Heidi, that is one scary valentine smilie, wherever did you find it? Only Heidi hehe hehe hehe
Mariana, now you make me fear not getting my skype to work. Hubby has downloaded it, but needs to install and check it out or something, it is not ready now. He keeps asking ME how it works, if I need headphone and mice or what. I do not know! Said he has no experience with skype, well neither do I, so blind leading the blind here. hope to get it going within my lifetime.
VICI, I sort of liked that cherub also. but thinking of Rolando's boys?
BRENDA, I could use a magic vacuum here, but since I do not have one, I am off to do more ffuts. Just had to drop in to catch up on reading.

MizT... I was lucky enough to just stumble upon it. I figured that I'd have the opportunity to use it when Mariana decided to get uppity. Her taunts of "pink" were enough.

MizT if your computer has a microphone and speakers you will not need a headset.
I was posting on Facebook to my brother the other week and I told him about skype, while we were chatting he downloaded skype and withing 15 minutes we were talking to each other face to face

Brenda, I know I have speakers, for a mic for my camera software, I have an ear bud/mic, but it does not get sound over it, I get sound on the computer speakers. HUUUM, just noticed that mic is not here now, wonder where it went?
He will get around to working this out. I do not add things to our puter, not that I cannot, but that is his job, and the union rep would be on my case for doing someone else's job hehe.

I understand what you are saying MizT. If I had to wait for hubby to do things like that for me I would wait for ever. As I used to build some of the computers we used and repair laptops too I just get on and do it myself

Hey SA7'ers...Jumping in to say hello without reading....I either have too little time to read or find too much to read and don't get to comment so am taking a new tact to do a little of both.
My heart is heavy as I watch the continued devastation in Australia...the loss of life and property is beyond belief...my thoughts and prayers go out to all...and I will add a more substantive bit of help once away from the computer.
Went out on my scooter with Jazz for the first time yesterday...It was quite an adventure and Jazz responded beautifully. The neighbors were of course full of curiosity and questions. All in all, I think this will be a big help on my bad days. The weather is all that seems to act as a limiting factor...but we do have enough good, dry weather to make it worthwhile.
On my way to do some reading for now...hope to drop by later on. Peace for now.

Morning all! I love reading the overnight posts when I get up in the morning... I am unreasonably disappointed when you all have a life and don't post much overnight!
This morning Ally has more xrays etc so it will be a busy day.

Did I tell you all that Ally is now pain free? She has follow up xrays this morning. I suspect she will get a new cast as this one is getting loose, probably because the swelling has gone down. Hopefully the next one won't be as heavy!

I haven't got to check to see if anyone else attempted my question about Australia, but for now am going to bestow honorary Australian citizenship on Brenda who almost aced it. I'm still in shock. I think she would beat many young Australians! For you Brenda,

Suzy, I hope that Ally gets a new cast also. You should prepare her, the skin under a cast does not look so pretty. I know it has not been long, but I do think she might notice. You can reassure her, it will return to normal once the cast is off for good.

Morning SA7.
We have had a lovely 2 inches of rain overnight and so much cooler today.
I would have gone without the rain though if it could have gone to Victoria instead.

Some of you might remember my niece had a baby girl Kira 10 weeks early.
Niece had toxemia and they had to give her a caesar. Finally they are back in Port Macquarie and Kira will be in the Base Hospital here until what would have been her original birthdate of March 21st.
Kim goes up every day to tend to her etc. and finally I visited yesterday to see her.
So tiny, I am just downloading the pics now to computer and will put a few up on site shortly.
She now weighs 1.88kl and is doing well.
Just got to fatten her up now. Kim is expressing milk and they give it to her thru her IV every second day and on the other days she is taking it from a bottle. She has a very strong suck so that is good.

Great news, Viv!!! Thanks for sharing it. We all needed something wonderful to celebrate.
Just woke up from a nice nap. Now I need to shower, and head out to our Cattlemen's meeting. The guest speaker is my Judge friend, who'll be talking about landowner's rights and responsibilities. I need to pick up some dog food on the way.

Suzy... the main thing that Ally will notice when the cast is removed will be the aroma. The dead skin that hasn't been washed off tends to ferment under the cast. It can get nasty.
I didn't have that bog a problem with that when I broke my leg in 2007. I kept destroying my casts, so they had to give me a new one every week, and the leg got bathed weekly. When I broke my leg in 1999, I was in the same cast for 8 weeks. When they took it off, the smell was horrible.

Viv lovely new that your niece and baby have been moved and that you have been able to visit.
In the UK premature babies have to reach a certain weight before they are allowed out of hospital, as long as wvwrything else is ok. This could happen before they reach their actual term date.

GIRLS IN MY CIRCLE
When I was little, I used to believe in the concept of one best friend,
And then I started to become a woman.
And then I found out that if you allow your heart to open up, God would show you the best in many friends.
One friend is needed when you're going through things with your man. Another friend is needed when you're going through things with your mom.
Another will sit beside you in the bleachers as you delight in your children and their activities. Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt, joke, or just be.
One friend will say, 'Let's cry together,'
Another , 'Let's fight together,'
Another , 'Let's walk away together.'
One friend will meet your spiritual need,
Another your shoe fetish, Another your love for movies, Another will be with you in your season of confusion, Another will be your clarifier,
Another the wind beneath your wings.
But whatever their assignment in your life,
On whatever the occasion, On whatever the day,
Or wherever you need them to meet you with their gym shoes on and hair pulled back,
Or to hold you back from making a complete fool of yourself . Those are your best friends.
It may all be wrapped up in one woman, But for many, it's wrapped up in several..
One from 7th grade, One from high school,
Several from the college years,
A couple from old jobs, On some days your mother, On some days your neighbor,
On others, your sisters, And on some days, your daughters.
So whether they've been a friend for 20 minutes or 20+ years,
AND ONLY IF YOU'D LIKE TO,
Pass this on to the women that God has placed in your life to make a difference.
I CHOOSE to send this to all of you, my friends.

I hope that when I come back tomorrow I find that there is some good news. My thoughts are with all Aussies fighting the fires and to Susan and anyone else fighting the flood waters. It was good to hear the Ally is pain-free and I hope she gets a new cast on.

Good Afternoon my SA7 family, I hope you are all well and safe. Good to see that Heidi is back, even if she has got another TOPP hehe! Thanks Gail for keeping me informed that you were all safe. No time to catch up, need to unload the campervan, give it a quick clean and take it back.
The Southern 80 Ski Race was cancelled as they needed the medics back to help with the fires, small price to pay and I did get to catch up with my family. The smoke had travelled past Dubbo in NSW before the rain cleared the air.
Catch y'all later.
