MIL was OK yesterday. She's enjoying being able to see again, even though everything is so bright - her other eye needs doing too. She said she was more nervous about this op than she was about her open heart surgery. She is supposed to spend 18 hours per day on oxygen, but she doesn't, only puts it on when she can't breathe. At least now that she can see better, she can go back to crosswords, jigsaws and crafts (knitting, crochet). She is an amazing woman and never complains about her lot in life - she has had more illness than anyone I know.

I think your MIL should use the oxygen more than she does. A long story involving my MIL, but I think the long term effects are worth considering. But that's none of my beeswax...

I'm glad she is back to doing more of the things she enjoys!

You realize what a miracle sight is, when you hear about people like your MIL, CynB. I think we take it for granted.

Back from errands. We're under a Tornado Watch right now. Yuck.

Why fix something which isn't broken?

Yes. I remember when my Dad has his cataract done years ago - he marvelled at the colour of the sky and the trees - they had got so dull over the years that he hadn't realised.
Suzy - yes I think MIL should use the oxygen more than she does. How she's still alive amazes me but my theory is that she'll go when SHE's ready, not when her body is.

Oh well, it's 8.30am - must go feed the dog and have a shower - back soon.

I agree with not changing over to SA8 yet. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I would love to see how many pages we can make it to. Another record in the works.

No, the avatar has not been approved yet. I only submitted one for her so far. The avatar she and I are using right now is a picture I took at Ft. Lauderdale Beach. We took a drive there and it was a beautiful day. I only live about 20 minutes away and do not go very often to the beach.

I'm never quite sure which of you is using her name, Tami.

I sometimes use her name just to cause more trouble.

I just had a lovely chat with MizTricia on Skype. Now I am off to fling food for the kiddies. For some reason they insist on being fed every day.

Kinda like my critters. They like to eat, too.

So do mine, and they don't want to have to wait for the sugar!

An Aussie police spokesman:

Police spokesman Rex Haw said the wounded man escaped from the Herne Hill property after the shooting about 9.55pm (WDT) last night, but was later located at a Perth hospital.

"There appears to have been a burglary at this winery at Herne Hill," Mr Haw said.

"The bloke has disturbed the offenders and shot one of them.

"The wound wasn't fatal, and the offenders have shot through."

Broni and Suzy, the page numbers and the posts do match. The last post on this page will be 15960. If you divide that by 40, the number of posts per page, you get 399. For post 15961 it will switch to 400, the first of the 40 posts on that page. It will go to 401 at post 16001. I hope this helps you and anyone else.
