How did I miss the item about an 800 pound door!!?? Somebody will get at least a broken toe just trying to hang it. Is it made of solid oak with lead trim?

Gail and Viki, thanks for the well wishes for our "little" knucklehead. He's got a couple of scrapes on the side of his face. Cleaned them and put on antibiotic ointment. They don't seem to bother him and have scabbed over. No hint of infection (fingers crossed), so am thinking he'll be ok.

Mariana, an 800 lb. door? Can't even imagine.

vdV, happy to see your post. Was just thinking about you and wondering if all is ok.

Mamacita, glad to hear that you're doing better. Now keep it up, 'cause I don't want to become a nag. Hope Jazz continues to improve also.

Laura woke crying her mouth was sore and is now asleep in my bed where I should be. It is raining which means that it does not matter that the garden did not get watered yesterday (we can only water Wed and Sun.) Holiday in NSW today. Not sure how we will spend the day.

It is 5.19am. Sudoku has not made daylight savings time as yet!

we slept with the air con on last night..1st time this season.I'm glad summer is on its way.The garden is looking colourful with gladioli & hypiastrums coming out.Just have to keep up the water now.This is the first time in over 15 yrs that we aren't on water restrictions.

I didn't get up until 2 pm today. Wasn't able to get the rest I needed yesterday, so my body had to compensate. I still need to have my brekky, so off to make a cuppa. Then I need to clean up and head over to the Funeral Home. An elderly friend passed away, and I need to pay my respects to the family. He had a good, long life, he earned a lot of people's respect, and his life was full of friendships. Not a bad way to be remembered.

Did you see the Pumpkin Pie recipe I posted in the recipe section? If you've got a big pumpkin, chunks of it will do. That recipe is for 1 pie only.

Yep found the recipe thanks, just one question. What sort of pie base is it? Savoury, Sweet or Puff?

Pumpkin pies do puff up a little, and they're also sweet ... 1 cup of sugar will do that.

Use a very basic, simple crust. The kind you would use for apple or cherry pie, just no top crust.

Hubby is now sick with a stomach bug, so we decided unanimously to stay home, instead of going to the Funeral Home. Neither of us feels up to it, and neither of us wants to give one of our "bugs" to the others there. Most will be elderly. We'll send something instead.

you complain about what people say and you purposely stir up stuff about a time in sudoku life and about people you know little about.
'you get sick of hearing about the past on sudoku' well maybe people get sick of reading stuff you post too... oh maybe that is why people left, ever contemplated that.

for those of you curious about my massive door i put a pic up. it is 8ft. high and 7ft wide. sorry i don't know the metric measurments, and i don't want to do the calculations to figure it out. because i could you know. i'm THAT smart! i only read this page. guess i had better go read easy!
