Hello, y'all. Today is a beautiful day in Ruby, SC.

I got an e-mail last week from a fellow who wants to start a paid subscription sudoku site in the US. He wants to have puzzles where people can ask questions and others can answer on the puzzle. He envisions members forming communities, principally around cities, who will get together and discuss sudoku. Can you imagine that?

Good luck with your trip to the doctor. I hope it turns out to be something minor that can be fixed/will clear up soon.

Is Max like my girls - well enough to play sport, but too sick to go to school? At least they try that anyway, it doesn't work...

Morning June and MizT. I've probably missed you now! I was off writing a long overdue email to my friend who makes the jewelery.

The sun is right in my eyes at the moment, it's about to go over the patio roof which will make typing and reading much easier!

Some days it is getting very warm here MizT, but not hot enough for air conditioning yet - if we had air conditioning!! This morning though I can see my lawn mowers breath on the air... It seems she has been doing too good a job and has given herself a tummy ache. She is looking a bit better this morning but I am keeping an eye on her to make sure she doesn't do the colic things....

Hi Suzy,I have only three little pig left now. They are growing big ,round and fat. We come from a dairy and beef area. There's a beef property down the road that have a few orphan calves every year so we buy three or four every year. We buy a 'wet nurse' cow and she adopts a couple of the calves. The other couple I hand rear.[they keep the grass down] When the dairy cows start calving there is to much new milk for the calves so we collect it then buy a few piglets to grow out.

eaa, is pork like lamb/mutton? That is, totally different if you let the pig grow up before slaughtering? I've never thought about that before.

I'm awake for a little while. My body tells me it wants to go back to sleep, though. I may just do my feeding chores early so I can get lots of sleep in one chunk. THIS IS SO FRUSTRATING!!!! I have so many projects I want to do, and no energy to do any!

Heidi, I can imagine with all you have to do on an average day that it would be difficult to find the energy for extra projects right now. Did the doc give any indication of how long this will last?

I meant does old pork taste different to young pork eaa... So do little piglets get to grow into pigs before they go to the sty in the sky, or, like lambs, are they sent off before they become tough and stringy...

Poor Rayray. I wish I could give you a hug You need one.

I THINK what Suzy is asking is..... Well, with sheep, there's lamb and mutton. With cattle there's veal and beef. With swine is there ONLY pork?
There is also suckling pig, but that isn't a standard type of meat. Pretty much, pork is pork. A younger animal tastes a lot like an older animal. Nobody would eat old boar, unless they had a taste for really strong, gamy, meat, but there is no separate category by age.

Thanks Heidi... I just found it really strange that I hadn't thought about pork in those terms before. I felt a little bit like a kid who thinks milk comes in bottles and not from cows...

Morning DUGs...and Rayray!
What's all this babbling about piggies??
I believe I'm related to "Pig" (oink-oink)! LOL
Heidi - keeping positive thoughts for you - I can only imagine how frustrated you are with all you have going on at your place.
My thought is your body (or the Spirits that Be) think otherwise for you. Easy on ya, girlfriend!

Suzy, I hope you don't call anyone a backfatter, That would be a huge insult. A big fat pig that has past its use by date and fit only for the sausage factory. Hehehe.
