Heidi, you are a lot softer than you let on. I can tell you are looking for a reason to say yes. I disagree, but respect your choice, whatever it turns out to be. Congrats on more healthy calves.

MizT, my med that isn't covered by the government turned out to be cheaper than I'd feared. Still a lot if I fill it 6 times. I hope Tanya's is sorted out.

I spent the morning with hubby at diabetes education and a presentation by a dietitian. In a month he is to go back for an individual appointment with her. He has already lost a lot of weight, though that has slowed down, thankfully.

No, I am not looking for a reason to say yes. I am NOT going. I'm dying of curiosity to see if he can think of anything generous enough to tempt me.This is kind of fun watching his mind working to find the least he can do to get me to agree. And I know he's too cheep to do anything to make up for my time, effort and sacrifices.

Grandma and Grandpa were visiting their kids overnight. When Grandpa found a bottle of Viagra in his son's medicine cabinet, he asked about using one of the pills.

The son said, 'I don't think you should take one Dad; they're very strong and very expensive.'

'How much?' asked Grandpa.

'$10 a pill,' answered the son.

'I don't care,' said Grandpa, 'I'd still like to try one, and before we leave in the morning, I'll put the money under the pillow.'

Later the next morning, the son found $110 under the pillow. He called Grandpa and said, 'I told you each pill was $10, not $110. '

'I know,' said Grandpa. 'The hundred is from Grandma. '

Anecdote: dolph Lungren has made a few action movies, famous for his body. He got his masters in chemical engineering at Sydney Uni in 1982. I started my chemical engineering degree in 1982. Dolph was famous for not actually attending because he was off being Grace Jones' bodyguard. He still got his masters though. Maybe he did all the work before he met her.

I noticed something today, I talked to people's chins. I didn't see anyone I knew, but everyone I interacted with, in stores, at the health centre... I talked to their chins, not their eyes. I noticed because the guy at the deli asked me if I needed anything else and the way he asked me drew my eyes to his. I hadn't noticed until then, but I thought back and then noticed from then on. I'll have to pay attention the next time I'm around people I know. It has to be weird for other people, no matter whether I know them or not.

Good Morning fro my home to yours.
Suzy, that procedure doesn't sound like much fun but do hope it will be of great use in helping you.
Another goodie DorA...I like the way your Risky plays out here for us...Lol.
Keep probing Heidi...Gil's working hard, at least, trying to convince you to drive him to the conference.
Julie...with your schedule it must be hard to keep catching up to things you want to know about...good you have a persistent side that keeps you pushing...many wouldn't even try. Hang in there and do take time to smell the roses along the way, as often as you can
June, I do hope you are off catching up on some much-needed rest. That would be well earned I'm sure...but I'd bet you are now trying to sort those things that were left in boxes during the holidays...remember...you are important...things are always in need of doing...but they can wait until you do them.Tricia, has the rainy weather sidelined you again? Hope the forecasted warm-up helps to ease any aches and pains until your appointment with the pain doc...take care all.

Suzy, hope your test goes well. When is it scheduled? thanks for thinking of Tanya. No, it is not sorted, and this is a medication you should not stop suddenly, either. We paid cash price for 5 tablets, as insurance said the fastest they can get this formulary exception is 3 days.

Need to get busy today, I have some things need doing, since I did not finish yesterday's list. Rain all day, and a big weather related flare once again lasting hours. Hope today is a better day.

Gil isn't actually going to a conference. He's going to the RFDTV studios to be part of a program on, I believe, livestock management. He'll be putting in his 2 cents worth on deworming. So he'll be getting nationwide coverage, and some wining and dining. He still thinks basking in his glow is enough reward for me. Yeah, right! In a pig's eye it is!!!!!

So Alie's boyfriend is here writing android apps on his apple laptop. Something to do with the OS being more like Unix, and Linux. Yeah, I kinda understood the names but not why it made a difference.

Ouima, the weather changes are not being kind to me. today was better weather, but still I am not back up for my game. Hope both sis and I are better tomorrow, she is coming for a visit.

Did you know that this month is National Peanut butter month? We had a peanut butter party today. individual small containers of peanut butter, with all manner of things to dip or spread, apples, bananas, pretzels, crackers, grahams, vanilla wafers. It was great fun! NO planned activity, just good chat. We squeezed 7 around our table. Mary and Judy from Scrabble, Susan, my upstairs neighbor, Dave for a bit, he was a social butterfly, sitting with different ladies,as he was the only guy present.

Temps improving, was 57 for a high today, tomorrow mid sixties, Sunday high 60's, Monday just into 70's. Spring is returning :). After all this rain, with return of spring temps, I expect early blooming scrubs and trees to bloom out. Must remember to check our pear tree tomorrow.

The daffodills have been so cheerful these rainy grey days, nodding in the stiff breeze. We have indeed had our share of March winds. One bloom's stem was broken near the base by wind, I cut it and put in a bud vase at the office downstairs, for residents who do not get outside to enjoy.

Suzy, my hubby really liked Linux, I think he even built himself a Linux machine. He said it was so much easier and had open source programs. Hoped it would be the OS of the future.

Good night all, enjoy what is left of your weekend, you ladies of Oz. Hugs.

MizT, I loved that Bren was programming for a competitor on his Apple machine. The fact he did it for a reason is awesome too. He is the youngest employee by 6 years, but recently was acting supervisor while someone was away. The people he was supervising didn't mind because none of them realise he is only 19. He has a 5 o'clock shadow by 10 in the morning.

He doesn't talk about his pain much but I asked Alie. She said the other day she bumped his foot, not hard, and he all but cried with the pain. They are going to join a gym with a heated pool, spa and sauna to see if any of those help.

I loved the peanut butter party. I just read an article that said a study of high risk children (excema at an early age, not sure how to spell that), who were introduced to peanut products before 11 months, it would have to be peanut butter because you can't give nuts to a little one, were far less likely to develop a peanut allergy. I want to say none of them did, but I might be wrong.

My foster uncle is currently on oxford street attending the Mardi gras and is posting lots of photos. It looks awesome. Politicians are also posting photos from there, one of them firmly gripping is wife's hand to make sure nobody mistakes him as actually part of the LGBTQIA community.

The ''orange side'' must respond -

On the positive side, Trump is not a ''career politician'' who is intent on maintaining the status quo, i.e. don't rock the boat.

Okay, now I've done it....

My favorite cow, Doll, just had twin bull calves. She's nicely bonded with both, and is ecstatic. She's had twins before and loves having 2 to care for.
For the first time this calving season, we have more bulls than heifers..... 10 bull calves, 9 heifers.

I will agree to disagree that there is anything positive about Trump's Actions as a presidential candidate. He has done much to turn that boat, you speak of, upside down by filling it with so much hatred and fear for those who are gullible and misinformed. We can and hopefully will do better than choosing him as a leader..I approve of this statement and in no way think less of you and your devilment DorA...Lol.
BTW, A way of explanation for you dugs, our political messages have often ended with the approval tag...so I was having a bit of fun.

I have been noticing a scary-strong resemblance between Trump and Sen. Joe McCarthy, the power hungry bully who enjoyed destroying lives. A good friend of mine recently pointed out strong similarities between Trump and Hitler. None of the 3 have/had any interest in doing what was best for ALL the people. Trump's announcement today that he is going to change the laws to legalize torture terrify me like no ''career politician'' ever could.

Your point is taken and I agree that career politicians have made a mess...I just happen to think the so called businessman will make a larger mess in the long run. Heidi, Sen Joe McCarthy also came to me as an influencing personality...as well as the many other
flawed humans that have influenced Trump....from his father on down to Joe Blow.
BTW...Congratulations on your calving growth...may it continue to go well.

The Washington Redskins finally drop offensive name.

Dan Snyder, owner of the NFL Redskins, has announced that the team is dropping ' Washington ' from the team name, and it will henceforth be simply known as 'The Redskins.' It was reported that Mr. Snyder finds the negative image of poor leadership, mismanagement, corruption, cheating, lying, and graft, and is not a fitting role-model for young fans of football.

Quote for today: 'What I am looking for is a blessing that's not in disguise.' Jerome K Jerome

DORA, cute joke, I had a chuckle over that.

HEIDI, thanks for the calving report. Hope this is a big healthy girl.

Suzy, I am so surprised at some people I thought I knew, people who support Trump. That fact alone can change my opinion of them. Really eye opening. Heidi, I also read the comparison of Trump to Hitler, very scary.

Julie, that is a long time in an auto, but seeing two sisters same day seems very nice. Hope you enjoyed your trip.

WE can all agree, Gil will spend a LOT of energy to get out of work or spending. He could spend as much actually doing a job and it would be done and dusted. He obviously gets great satisfaction from getting someone to do or pay for him.

I am working on a project here at EP. Director wants to re-do the 3 total shade gardens at the drive way entrance. that is where everyone comes and goes, all visotors and residents. It looks very dad. I starting with some plans, then got respinse to e mail as what budget is. $200. Not a chance. the last cleaning and dusting it had was over $700, and that was 15 years ago price on everything. Back to square one on plans. How to make it look better without doing anything

It is 10 pm, and I need to go down and turn on the irrigation system for a bit. Just found out the resident in charge of doing that (needs to be done late night or early morning) has stopped for a while, not sure how long. the ferns are coming back out now, need water. It is all under cover, must be watered, no rain reaches there. This was one person I thought I could depend on. AAAAAAAGGGGH.

There are many times that Gil reminds me of Jack Benny's radio and TV persona. You can almost see the pain in his eyes if he has to spend a single dime on anything. I've watched him really work to figure out ways of getting someone else to pay for a package of gum for him! Several times I've seen him hire a teenager to do some work for him (at LESS than minimum wage... ''They appreciate ANY money they get'') then ask them to wait outside the gate while he goes in to get them a check. FOUR hours later, they're still waiting while he sits inside hoping they'll give up and go away. Fortunately, the local kids are wising up and either refusing to work for him (the majority) or tell me and I MAKE him pay them.

'Ah, how good it feels, the hand of an old friend.' Longfellow

Also a comment from an old friend posted on Sudoku. I so enjoy hearing from each of you, every post.

I think I got enough sleep last night, but it was so scattered, interrupted. I fell asleep in recliner after eating a snack, waiting for dinner and evening med time. Almost missed the final episode of Ellen's Design Challenge. I missed half of it, the part where the were given the assignment, designed and built it. I got there just in time for the judging. Anyone else see this? Was it even shown in Oz?

Tanya is having problems now, all because she cannot get her medication. Too involved a tale to repeat, the stress of knowing what will happen if they do not get her on proper meds is adding to the problem for both of us. trying to get the doc, the insurance and the pharmacy to communicate with each other. On top of that, she tried phoning me late afternoon, (I was in the garden) then sent me a panicky txt to call her NOW. she had cut her finger preparing dinner and it was still bleeding. I hope today is a better day.

I did not get down to water last night. I will ask Loraine to do it tomorrow early, she signed up for this job, let her take responsibility.

MUST go to grocery today. Cannot put off till tomorrow, Ann comes to clean. Last time I tried to get out and back before she came, she came early and I was running late. Cannot go Thursday, the make up Pain clinic appointment. Insurance did approve my visits, hope they relayed that to the clinic. I will try to check tomorrow to make sure. By Friday I would be mighty hungry cause I am out of so many things not sure I could put together a meal.

Enough rambling, I have finished my breakfast. Need to check what time Aldis opens, get ready and be there when it does. I know it is 9 weekends, but not aware of weekdays.

Hugs to each of you, with extras.
