My favourite funny news story of the day (funny to me anyway):

A woman has fooled a major bank by trading Monopoly money for real cash.

The 61-year-old walked into a Nordea Bank branch in Svendborg, Denmark and handed over two Swedish Monopoly bills worth 2000 Kroner.

An "inexperienced" bank teller immediately exchanged the toy money for 1400 Danish Krone [A$375].

Hi all just caught up on reading pages since I went to bed.
Rolanda I know a great place to visit would be Perth to see family and friends. Maybe next year.
I don't know if you have read all the pages from while you were away. We were having work done in our attic and it has been discovered that we have a problem with the roof on our large extension. This could cost us a lot of money if the insurance company doesn't cover it. So a major holiday this year is out of the question

The missing are slowly returning. G'Mo and Wagdy have both been on easy tonight.

June, great to hear the news about Ken's improvements, however small.

Wow...have we got dicey connection tonight...modem flickering so much it has taken forever to turn the pages.
Went to a Jeff Beck concert tonight and it was fantastic. If someone had asked for my ticket at midday today I would have given it away... What a mistake that would have been...It was so hot that I was feeling heat struck and sick. The venue tonight was the Palais which is a beautiful old theater and in keeping with that has no air-con! Hot as hell. Forgot all about that in the presence of such talent. So wonderful to hear wonderful music that hasn't been adulterated by lousy lyrics...

Now I will go soak in a cool bath and hit the sack.

Everything is covered in a thick layer of ice this morning. The plum tree in the front yard is gone.... uprooted and on it's side. I don't know what other damage we have.

My hats finally arrived!!!

Heidi, sorry you lost a plum tree, and hope other tree damage is minor. At least you have electricity! I hope it warms up and melts some of that ice.

Well, you put on one of those hats fore going out in the cold today! Your Ewes and Cows will appreciate your new hat.
