Hello, SA7! I'm trying to get caught up on reading. I just visited Heidi's page to see the fur hats. They look very warm and chic. (Just don't be mistaken for any of the animals on your farm!)

My snowman is dressed for the weather here. It's hovering around zero F and likely to drop even further. Even the snowmen are shivering!

Good one Broni.
It's 37C/99F here, 30C/86F in my kitchen. I'm melting.... but think I'd prefer that to 14F, which I think is about -32C...

Lost a post, thought I had copied it, but did not, DRATS.

Heidi, I would be careful where I stored those fur hats. the dogs might mistake 2 of them for furry animals all tucked up and asleep. I can see your nice hat after one of the dogs "killed" it.

Stella, did the physical therapy help or hurt? I hope you are better sweetie.

I cannot remember all the brilliant witty things I had in the post that got lost. Perhaps some will come to mind later. Goon Night all.

Hi, Suzy! I wish we could mix the extreme temperatures and each of take home a more moderate result!

Mariana, the Leonard Bernstein Mass ought to be fun. Keep us posted on whether you end up doing the full blown or excerpts of it, please.

Oh Julie! It's even worse where you are!! -32C must be wrong for 14F because -40C=-40F (I think Brenda was the one who pointed that out to me, but I could be wrong because that was a long time ago). My conversion program is on the other computer...

Night MizT! I keep missing your chats! I think we are both on less than usual at the moment. For me it is my mother's visit and school holidays...

I have hat boxes for some hats, and a large cedar chest for the crushables. The dogs still get to some. Like my nice black Aussie made of kangaroo.

Hello folks!
Suzy, I'm absolutely boiling too! I just put the air-conditioner on - it's new and I keep forgetting we have it.
My son just came home, sat down at the piano and started playing a tune - lots of wrong notes, but as far as I know he's playing by ear and from memory. It really depresses me that I can practise a piece for weeks, or months, and he's still better than me when he plays something for the first time! Oh well, some people have talent and some - just play the same three pieces over and over!

hehe Heidi, my present one is a bean bag Ally drew for me ages and ages ago. -10C sounds better. When I do it myself I divide when I should multiply etc.

Judy, I'm listening to d2 practicing for her next public performance - through walls as that's the only way I'm allowed to. I'm cringing a little. She's chosen difficult songs that I'm not sure suit her voice or experience. So far she seems to pull things out of her metaphorical hat on the day.... I have my fingers crossed anyway.

Good Night, Mariana and Heidi! Pleasant dreams! And, as it's now almost 12:30 am, it looks like I need to join those who are snoozing. I hope to be back tomorrow. I hope all of you enjoy the rest of your day!

Suzy, I think it's always hard being a parent listening to a child perform - it's so hard to be impartial when you know how much it means to them, but I also find it hard not to cringe at times!
My son has been performing since he was 7 (choir),and is now fairly at ease on the stage. I used to have to force myself to relax, but now it's easier - he has moved on to comedy and modern dance. The comedy he's very good at, the dance is ... interesting. I think he's going to Adelaide for a comedy festival this year.

I love your description Judy! Interesting is a good word.

The comedy festival thing sounds great! I'm assuming he's going to be performing, though I suppose he could be going to collect ideas...

Hello again - been out all day. My friend and I went to see my Mum then did lunch and went shopping (as you do).
To the NSW and Vic girls, it's 26c here at the moment. Quite nice. But it was 30c at lunchtime.

Daughter and family back from Melbourne. Enjoyed themselves and did the touristy things.
They went to the jail and Maddie got put in jail for cultivating illegal substances and Lachlan for vandalism.
Hope this is not a pointer towards the future!!

Thanks Suzy - Mum doesn't seem to feel the heat and always has a cardigan on but the home is air-conditioned.
I don't think Maddie would survive as a criminal, they closed the cell door and turned off the light and she freaked out.
