I think the trouble is that people don't like to listen to reason. Some folks think that what was said as good advice is abusive, when all it that was meant was an attempt to tell someone to tone down. So report this as abusive as well if you feel it is!

i easy! i saa6! both serve their purposed for me. this is more personal in nature as i'm sure not everyone on easy cares about my doors. but, it sure is fun to feel like most of you here might have a thought about them for me. thanks for the door comments! on easy it is less of my day to day activities. more of a place to read jokes, hear about cool stuff like the switzerland project that caused so much trouble the other day (which i sort of enjoyed to a point), read peoples international views on different ideas, and watch emotional debates like old time vs. new. i like both.

the door... i found it online looking for arched doors. it was the only one my husband showed the slightest intrest in. it was made in mexico by family of the door company i went through. rena, i am keeping out neighborhood children who think my house is theirs! hahaha the other exterior doors are very friendly wood doors that say "come in!"

Could I borrow it to keep my children out while I clean my house?

if you can move it, it's yours! we used a system of pullys and come along winches (not to be confused with come hither wenches!). also there were 2 burly guys and 4 17 year old boys who thought they were stronger than the old men. what a shock for them when they realised they weren't!

Ah Marianna...thanks for that last comment...you answered my questions on the door installation process.

Well from reading these comments today on Easy and SA6, it appears that those from the good old days did not like the changes made to the site and have either left or choose not to comment anymore, that is their choice. Those of us left also have a choice, we can live by the rules of the site or not. I personally enjoy my time here and the friends I have made. Pretty simple when you think about it.

I have one little question. Why is it, when someone comments on the easy page, people feel they must come here to respond to it?

broni- i love simplicity! people can think whatever they want and can say whatever they want, if they want to. but in the end, it is what it is. love it or leave it...those are the choices available.

How about...love it, then leave it.

Rean, it is because we have a happy community here, and we look after each other. There are lurkers everywhere, they are just trying to stirr us up. Pretty hard to stir up someone who is happy with life(ups and downs) Anyone is welcome as long as they are noice to each other.

because you dont own this page it is all part of sudoku and if we choose to post here to answer your comments we are entitled to do so.
snipes like this about other posters on sudoku is one of the reason why people are driven away from the site altogether because of your them and us mentality. we are all allowed to post wherever we choose to and stirring up one section of the site and running here to hide with a smart comment is not acceptable.

MizT, yes, our knucklehead is the dog. He's going to be ok. I looked at the spots this morning and there's just a little bit of scabbing left.

June, sorry to hear that you got "kicked" out of your bed again, but am hoping that Laura gets better.

Heidi, oh no, both of you sick. Was thinking you might want to call the doc and see if there's anything else that can be done to get you well.

I play the puzzles and come here to visit. I try to say welcome to anyone who wants to post here, tho sometimes I fall down. I haven't posted on Easy for a long time 'cause frankly I've been busier this year and I feel like I've gotten to know a lot of the people here.

With that I probably won't be around the next couple of days. The reasons being: 1) the caulk didn't cure and when we took showers, it slid off the surround and I get to pretty much start over; 2) on the way home today, the brakes on my car went out.

broni-i know there are people who only come to sa6 to chat. it was nice of you to include them in the conversation. i'm sure they appreciate it.
rosemary- please come anytime if you need people who you can laugh with or cry with on the mundane or traumatic things in your life. this has been a refuge for me in many ways and i am greatful for it. (this is said very sincerely.)

well, my husband thinks i'm crazy for caring about what is going on here tonight. he may have a small point, but i just can't help it! i want everyone to know that i think you ALL have very valid points. the old times DO sound like a riot. currently i enjoy what it is. it would be great to experiance some of the old times (looks like a cruise is shaping up), but i still really enjoy the sight currently. i come to easy for some things and sa6 for others. it is a bit easier to get "lost in the crowd" on easy, but i don't mind. for me sa6 is a more personal, day to day arena and easy is for jokes, debates (such as now vs. then), hearing about earthquakes you weren't aware of and when you don't feel like reading fluff. both serve their purposes. btw, i have never seen someone post on sa6 without being warmly welcomed. ALL are encouraged to come. you can read all about my new 800 lb. doors if you like. i am posting this in both places so as to not show any preferences. buona notte amici.

I worked all weekend long. I slept-in until 12:30 pm! Now I am WIDE awake. So many people post on here I'll never be able to catch up.

Well, this is all new to me!!!! SA6?? Had no idea what you were all talking about when it was mentioned on the 'Easy' pages. I found it though. This wasn't here when I used to post. Can somebody explain to me what this page is for??? Is there a difference between this page and 'Easy'?

Deb, there was a contest over a year ago and through it several of us became friends. Gath has provided us this venue to continue. Since we stretch from England to Australia, a post that stays put is helpful. Our numbers have waned and waxed, but the people here are warm, positive, and empathetic. We share our mundane lives and get and give advice, nagging, pep talks, support, sympathy, and cyber hugs. It's pretty boring, actually, and I don't think the general populace wants to hear it nor do we want to share it with everyone. We don't talk about others. On the three occasions that I can remember that someone from Easy has been mentioned (that's very few for this many people), someone from Easy has blown in here and told us off, sometimes even accompanied by a delegation. That's OK. Blow off steam, get it off your chest, clear the air. Life goes on. If you'd like to join us, please do. You are welcomed. Everyone is welcomed.

Heidi, sorry never did answer you about my neck. Think I caught a bug with my last bout in hospital and I wake in the middle of the night having coughing fits and think I stuffed my neck while not fully awake. Duh!
