi system yet but I reckon all will know when we do!! Had to laugh when we got to my sisters and found that they had bought the exact same TV as us!!

I grew up in the bush Judy and it makes me feel so at home to have them sitting there on the verandah 'killing' a piece of ham before swallowing it...We have a lot of birds around our place [haven't identified them all yet] and I've joined a bird group..http://www.birdsinbackyards.net and it is great to be able to share and exchange information on local birds and their habitat. Lots of help in encouraging birds to your garden as well.

Yeah Bean, seems to be the way doesn't it! No, I don't think ours is as big as Gail's, but it becomes a question of .. where the heck do we put it? Obviously I have to be able to see it from the kitchen, which limits things a bit, especially as my eyes seem to be getting more feeble all the time! (like my brain, arf, arf!)
But we have the whole recycling thing going on - the old tv will go into the lounge room, the tv that was there will go to my daughter's new flat, so everything moves along, and Rob argues that he's just doing his bit for the economy, so everybody's happy! :)

I decided present time was over. Al opened the last of his yesterday, one got left way back under the tree! So no more pressies for avatars, and I am needing some sunshine still, so a nice sunny avatar seemed the right thing today.
We may set records for high temperature for today, they are forecasting 72 degrees F (22.2C) for today. night time temps are warmer than daytime highs should be! MORE severe weather a possibility tomorrow, yep, when nighttime highs are in the 60's and the humidity is near 100% and a cold front is approaching from the north west, you have the perfect scenario for severe weather! they say expect the thunderstorms and possible tornadoes mid afternoon tomorrow, I like that much better than over night, I hate storms that arrive in the middle of the night!

Been busy celebrating the holidays here...girls came up yesterday (horrendous drive with all the holiday traffic heading for skiing).
We are up visiting now - just made hot chocolate for the girls, topped with real whipping cream and chocolate sprinkles - and a candy cane for a stir stick!

Now for a Holiday rant.
I'm really hating the trend of pressies under the tree being in "gift bags" instead of being properly wrapped. It's telling the recipient that they're not worth the effort. Even the "gift bags" are getting lazier! One of mine was even in a grocery bag!!!! I would only use those gift bags for transporting a properly wrapped present to someone's home. NEVER as the actual gift wrap!
