You have all been so busy here for the last couple of days and now it has all gone quiet.
Suzy, the sweep was a great Idea, sorry I was not around to enjoy the fun.
Glad to see Brenda back and with news of Celia and the completion of bathrooms. Brenda, sorry about hubby's broken rib. That is about a 30 mile drive to the city down the A1 with a broken rib. How would one of those set of wheels you could attach to a suitcase be to enable him to wheel the laptop onto the train and around the city? I am suyre it would be easier than driving.

I did the puzzles and all but the hard jigsaw very early this morning. Feeling restless or something at the moment. Probably just too much going on!

and ! Great day so far!!! All the pigeons and the Betta arrived safe and sound at 6:15 this morning,
I have such a great feeling about the future of this country. We have just elected a really good man as our president. In a major change for this country, the intelligent people won. By an electoral landslide. I'm on cloud 9.

Good Maen all! So proud to be an American this morning! Haven't felt that way in a LONG time...mostly just chagrin and shame. I must say that I was quite impressed with McCain's concession speech. I think if he had shown more of that side of himself I would have considered him more seriously. He demonstrated such dignity. Hope he meant what he said...we need unity and cooperation to survive these tough times. Spirit bless us and keep Barack Obama safe from harm.

Was great reading the comments with Becky, Heidi, Julie, Steve, Suzy, CynB and Tami about elections...agree that it would be so nice not to have to vote for professional politicians - I don't think we were intended to be a 2 party country when we were founded. Definitely keeping my prayers for change...change for the better!

Good Mean Sudokuland! I am checking in from page 319, I have not caught up reading yet. I could NOT get online after we got home last night, AT ALL. Well I would get to home page, and then loose contact, back out and try again. I got to SA page once, for a few seconds, soo frustrating. I gave up and played about 10 more games of solitaire. Found a version where I can win every time hehehe, have won 50 games in a row.

yes the weather should be much more to my liking..

I used to live in Costa Rica. There are 6 major parties there. You really get a choice. And the turnout for elections is really high.

We're below freezing here this morning...and we have snow just a few thousand feet above us - we sure do need a long, hard winter here.

Vici, I don't want the cold to come just yet. Haven't been able to get my bulbs into the ground and only yesterday tore out my veggie garden.

Becky - better get on those bulbs! I still have 200 pink daffodils to get in - fortunately I've already dug up the area they are to go in.
Hopefully I'll get to it later today or tomorrow afternoon while we have clear skies!

Vici, they're all ready to go, but my ear's still all bunged up. Might have to force them next spring.

Becky - what's up with your ear? Wish I were closer...I'd put them in for you - I've had a ton of practice this fall!

I have fluid built up in it. I'm on decongestants and antibiotics (to prevent in infection). It doesn't hurt, but can't bend my head down for long periods of time.

What about having a drain put in? I have one in for the same problem. It REALLY works.

I was up so early this morning, that I'm shot. I shall have to go back to bed in a few minutes.

Has everybody left me?

The doctor wanted to wait and see if the meds work first. Since I haven't had any problems in the past, he's thinking it might be a one time problem.

I LOVE a good cereal in the morning.

Becky - hope the meds clear up your ear condition soon. That's not a fun feeling.
