Very quiet. Hubby, after much nagging from me and his Mother, finally had the ultrasound done today. With two Doctors both being quite sure he did not have a clot, they were wrong and he does have a clot in his leg. Now onto medication and much care if we travel the long distances overseas.

June, it's so lucky you nagged! Women know that doctors don't know everything. We've generally had years of 'it's all in your head' to prove that to us. Men go to the doctor so rarely they have no idea!

I'm on the computer working on a Flat Stanley project. Flat Stanley is visiting from California for a week or so and we are taking him to places locally. So far he has been to gymnastics where he used most of the equipment, he's had an x-ray (luckily he was fine), he's been to school and he's been shopping for birthday presents for Ebob. We have plans to take him bowling, to baseball, to the volunteer fire station and he has an outback outfit to wear on a bushwalk. He'll be tired by the time he gets back to California!! (Flat Stanley is made of paper and travelled here in the mail)

When does Flat Stanley go back to California? With everything you have planned for him I'm sure he will be a bit tattered having been run ragged to fit everything in.

June, hope they get the medication sorted quickly for your husband. Hearing about friends experiences with clots it takes a lot of trial and error to get the correct dosage of medication.

I have lots of nice pics I could use for avatars but cannot make any of them the size needed, 50 x 50 and they have to be exactly that.

Yes Brenda I use that one too but there are heaps of pics just will not size to 50 x 50.
The flooding has receded, you can see where the river came up a bit and over the roads that run right beside the river.
Not as much as Queenslanders have had though.

June I am so sorry to hear that news.
On the other hand I am relieved that I haven't lost my diagnostic skills!! [Having experienced the exact same symptoms myself 18yrs ago was a bit of a give away as well!]
At least now the problem can be treated appropriately and due care can be taken in the future. Hope it all goes well.
So glad you are getting to meet Dino...enjoy!

I am back, did you miss me? Al and I spent some time last afternoon, evening, hiding in the dome from storms. Tornado watch was out, possible tornadoes (warnings) first north of us, then south of us. We got rain, a lot of rain, most of the thunder was in a distance.
OH, once, there suddenly came rain and hail. The hail was very loud. Scooter kitty, who was asleep on her back opn the floor, jumped up quite high, and looked around with a frightened look. then she starts this pittuful meowing, going to Al, then to me, most unsettled and unhappy. I think she did not like the hail. Or perhaps she felt an accompanying tornado that was not on the ground, many tornadoes have a "hail shaft" just north of them. I usually feel fairly safe if I am getting hail, tornadoes do not usually ( will NOT say never) move in a northerly direction, north east, or east, usually. Luckily for Scooter kitty, the hail did not last long and she went back to sleep again.
It was 9 pm before we got our dinner, it was right at dinner time when this storm popped up. Al keeps crackers and sardines in his office. I do not eat sardines, but had a few crackers to fight away the hunger.

I am glad I did not put away my winter clothes yesterday when I hunted summer ones. Yep, it is cold again, and will be a hard freeze tonight, 29, I think that is about -2C . We have errands to rum today, well, it should moderate somewhat by mid day. I think cold and clear is better for being out and about than wind, thunderstorms and tornadoes of yesterday!
