eaa, When Ebob was in Year 1 in the US her only surviving grandparent was too ill to go to grandparents day. Hubby and I went instead. It turned out they had written things to read to their grandparents during the 'event'. Once we had listened to Ebob's I went around the class and got all the little kids with no one there to read me theirs. They were so happy! I was so sad...

Hi All, Gail I extend my sympathy to you on the loss of Scrap and your Mum's illness...hope life doesn't get you down too much.
It seems to be a day of bad news for me, I just received a call telling me that still another dear friend has died...I know that death is a part of life, yet each death right now seems to be cutting into my spirits since they are coming so close together..this is the third close friend,i.e known for 50 years or more, to have died since I loss Sully...its so hard to take. To add to my sorrow, the weather is rainy and cold, and the baseball game is being delayed...that wouldn't have been too bad,except the Rays tied it up 2-2 shortly before the delay. It has gone far enough that it would have been an official game...but since its tied,it's got to be played out.....not sure what's going to happen since the forecast for tomorrow is even worst...just wait and see I suppose...but the field is a mess and it seems a shame to both the teams and the fans to force the game in such bad weather...going to run for now...more later.

Thanks all...You are so good in helping one to get pass a rough time or so...I've been around long enough to know that I'll miss my frends greatly, but I must dwell on those that are still here and enjoy they and love them now...I'm ok, but I will have my pity party, morn those who have gone and then move on...Just have to, or join them...and I'm not ready to do that just yet...knowing I can count on a shoulder where ever I turn sure helps...what a great group you are..

Laura has two specialists appointments this afternoon but they should be good news we hope. The tonsilectomy seems to have improved things for her eating and sleeping and we hope it may have improved the relux/acid a bit as well.
And Ken's Mum is home from hospital si that is one less thing to cope with.

I still have an awful cough with my cold but do not have time to be sick.
Instead of doing jobs just sitting here reading and letting thoughts and feelings flow.

There were a few on line but nearly all have you have disappeared.

I was hoping to go to Melbourne when Rena and Amber were there but now I am not sure if I can make it. Also do not really know the date for Melbourne.
(And by the way only the city of Melb. get the public holiday for the Melb. Cup....they do not get it in the country)
