Congrats on your TOPP, vdV! That one just slipped by us all, I think. We forgot to keep track.

A former boss was running for a seat in the house. Told hubby if only the people voting for him only knew what I know, they'd run him out of town on a rail.

It's OK. I've had more than a fair share of TOPP's today.

Majority rules is OK so long as the rights of the individual are not forgotten. You can not have four foxes and one rabbit deciding what's for dinner on a majority rule.

I wasn't watching until I noticed the count on my last post, and realized that either I scrambled, or I wouldn't get it. My typing is SO slow that I missed.

Feeling philosophical today

Well, It's after midnight for me. I should go to bed and wake up to a bright, new world.

Yes, it was Dubya.

I think the Republicans ended up being surprised at how big a liability Bush became.

Well, I just watched Obama's speech. It was inspiring. I hope that he stays that way!!

Julie, you got to admit he had a tough row to hoe. Granted some of it he brought on himself, but not all.

For me, this has been an interesting and historic day.

i was not totally convinced by either of the preidential candidates. however, as a mother to a wonderful son of african descent, my heart is near to bursting for his bright future. his belief in himself has grown ten fold tonight. what a wonderful moment to witness.

i was sooo busy today, but it was fun busy. i did the fun kind of shopping, had lunch with my sister, carted elsa-3 around all day and she was an angel! it took me all of 7 min. to vote. then while i was doing the unfun shopping i ran into alison who is leaving for a vacation to las vegas tomorrow. after getting dinner on, and the house in order, i got to go to . then i came home to the little ones in bed and got to watch obama's acceptance speech with my son. to see him have such a positive response was the highlight of my day!! wow!

Mariana, that's a mother's dream! How wonderful for your son.

I'm not sure anyone can do well in the current economy, either candidate was going to be taking on a tough job. All we can do is manage ourselves and hope for the best now the voting is over.
