well goodness! it's been 18 pages since my last visit. (that sounds like confession!)i have been busy keeping my mother entertained and fed. i get a small break now that she is off to work HER parents to death. i hope everyone is doing all right. i'll check in tomorrow hopefully.

Hi guys! Just came back from a nice day out with my sister - Had a good lunch, then went to a movie, Changeling... Well I didn't think it sounded too light-hearted, but she'd heard it was good. Half-way through she leant over to me and said "I'm SO sorry!" Not that it's bad , just very harrowing and certainly not what you'd call fun. Afterwards we had to revive ourselves at the Pancake Parlour - yum! Called Rob and told him to have a big lunch, 'cause I wasn't cooking dinner ... :)

Dag, not stressing, just have a few things beyond my control happening at the mo, and I don't like it!

Sorry Rolanda, I meant to post that for you but life got in the way...darn family wanting to eat each night, like I mean, the audacity!!!

Gail, at the Pancake Parlour I had pancakes with strawberries, cream and icecream - disgustingly decadent, but delicious! Didn't bother with dinner, so I don't feel bad now. The movie was really good, but not for the squeamish - don't know how I'd go at writing a review, I'll have to think about that.

Good morning all! I don't think I'll be able to catch up. It was a busy long weekend. Hope everyone is doing well, the flooding has stopped, the fires have subsided, the cold has abated and all is right in the world again!

We still have snow on the ground and it is chilly this morning, 16F. I'm going to try to finally get all of the xmas stuff put away. I was hoping that hubby and Ian would help over the long weekend, but too many other things going on.

Good Mean Sudokuland! I had a sleep in after being awake in the middle of the night, my morning will be away from me before I know it!

I need a lot of coffee this morning to get going, so join me if you can.

Just got back from a days shopping with D#1. My feet and back are killing me, my bank account is a lot lighter than it was and I'm stuffed to the gills after having a wonderful chinese meal out.

Now have to get working to think of something to give hubby and other kids for dinner tonight. I have a couple of hours to sort it out.

Had an awful night. Spent it worshipping the porcelain god again. Then had to run several early morning errands (including sending my finch airline crate to Texas.... they'll be sending it back to me on Saturday with 2 more Gouldians... pictures on my page) I returned home to 3 new, wet, heifer calves. All are tagged.

The calf total is now 19. Only 5 bull calves. That leaves 14 (FOURTEEN) heifers!!!!!

Brenda, perhaps you need a cup aof tea and to put your feet up a while. that will do nothing for the bank account, but might help the aching feet and back.

Heidi, you should know, that is not a good way to spend the night, on your knees. I hope you feel much better and soon. congrats on 3 more healthy calves, too bad they were not little boy calves.

June is up early doing puzzles and we had a chat on MSN. We tried for a web cam chat, we could see each other but sound never did work, bummer. JUNE, nice to SEE you today!

It is raining, or sleeting, something falling from sky and it is going ping ping on the porch tin roof. Kitties did not like it, both came running for home. One inside with me, one stopped on back porch, still outside but none of that cold stuff falling on her head.

I should go to the grocery. Today is last day of this week's specials, and there are a few of them on sale I need.I should take advantage of the lower price, you know. But it is COLD out there! I will need my winter clothing and perhaps even socks for my crocs!

Not sure what sort of day we expect here. Sharon is working an extra day this week so I will have Laura. I need to clean out a difficult corner cupboard so might get her to 'help'! It will keep her occupied anyway!

Just checked the weather. Rain is going down the coast to you Suzy!.

We have just enough rain to start to green up the lawn and make the garden moist enough to dig. Good time of the year to work in the garden. Hope all the real hot weather has gone.

See all the days getting shorter. it does not seem that long ago that the sun was already up at this time.
