Prop 8 was banning same sex marriage.

It's hard enough for people to find their soulmate. If a couple wishes to make a lasting and legally committed relationship , what business is it of anyone else's???

Just back from doing Taxi Seervice for Sharon and was 'nearly' wiped out when a car shot in front of me from a side street. fortunately I was going slow, turning with an arrow, and was able to screech to a stop as he passed a few feet in front of me. Looked at Sharon and said "That was all we needed!"

Now I can finish what I was going to post. I wonder though about bringing children into same sex marriages. I know having two parents who love each other is the most important thing, but I wonder about the impact on the children. I don't know of anybody in this position, so can only wonder.

Susan, my instincts on your question are that it would be the same as any other marriage/ partnership. If the relationship is good all is good. If there are problems, then they affect the kids. And since we all have problems from time to time, all of our kids are messed up!!

Grocery shopping this morning, with hubby!!!
Then a few more messages and then we went to Hog's Breath for lunch. Very nice it was too.
This afternoon have been w****** and just put some gladioli bulbs in the garden.

I've been delayed .... so I thought y'all might enjoy a little one from IH. While shopping today, I bought a bag of Chex Mix for, you know, grazing. IH spotted the bag, and instead of opening it at the top, he tore a hole in the side of the bag. Can't close it that way. NO common sense. Grrrrrrrrrrr

Agreed, Suzy. I meant more though how kids might be treated by other kids at school, even filling in forms that require parents' names etc. Kids might have trouble dealing with their parents' lifestyle, especially if they're copping teasing / bullying at school. Hopefully you're right that if the relationship is good, all is good, but I just don't know. At least on these pages I can say this without getting blasted for mentioning a topic that I don't know much about.

Sharon is marking HSC papers tonight. Laura home with her Dad, Ken training his baseball team so I can relax for a while.

We will have to pick Sharon up later and take her home. Will be glad when she is driving again.
