June, thanks for the " spiffy' remark. I had combed my hair, and put on that purple that looks brown on camera shirt again. Really spiffy hehehe, Junes night atire I took for a pretty light blue blouse, till she told me different.

OK, this time I am really going to the grocery! I am trying to talk Al into going, so he can drive. I do not like driving in the rain.

June sometimes when I appear on here I may just be catching up on Reading using my phone. It is a little more difficult to post when on that. This post has taken me ages to type on the phone

Good morning lovely SA7 people - off- peak time so i can catch up.
Rolanda - pleased that the boy contacted you and he was OK. Hope you dinner went well last night.
Judy - I've heard that 'The Changeling' is harrowing, especially for a mother. And they don't bite on the Flicks forum site - put in a review - somebody else may even have done one before you and you can agree or disagree with their opinion.

Hi Broni - yes it's only 24c at the moment but you can feel that humidity can't you? Clearing up after the rain is always humid.
I'm wondering if it's still raining at Port. I see the usual places are flooded - Bellingen and Dorrigo.

Yes Cyn, was just checking the news and BOM down there. Possum has to take a container down that way today, may get stuck there.

Yes, my BIL is leaving today heading for Bathurst - I'm wondering if he'll get through but I think the New England Highway should be OK.

The boy arrived home safely, yesterday evening.

Dinner with the Aunts (mum's 2 youngest sisters) and their husbands, mum, the boys, Hubby and I went extremely well.
It twas a noice evening to be sitting outside under the Patio.

Oooooh.... I wish Possum luck. It sounds dangerous.

I fell asleep after my last post. Still don't feel good. Tummy is very queasy. I think I'll stick to tea and crackers tonight for supper. I need to see if I have any chamomile tea. Best thing I know for an upset tummy.

Heidi, get better soon. There are a lot of animals out there that need you.
Brenda, my light is probably on a lot when I am not around. This is my home page and we have virtually unlimited down load so computer is often left on. I must admit I was making conversation to get to the bottom of the page.

ROLANDA, so glad your family gathering went well, nice that you were able to eat outside.

Cyn, hope the weather dries up for you and humidity leaves.

HEIDI, for an upset tummy, I make warm jello and drink. The gelatin seems to coat the tummy or something, it is most soothing.

Heidi - I hope you feel better soon.

We're off to see MIL today - she had a little cataract op on Monday, which is OK normally but she has so many health problems (heart, kidneys, thyroid, diabetes) that docs didn't want to even do this operation. She sounded a little down so Col decided to go over there - at least an hour's drive across town.

Thought I would share this with you, my SIL sent me this regarding her sister who lives in Kinglake, she was one of the lucky ones.

The big shed is a buckled mess and Ross's bus is just a frame, stove and burnt motor left. Nick's bike is just a few gears and part of the exhaust. A lot of the metal has melted into the concrete. The horse float, 3 wheeler, tools etc are beyound repair.

To see the carnage first hand is frightening. I think it will be awhile before Vicki starts to realise the full extent of it. I helped her clean half of the inside of the house because of the soot. The insurance co. will have to wash the walls and it is a cathedral roff house. Malcolm and Gabbi put the front fence and gate up to stop the dog going out and looters. The horses have been shifted as there is no fences on the paddocks.

A fieman said to me yesterday that if the wind had of been going the otherway way it would have hit Warrandyte (I've been saying that place is a tinder box for years) and Doncaster Scary

Broni, sorry to hear about your SIL's sis. She was one of the lucky ones, but she still suffered a lot of losses. Hope she is able to recuperate.

Broni the final comment hit home to me...I was very anxious all day because my sister lives in Nth Warrandyte and was at home with the kids...their fireplan is to stay and fight...She was very anxious being engulfed in smoke and not knowing if hubby was going to be cut off and unable to get home to help..very few roads into Warrandyte.
I don't know if they have changed their minds after the devastation in Cockatoo..

Suzy, I just got a chance to read Ebob's poem and I love it. Hard to believe it was written by someone so young. She has a future as a poet.

And what about you, have you gotten your paper done yet? Am I going to have to fly down there and chain you to your computer and unplug SA7. Get that work done!!!!

In is an interesting history lesson...we look back and think how unbelievable that such a thing could have happened and in a few decades our descendants will look back in horrow at some of our convictions.... The dark ages don't seem so far away at times...
