Becky, hubby chickened out of going in costume to the party, after all my work to make a dracula cloak to finish off his costume!
Thanks for your comments (and yours too Suzy) about Vista, will talk to my son about them.

Susan, tell him that I said he's a party pooper.

Saw an article on MSN the other day saying that their next operating system won't be as annoying. Got a good chuckle out of that one.

From page 320 and 321, and yes, I am slow today catching up

RUBY, I saw that headline about the stray bullet at the Texas NASSCAR race, but did not read the story yet. 'Twas not me! Do not own a gun of any kind! Well, unless you count a Pellet or BB gun! That BB could not travel across my back yard.

HI JULIE, good to see you posting again.

TAMI, daughter #3 lives in Melbourne FL, how far from you is that? I know it is one of the B counties, but never can keep it right. Looks like it is a right far piece up the coast though.

June, Richard's laptop bag has a set of wheels, the problem isn't pulling it around while he is on the flat. Using public transport would mean that he would have to lift it up to access station platforms, and I'm sure will remember if you ever used the underground when you have been to England that they all have either stairs or massive escalators to negotiate. While he is driving he is actually sitting still (Automatic car with power steering)I lift the heavy bag into the boot of the car and someone at the other end lifts it out for him.

Hope his rib gets better soon Brenda. I do know what the underground is like and also a LOT of people in a hurry getting on and off the trains! We have also sat on the M25 on a wet November Friday night at around 5pm when we had not organised a bed for the night!

Rolanda, it is a bit hard to hold an umbrella and grocery bags at same time! Of course none of the offspring were home to help, right? Hope you got nice warm dry clothing on.

BECKY, I always thought that exit poles and reporting state results while west coast states were still voting was unfair.

STEVE, HEIDI, me too, me too! I wonder just how many of us on here have dyslexia problems. And how many of those can read print or even cursive "upside down and backward"?

JULIE, Hiedi, your avatars almost match, I have to look closely to identify you by avatar hehehe. Love the fall leaves.

I have wished for many years, that the USA would follow other nations and limit campaigning to 6 weeks! It is getting longer and longer, over a year now, just too much!

HEIDI I hope your friend does well in the state senate, and is not corrupted by the environment there.

Richard is fortunate not to have to use the M25 (the longest known carpark in England) He also picks his times to travel. Leaves home after the peak morning rush hour and leaves work after the peak evening rush. Makes getting home a bit late but saves him sitting in queues.

BECKY, thank you for the list of free ISPs. we have free AOL already, but it is not set up for dial up at the moment. Hubby said he would see if he could do that for me on my puter, he thought he had a phone line he could attach to it. would help middle of the night. If I wake and cannot sleep, I NEED my internet connection hehehe.

OK, turning the page to 326, I shall be on current page again, YEAH!

hello everyone. i woke up to a blanket of snow on the ground. at sometime during the night zachery-14 let the dog out, and didn't shut the door all the way. brrrr! i felt like a little kid, when the fire wasn't lit in the morning and we all sat around waiting for it to get going! of course my kids were all huddled around a heating vent.

i'm feeling hopeful too, heidi and vici. if i had any doubts about obama, they were dispelled during his speech. that kind of energy and ability to bring people together for a common cause is what this country is going to need.

glad you got your little critters home at last heidi. i'm sure that caused you a bit of stress having them lost in the mail!

becky, your bathrooms are done??!!! hooray! i am happy for you even though i am soooo jealous! too bad about hubby's ribs and commute. what an pain!

i have 70 daffodils to plant too. note to self...the next dry day, no matter the temperature, those daffs are going in!! i too have the beds all ready to go, but have been dragging my feet. the pansies will have to wait until the spring.

SUSAN, hubby has promised to put his comments about Vista into an e-mail to me, said he could not do it in 50 words or less (that's about the limit of my memory today). When he does I shall pass on to you. I do remember he said compatibility problems, with both software and hardware was one concern.

ALL caught up now, at last, and perhaps I can get a bit more stuff done today.

yesterday fore the doc (it was scrape and burn a spot day, doc was in the room for a total of 2 minutes, honest, it was that small) I planted one container of pansies. I do so love having that bit of color over winter right by my back sliding glass door! That is the south facing end of the back porch, and they get a lot of sun and will bloom all winter for me.

Dinner is planned overs, so no major cooking, I think I need one more vegetable , perhaps steamed broccoli. I made a pie yesterday morning, but then Al and I got to hospital area early, after shipping packages to a customer. We stopped in for pie and coffee, so did not need MORE pie! yesterday's pie was a total NO NO, full calorie and fat Key Lime pie with real whipped cream on top and it was wonderful!! So we have the uneaten low cal pie for sweeets tonight.

Out of here, must do FFUTS again. Hugs to all.

Oooooow - Key Lime pie! So delish!!!
Mariana - I sure do appreciate your attitude about Obama. I was very impressed with McCain's concession speech - but sad at all the booing going on every time he mentioned Obama. I guess I might have felt equally soured had the election gone the other way. That is why I appreciate your postitive outlook so much.
Also - I am SO JEALOUS of your snow!!! ...can't wait to see it here!

I'm always sad when an old friend passes, but I was so prepared for hers that it didn't hurt much. It was a blessing, really. I was afraid that I would have to put her down. THAT would have hurt.
