I guess I have to think about tea - I can have anything I like, because I'm home alone!
Well actually, no, I can have sausage stew, because that's what I have ingredients for. Haven't made it in ages. It occurs to me that now that the darling girl is gone and the beloved boy is moving out on Tuesday(?) I can cook all those things I used to cook, that the kids never liked. Yes, come Tuesday (or thereabouts) I will be a free woman! I'll probably miss them. :0

Since Viv and Cyn started it....
A professor at the University of Sydney was giving a lecture on 'Involuntary Muscular Contractions' to his first year medical students. Realizing this was not the most riveting subject, the professor decided to lighten the mood slightly.
He pointed to a young woman in the front row and said, 'Do you know what your a$$hole is doing while you're having an orga$m?'
She replied, 'Probably fishing with his mates.'
It took 45 minutes to restore order in the classroom.........

I really can't imagine having the house to myself every day - after twenty-eight years that's fairly hard to get used to. Now Adam's room can be for ... well, ANYTHING we like! Maybe a "fitness centre"? Hey, and this means we can get the carpets replaced, get a new bed for the "guest room" ... whoa, I see major overhauling coming up!

I just got an email from my niece - her daughter, my great niece started Year 1 this week and was interviewed by the local paper. Miss Charlotte is an 'old soul' and a very amusing child - her comment to the paper - 'We learnt about Australia Day. I like school because you learn good things - all the things you don't know.' Honestly, Charlotte, I thought you already knew everything! Her Mother said it was a nervous wait for the paper to come out, wondering just what she might have said.

Remember when you ran away
And I got on my knees
And begged you not to leave
Because I'd go berserk?
Well. . .
You left me anyhow
And then the days got worse and worse
And now you see I've gone
Completely out of my mind
And. . .
They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!
You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I had said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right. . .
You know you laughed, I heard you laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad!
And. . .
They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!
I cooked your food
I cleaned your house
And this is how you pay me back
For all my kind, unselfish loving deeds?!!
Hah. . .
Well you just wait
They'll find you yet
And when they do they'll
Put you in the ASPCA, you mangy mutt!
And. . .
They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes

Hey girls, we could have a page party on Heidi's page while she's out of the loop. It'll just give her that much more reading to do when she connects up again. What do you think?? Or will we be overtaxing her email box if she's got that option activated.
Tiaras, boas, party hats, dancing chickens, champagne and chocolate - Yeeee Haaaa!

A SHORT LOVE STORY
A man and a woman who had never met before, but who were both married to other people,
found themselves assigned to the same sleeping room on a trans-continental train.
Though initially embarrassed and uneasy over sharing a room,
they were both very tired and fell asleep quickly, he in the upper berth and she in the lower.
At 1:00 AM, the man leaned down and gently woke the woman saying,..........
'Ma'am, I'm sorry to bother you, but would you be willing to reach into the closet to get me a second blanket? I'm awfully cold.'
'I have a better idea,' she replied 'Just for tonight,...... let's pretend that we're married.'
'Wow!...................... That's a great idea!', he exclaimed.
'Good,' she replied. .............'Get your own f#*king blanket.'
After a moment of silence, ......................he farted.
The End

Viv, why not just cook the tomatos and freeze them for later use. (You may need to add a small amount of sugar to combat the acid)

SUZY, about why we have a head. . . some thoughts. . hope it is not too late to help Ebob
Our head is the only part of our body totally encased in bone, covered thinly with muscle and skin. this allows protection for the brain, the control center for the body. If the functions of the brain were scattered throughout the body, it would be harder to protect them.

Hi Brenda, I am about but have finished the puzzles and will go back to bed again soon.
Our weather is a bit more moderate. Have not looked at the forcast but probably in low 30*c's.
Ken is still hobbling around. Will be having an ultrasound on the leg next week. Still has the cough as well. he is generally very fit and healthy so finding it hard. Does not complain but is lying on the bed most of the time to keep the leg up.

June, I've just been off trolling the forecasts etc. One site said I would have temps around 30C to 33C until next Thursday which would be 38C. I didn't like that at all so I looked for a different forecast and found one that is a few degrees lower, and doesn't have the Thursday peak - decided I'd stick with that one! Yours are about the same or a touch lower, with rain next Thursday.
The big fire I mentioned in Victoria is still going. 57 Trucks there. I feel really bad for the fire fighters trying to fight fires in the types of temps they have down there!

Warning to all Aussies - if you are reading a news article and it quotes the National Enquirer as it's source, consider it entertainment only and wait for the famous person it is probably about to make an announcement that it isn't true...

Hi Suzy, Hi Broni.
I tried to look up the brain and the brainless last night.
I felt the difference was the ability to think and control their actions. I was looking for a classification of those without a head but could not find one.
