Yes it was good to not just see Rayray post on Easy, but that he joined in, he must be on the mend.

Spoke to my sister this morning. She and her hubby are currently in Adelaide and are suffering in the heat. Took a side trip to Victor Harbour yesterday - it was so hot that, instead of sight-seeing, they went into a pub and played Keno. She can't wait to get back to Brissie's 30c temps and her pool.

I couldn't find anything useful at all June! I did find some things that made me blush though...

Cyn, I couldn't believe the overnight lows in Adelaide! People must be really suffering.

I hope Heidi has worked out a way to heat the house by now. I wouldn't want to try to get any kind of service person out at the moment - 2 chances of finding anyone!

Suzy, I just happened to have a pork roast in the freezer. We will be eating in about 30 minutes.

June, Suzy and I were on MSN yesterday and started to talk about cooking. I gave her an easy recipe to cook a pork roast in a slow cooker.

It's only 10am here so ours isn't long started.

I am so sad thinking about that little girl. A life cut too short for no reason.

On the news the other day, a man in California shot and killed his 5 kids, his wife and then himself. He was despondent about both him and his wife losing their jobs. There had to be a better solution.

I am sure it will come out fabulous. Let me know tomorrow how it was.

I have just realised that I haven't read anything about the little girl's mother. Where is she?

The one in CA had one paper speculating that the wife and hubby made a 'pact', though I couldn't see any evidence to support that.

Ironic story of the day:

A police car has been set on fire by vandals as officers attended a public meeting in County Down.

The officers were invited to the meeting in Mayobridge on Wednesday night to discuss how to combat a rise in anti-social behaviour.

Well, what is the temp in Perth, Rolanda? Better than Adelaide and Melbourne, I bet.

Anything is better than Adelaide or Melbourne at the moment !!

Rolanda - I just went to the BOM site and Perth's max today is expected to be 32C but it's going to be higher in the next few days - but 36c is better than 44c, isn't it?

Our are still hovering around 30c for the next week. But we have the humidity to deal with. Not been too uncomfortable since last Sunday.

We're still in the midst of getting Colin's new business off the ground. Should have all the equipment by mid next week, then we will start advertising in local papers. Have a few leads already. Fingers crossed it will work out. We are offering 10% discount for first service, hoping they will be impressed enough to call him again and pay full price.

32?? I thought it twas to be 30C.. I know it will heat up to 35/36 on Sunday, and Thunderstorms for week!!

Back for a minute. Hubby has interrupted my ffuts with a request to bring him something by noon. Darn, and I was so enjoying ffuts....

How could I forget Perth!!! But now something has gone wrong with the site - no new temps since 9 this morning! Earlier for some.

At 8.30 this morning Perth was at 20.4C/69F.

Whew! Went through the back door and found updated results. That was weird though. Up to 27C here now.

Cyn, I'm hoping by the time the equipment arrives the heat wave will have passed..

Sorry it has taken so long to get here this morning. Had a lovely email from Suzy full of concern. Once again, you guys rock!

Hubby and I were taking advantage of the cooler morning temps to get some stuff done but have shut the house up again now.
