Greetings chatty people! You talked a lot today while i was otherwise engaged.

We have been re-provisioned and I have been checked by dermatologist. One new spot, DRATS, I was hoping none this trip. He said this is a small one, did biopsy, I will know something in 2 weeks. He is not sure this time, said small enough it is hard to tell. usually he is sure one way or another. Oh well could be worse, last time I had four spots.

Hubby was tired I think, he begged off bringing in all the non perishables tonight. Tomorrow suits me fine. Huumm, must make sure he locked the car, groceries are valuable these days! We did bring in all cold and frozen stuff and got that put away. After being gone for 6 hours, that was enough.

Had a nice BBQ lu7nch today, Huumm, wonder if I will have to cook tonight??

OK going back to read some of the 5 pages I have missed today.

Hello, MizT - nice to see you here. I don't seem to have caught up with you much recently - so many pages filled each day - I can't keep up with the reading!

So what are all the Aussie girls doing on Melbourne Cup day? Not a PH here in Qld but I'm going to a Melbourne Cup function at a local hotel with my sis, BIL and daughter (since hubby will be working). They are always fun and we have to dress up and wear hats etc. 5 course lunch, competitions, sweeps, entertainment. And a TAB right there.

LOL Cyn, don't panic there's no way I can fly up anyway. Just booked the car in to get the brakes checked. Not sure how I'm going to pay them yet......

Just stopped in to say a quick hello. Pupil-free days are called teacher planning days where I am from. We usually have one at the end of each quarter so that there is time for finishing grades. We also have 4 of them before the school year starts to get the school and classrooms ready for the kids. If you look back to Friday, we had a teacher planning day and it "snowed" right on top of my school. It was our principal's way of sending us home early.

Just got back from supper with friends. IH was an hour late, as usual. That's why we always take separate vehicles. That and IH's driving scares the bejeezus out of me.

Tami, the way it has been presented to me during my training, NSW teachers spend all day in some kind of teacher development exercise. Now how it happens in the real world I am yet to discover...

Heidi, my hubby is rarely late to planned events - these days he is rarely home!

Suzy, we usually have training planned for those days as well. This one, we just got lucky. It was the last day of the quarter, we had a meeting in the morning, and as long as our grades were done and entered into the computer we could leave.

No one seems to be around. I am going to say good night and I will catch up tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great day/night.

Rolanda, you just keep inviting Suzy to your house to do stuff. Perhaps the idea of a career in stuff will provide her with some impetus to get her teaching credential. (Not that doing stuff is not honorable -- it is -- but she has expressed desires to educate the masses.) (After a couple of terms of stomping out ignorance, she might just show up at your door with a mop and a bucket.)

Gail, I'm so sorry to hear what a horrible day you had. First Scrappy crossed the Rainbow Bridge, then your Mum not doing well. Prayers are with you, my friend.
