Tami, some of the stuff is my uni son's. He's home on holidays. But yeah, we do have a lot of stuff. Too much.

I won't even tell you what my dining room looks like. My SIL turn her house into a Kosher house last year. Kosher is the strict Jewish dietary laws. She had to get rid of all kitchen stuff. I still have most of it in boxes in my dining room. I have taken most of what I wanted. One of the teachers I work with is getting her own place soon so I said I would give some to her. My garage has a 2 foot pathway in it to get from one end to the other, the rest of the space is full of junk.

Broni, I checked out where you are going to see how close you will come to me - um, several hours inland of me, unless you take the long way down the coast.

Tami, even while I'm posting about our dramas I know that many many many parents have gone through it all before me - it's only me it's a first for!!!

Going inland Zusy, otherwise would have been on your doorstep. Limited time this trip, otherwise would have done Melbourne as well and came back up the coast.

It will be a quick visit by the time you get all the way down there! You will only be about 2 hours from my mother...

I forgot to tell you HOW brave Ally was. The nurses and staff in casualty were talking about her and one of them told me what they were saying. Some thought she had been given something in the ambulance until they were told I had taken her in. They were astounded at how calm she was and her lack of tears. It was like they had never seen anything so brave from someone so young...

Told you you had exceptional kids!

They make me proud almost every day - on the other days I want to strangle them!

I think I will take a short nap with the phone beside my ear and an alarm set...

Suzy, I'm so sorry to hear about Ally's broken bones. Please give her a gentle hug from me. I hope she is doing OK and the break won't make the start of school more difficult!

Susan, I'm so glad to hear that the water didn't reach your electrical outlet to knock out your power - AND - glad to hear that the water has started to recede. I hope future storms avoid your area!

And now I have caught up on my reading and find that the water is again rising in Susan's house. I'm so sorry to hear that. Still thinking dry arid thoughts here for you.

SUSAN, So sorry to hear the water is rising again. Glad to know you have a boat if you have to leave. Goodonya to hubby for helping others during your flood.

I can tell Suzy is sleep deprived, from what she called the bone doc who set daughter's arm. It is OK Suzy, we know all about sleep deprivation and what it can do to our brain cells. .

hmm...bigs = big hugs...the hug bit didn't get from my brain to my finger tips...brain obviously is still in a slurried state after all the heat!!

I've had a nap and feel much better - and I agree with MizT that Ally's orthopod would be horrified if he saw what I called him.. Blushing!!!

All of the expected phone calls came through during my nap.

Coach called and told he has seen a lot of breaks and Ally's was the 'best' reaction he has ever seen. I passed on Allly's message 'tell tony not to worry, I'm okay that my arm is broken'. I could hear him shaking his head down the phone line.

Doc's nurse called and said it is unlikely that Ally has damaged her arm in her attempted spider escape but to keep an eye out for the following....

Singing organiser says she is fine with Ally performing with a broken arm.

Suzy - to Ally. Nothing worse than one of your kids suffering, is there? Tell her that her cyber-aunts are all thinking of her and hoping she heals fast!
Susan - hope those floodwaters do not rise too much and I hope that new developing low near Cairns keeps away from your town.

I'm in a state of disarray. I had no idea that starting a small business would involve so much. Every turn we take it costs. I'm so over it!!!

Don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but I have the 'Clips' page as a tab so I can refresh that to see if there has been another comment on the SA page (sometimes refreshing the SA page can take too long). Lately I have noticed that the number of posts does not agree with the page total, or that the last to post is NOT the last person who posted!
Not paranoid or anything but as my post was the last (13633), I have come to the page to recheck because first it said that Broni was the last, and now it says that Cyn was the last...still my number post though...do do do do, do do do do (that was the Twilight theme BTW!).

Don't check it now ok...it is making a liar out of me!

Gail - I have noticed that lately too and have been going to mention it but couldn't get my head around how to explain it clearly but you're right and it does it often then corrects itself. And it's usually in the afternoon (Oz afternoon, that is).

CynB, thank you for the website to see pictures of Susan's area. The flooding looks quite widespread. So good to hear that Susan's Mum is OK and that Mr. Susan has been able to help others!

Tutoring is finished, I did show and tell with Ally and her Xrays, will I clean up now? Na, tomorrow...

I hope Heidi's situation is improving and any new storms completely pass her by!
