Once again,
dear friends.
I have not long got off the phone from speaking to her. Seems I caught her at a bad time, which was a good thing. She was sobbing away and I said to her I could ring back later if that would suit but no, we spoke for a while. I thought it might have been the post op blues, but I think it was a combination of that and Mum. She said she hadn't had a good cry since she got home from the funeral, and it all hit her at once.
I knew where she was coming from so we were able to talk through it. I have had gall bladder pain in the past so as soon as I asked "Isn't GB pain the worst thing you have ever experienced" she realised I could sympathise with her. Then we talked a little about Mum and what she had gone through and by the end of the call, we were having a chuckle about something totally random.
Yes Mariana, I think I do love my siblings as much as you love yours, even more now, if that is possible!

Gail, having siblings you get along with is a wonderful thing, something to be cherished. Not everyone is that lucky.

Hi Brenda. How does this day find you? Well, I hope.
Suzy, South east! I know, doesn't feel like it to me either! But I am hopeless with directions. Gives hubby something to chuckle about when we leave a shop. I always come out and head back in the direction we came from! I'm perfect in every other way, had to give him something to be superior in!

I've just had a look at that site Suzy found about bush fires. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw how many fires there were for that area. It must be scary at times for you. We get to hear about the big ones on the news, but that is all.

The site she provided shows the whole state of Victoria. On that page, there were only a couple that were within a half hour radius, a few more in a one hour radius, but the rest of them are hours away.
But thank you for being concerned. It is something we in Australia learn to cope with, similar I imagine to those in California etc.

I have been getting lost on many other sites now. Facebook and Friend's Online. I am finally able to look up some people from the many schools I attended. Most of them have closed up or changed their status so it has been difficult to look people up if there was nowhere to look!

sorry had to take Emily to school as it is raining and she didn't want to get wet especially as she was carrying her laptop today.
Yes Gail I found Cockatoo, it doesn't look to be a large town but does seem to be surrounded by either trees or bush, couldn't really tell from the view.

It's not a huge place Brenda, only about 4 1/2 thousand population. You are right, we are in the Dandenong Ranges and are completely surrounded by bushland, interspersed with some farms.
Here, what we call bush is actually trees. The ones around our house are towering 30+metre gums.

Just popped in to say Hi to everyone & Gail glad to hear your sister is on the road to recovery. Hope its an easy trip for her. All the best. And to everyone else thats not feeling well, hope you get well soon. I've been so busy lately doing our family tree that I only get a few minutes to drop in every now & then. As my father died when I was 9, I didn't know a lot about his family, but I'm certainly finding out a lot, I've been contacted by cousins I didn't know I had & as we've all been pooling info we've come up with relies back to 1762, lots with convict records (but isn't that what made Australia???)A few good ones in there's as well. Well getting late have to go
now. Water aerobics with Mary from Manly tomorrow

Heidi, sorry about your cow and calf. Too bad the calf couldn't have been saved when the mom died. I guess you can't use a cow that has died of natural causes for food or anything? Congrats on the little lambs. They must be so cute!

I can't remember what else I read!
Bryana's birthday was kind of overshadowed by the inauguration, but her best friends remembered. I sent her 16 text messages, a candle every hour, and then one for good luck. I'll make a birthday cake when she comes home next weekend.
Ian had a soccer game last night. They won. His foot seems to be bothering him again but he still wants to do the track meet on Saturday.
I have to drive Brendan back to school on Sunday and then I think I'll go visit my mom for a couple of days.

Off to get some tea and brekkie. Have physio this morning rather than the afternoon. It seems like one step forward and two steps back, but hopefully it will help eventually.
Have a great day!

I CANNOT CATCH UP! not much time this morning, I will be out for a long and full day. First I get squished, then we are going to re-provision the freezer and pantries at several stores, then a trip to Wal Mart. A bit much , OH, I get lunch out also!
I AM NOT SHY, can and have talked to anyone and everyone all my life. My Mom tells me about the time I was under 2, we were on a street car (public transportation) and I carried on a long and involved conversation with the man sitting in front of us. Man was well into his cups so of course he was talkative and loud. I think we entertained everyone on board! Mom could not get me to stop talking!
I still carry on long and involved conversations here!

The special Lady Gouldian food arrived this morning. The cage will arrive this arvo. The Finches themselves won't arrive until late next week at the earliest.... we're waiting for a warm-up. We're due for one soon.

Missed all the posting during yesterday and am so sorry to hear about your cow and calf, Heidi. Those finches look gorgeous, by the way.
I'll help myself to some of Gil's chocolate since he can't have any!

HOW RUDE OF ME! Good Maen dear ones!
Beautiful rain falling here (wish it were snow) - we need the water so badly.
Went to book club last night - just finished one of the best books I've ever read: "The Book Thief" by an author from Sydney, Markus Zusak.
