June our trip was a bit unusual - we went first to Lutherstadt-Wittenberg, in the former East Germany, where Rob's nephew was marrying a German girl. After the wedding her family showed us around for a while, then we took the train to Munich, and did a couple of short trips by ourselves,before going to Switzerland to join an organised tour. I have to say at first I was terrified being in a strange country by ourselves, but really language was never a problem, and they're so used to dumb tourists they don't care! Mostly you just point at what you want and hand over your money!
The Christmas Market sounds lovely though! (But I don't like the cold!)

I lasted not quite an hour away.
I went and did some stuff, phoned my hubby, played with the dog, got bored and returned to my fave place.

I disguised myself with a new avatar, actually for Valentines day.

Judy one of my daughters married a German and lived there for 8 years. It meant we saw some very different parts of Germany when we went to visit. She worked in Heidleberg but lived about an hour out of the city in a very small village. (She is now divorced and back in Aussie). we also have friends in Switzerland so have seen quite a bit of that country as well.

A technical question - does anyone know if I can rearrange the photos on my page without losing the visitors' comments?

The photos seem to arrange themselves and the most popular just seems to appear as well. You will loose the comments if you delete and re submit them.

Met up with Katitude today. The arrangements all ended up being very rushed due to recent events, so unfortunately I was unable to get onto any of the gang to organise a larger gathering.

That's a shame Gail I waited all day for a workman who didn't come, so could have been there with y'all. Oh well, next time.

My "baby" moved out a couple of days ago - well, she comes back to do her baking, until she gets used to her new oven - but hey, we can have meat with every meal if we want now!

Went to the same restaurant we went to with Viv, The Blue Train Cafe. Tres ples once again.
