Its a delightful day here. so far. Sunny but cool....just 67℉ / 19℃.

The tire repairman should be here this afternoon, once the tires come in.

MizT.... I think the doc may have the problem pegged, though they need to figure out what drug you're allergic to. I have that kind of reaction to sulfa drugs, and anything with sulfur in it. I can't even use medicated dog shampoos on my dogs, I have to pay someone else to bathe my dogs if they need medicated baths.

MizT, I have you on Skype on the computer at home.Unfortunately I cannot access your name from here to help you out.
Fighting off a cold and a bit constipated. Enjoyed the day on the Bosphorus. It was nice not to have to walk everywhere.
I do not have the battery charger for my camera so careful taking photos. We do have Ken's camera and a video on3e that also takes stills so all is not lost.
The others are having predinner drinks but I did not feelike that tonight so will join them just for dinner.

Tracfone admitted that they messed up big time. They were doing maintenance on their system and accidentally erased my phone number, minutes and days left. I had 1114 minutes left, and 268 days of service, but they claimed that I had run out of minutes and days, so they cancelled my account. I have everything back again, except for my old phone number. And they apologized. I now have a new number, which I find easier to remember than the old one.

Tire repairman didn't come today. I suspect that the tires he ordered didn't come in when he was told they would.

Greetings from a pleasantly cool Illinoiis!

June, feel better soon so you can enjoy your trip!

Broni, I hope you're feeling better!

MizT, I can't imagine dealing with your rash. Hopefully the medication causing all your troubles will soon be identified! Good for you and your temporary chair repair.

Heidi, hopefully the tires (and the tire repairman) will come tomorrow! What a pain with your Tracfone account. It sounds like it has been sorted out. The inconvenience of a new phone number will be hopefully outweighed by a phone number that is easier to remember. Do you have a lot of people to notify about the change? Please be sure to give your new number to someone here!

Vicki, I hope your Mum is improving! Good luck with the house sale!

Suzy, I hope you are less exhausted today! Teaching all day and babysitting Tahli can be very physically draining!

Theresa, I hope your FIL is accepting the help he needs!

My mind has gone blank and I can't remember anything else I was going to say. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, prayers, positive thoughts, and healing vibes for everyone! Good Night!

Third Time Lucky? Twice before the computer has frozen and I have had to turn it off. Relax over the weekend Suzy. The cold feels much better but I think I have some diviculitis so I am spending the day at the hotel and just having fluids.
Tomorrow we start the official tour and leave here for Gallipoli. I have enjoyed Istanbul, but found it hard to keep the pace Ken was setting.

Please be careful, June. Diverticulitis isn't fun, and you don't need to overdo it. I know. Lousy advice for a vacation/tour.

I got a call from the tire repair man. He's really busy and can't get here until tomorrow, but the tires are in. For some reason, he thought I was bringing the trailer into his shop, even though I told him that it had 2 blowouts on one side and couldn't be moved. He understands now.

IH just left for the day ..... to the plant..... even though it's closed and empty, and the bank supposedly owns it. I know he isn't telling me the truth somewhere in that story.

The little boarder is finally starting to understand about housebreaking. It's strange having her here, since her personality is so un-collie. She's very hyper in comparison to the collies, And she's fallen in love with the pond. She dives in many times a day, then runs inside to play. Then back to the pond.

Good morning Everyone.
Seems as if many of us are enjoying some really nice weather ...here the nights have been cool, sunny days and mild temps with just enough rain to keep things in balance...can't ask more from the weather
Heidi, your cute avatar scared me when I first saw it...thought the paws were bugs and had to swat at them...lol.
Nothing much going on here, all is well on my end and I'm hoping that Broni and Tricia are feeling better by now. Suzy...hang in there...teaching is tough in more ways than one. Hope you get some nicer kids soon or at the very least, the pranksters will have gotten tired of messing with you.June, I would love to travel in the area you and Ken are seeing, so I am enjoying your reports and will look forward to any pictures you will share. Feel better and hope you are able to enjoy all of the sights and sounds and the experiences that are available without overdoing it
health wise.
Sending positive vibes to all and thoughts and
prayers for your joys to outweigh your challenges, with the strength and courage to deal what ever comes your way. Peace.

Why am I even vaguely nice to IH? On Saturday I let him and his crew use my truck and flatbed trailer to clean up a lot of unwanted brush. Yesterday I didn't use my truck. I went out to start it up a little while ago, to go to the store, and the truck had a dead battery. They hadn't turned the key off all the way. I think this is the 4th or 5th time IH has done this to me. I don't enjoy jump starting my truck whenever I let him use it.

Hello, Friends! Looks like a quiet day on SA.

Suzy, I hope the troublemakers get it out of their system soon! Be sure you get plenty of rest and healthy food to help you deal with their shenanigans.

June, I hope you are soon feeling much better and can enjoy your trip!

Mama, I chuckled at the thought of you swatting at Heidi's active avatar. Heidi, it's very cute - and appropriate!

Heidi, I'm glad the 'boarder' is settling in. When she goes back to her home, she will miss her daily swims. I suspect you're right that something is missing from IIH's explanation of his trip to the plant. Does he really think you 'buy' his stories? And that on top of letting your truck's battery die. If a person can be nominated for sainthood, I think you should be.

No news from MizT today. I hope the rash is improving and the medication causing all her woes will soon be identified.

Must head to bed, as I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open. Sending positive thoughts, healing vibes, prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}} and for everyone!

So tired. I got home from school yesterday so glad it was the weekend only to find that Alie had agreed to a gig that night. Don already had plans to go out with a mate so it was me. Though to be honest I would have gone anyway. While there she was invited to do the folk festival again, on her own this time. And she might have an hour on new years eve too.

The tire repairman was just here. He agreed with me that all 5 tires needed to be replaced, not just the 2 destroyed ones. He picked up all 5 rims with old tires, and took them back to the shop to make sure they sealed correctly with the new tires, before installing them for the Florida trip. He'll have then back here and on the trailer by Tuesday. I won't be leaving before Wednesday anyway, because IH is going out of town Monday and Tuesday. I like to have someone here all the time.

I need to go fire up the tractor now, to pull out and load up the broken cattle scale/ handling chute. It's going up to Indiana to the manufacturer's for repairs, but needs to be loaded onto my 16 ft. flatbed trailer first. It's big, bulky and weighs 1800 lbs. Hence, using the tractor. The front end loader can lift that much.

OH HEIDI, the thoughtless things Gil does do. I see two choices to keep this from happening again. One, do not let him have the truck. Two, always go check the truck once he brings it home. He is like a 2 year old at times, or else he knows better but does this to you intentionally. either way you always have to deal with the problem, cause of course he is never around to correct his mistakes.

Suzy, what Heidi said. Please schedule some rest time for you this weekend! We are glad to see you so active, recovered so from your strokes. We just do not want to see you have another.

YEAH Heidi, your trailer will be ready to roll. Any news from Sere? Is she pregnant yet?

OH, I just saw a vet doing 59 pregnancy tests on Dr Pol, on Nat Geo Wild. they were looking for cows 30 to 90 days preggers, to sell overseas. This vet is said to have done 14,000 pregnancy checks in his practice. It seemed there was no rhyme or reason to this Amish farm operation, they had cows from 'Open' to 9 months pregnant, and everywhere in between. Only found 11 that were within the window they were looking for. I know you have your calves more on a schedule than that. But I saw the cow catcher, and how it takes someone with a good eye to close that just when to capture the cow. Saw two cows get into the chute at once, Vet just checked both of them before letting them out hehehe. I thought of you and your farm watching this segment of that show. I have a better picture of what you do now.

Heidi, doc took me off any medication he thought capable of causing this. I go back to see him in 2 weeks, and if the rash stays gone, and the edema is gone, he will start gradually giving drugs back to me, till we find the one. This is going to take a long time.

I am better today. I got permission to take pain meds every 4 hours through this headache from first BP med we tried, and for the mouth and throat pain. did that yesterday afternoon, three times that close together and got rid of the pain. I slept on and off in the afternoon and early evening, then went to bed at 11 pm and slept till 9 am, best sleep in 3 weeks. I am much better today. Breathing much easier, mouth less sore.

Can't remember if I said, but first bp medication was not friendly, did not play well with my body. My head felt like it would explode, heart racing and pounding, mild tightness of chest. this in the wee hours after I came home from ER having breathing problems. So it is definitely one not to take again! Yesterday the doc left me without BP med, till the other was out of my system. Today started another. Mild to annoying headache is all I have felt so far. BP was down some at 30 minuets after taking it. Pain meds due again in half an hour, maybe it will take care of that headache. I do such 'funny' things with meds.

MizT.... that Amish farm is lazy. They just run the bull with the cows year round, and sell a couple of calves whenever they need the money. They don't try to calve in one tight group, so they have a lot of calves the same size. The more uniform the calf crop is, the more money per pound they command. All good farmers manage a tight calving season because of that.

What a job! The hardest part was getting the exam chute/head catch/scale out of the barn so I could load it onto the trailer. The trusses of that particular barn are low.... only and inch or so above the cab of the tractor.... and IH had all sorts of ropes hanging from them that kept snagging on the tractor. Then, as I was slowly pulling the chute out, I snagged on a low hanging hot wire. It got ugly for a while. But the 3 of us finally got the chute out, loaded onto the trailer, and tied down very securely. A representative from the manufacturer will be going by us on Tuesday or Wednesday, and he's offered to pick it up and take it to indiana. Once it's repaired, one of us (probably me) will have to drive to Indiana and pick it up. It's only about a 1 1/2 hour drive.

Heidi, I am so glad you are OK. That was a big and dangerous job loading that chute. It is a good thing you are so proficient with driving your tractor, and operating all of it's attachments. It is too bad that company does not have roving repair men who could come to you. Be careful on your trip up to pick up the repaired chute, cause you and I both know Gil will disappear just before it is time to go.

I'm baaaack. Turned my internet off until I got my school work done.

Broni, hope you are feeling better. I see you are starting to.

MizT, I'm horrible because I had a giggle about you locking the power arm of your chair up. I didn't giggle about your rash though. It's been a couple of days so I hope things are a little better now - or a lot better!

I watch other people on their tablets and I'm not sure how I feel about them. We have a little one that came with our phone and it works more like a phone than a computer which I'm not really fond of. A proper tablet might be better, but I'm not in the market right now. I have my ereader and my notebook for now.

June, I hope your cold clears quickly. Although constipation is painful and not fun, I think it is better than what people usually get on holidays - the opposite, that is. I hope it is better after a day of rest too. Reading further it gets worse! Sigh. I hope I keep reading and find that fluids helped. No news.. sending thoughts and wishes...

Heidi, I hesitate to say it, but you mentioned Gil had a 'friend' down that way once. I hope I'm wrong.

My health. I'm being careful. There's a nasty tummy bug going around and I stayed away from Dana's for a few days when they had it. Of course I then got covered in Tahli's puke when helping Dana out, but so far so good. I worry because I had a tummy bug before my last stroke.

I have a routine now where I spend Saturday catching up on some stuff around the house and then on Sunday do my school work. I think I'll have to switch it though as I spent half of last night dreaming about classes going to pot because I wasn't prepared.

Good Evening, Everyone!

Suzy, just a friendly reminder that we all want you to take care of yourself. As a Mom, I completely understand setting aside your needs in order to get Alie to her gig and be there as her support! It's wonderful to see her progress!

I'm so glad you're starting to feel better, Broni!

Heidi, I'm glad you're replacing all of the tires on the trailer. Your trip to pick up the horses will be so much safer. Will your friend be able to help with animal feeding during that time? It sounds like a major effort to move the cattle scale/ handling chute out of the barn and onto a flatbed trailer. Hopefully IH was around to help with that.

Rolanda, please say Happy Birthday to Robert!

It has been another quiet day here (SA) today. Not so much at home. The grandpuppy will be spending the week with us, so we have a fairly early morning tomorrow to meet halfway for the exchange. I'm off to bed, so here is the daily dose of healing vibes, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts, prayers and . Please use them as you see fit.

Well, the second new BP med is better than the first one was. I have an annoying headache, occasionally it gets to an ouch. I am taking the med with breakfast and dinner, must be with food. I time pain meds and meals together to help with the headache. It is working. How well I feel varies throughout the day. Parts of it I want my bed or recliner, the other, I want to get out and find people! I went downstairs yesterday and ran into a couple of groups sitting chatting. Got about an hour of people fix before I tired.

I was wheeling across the parking lot, going to check on the progress of work in the alley. In case I have not said, the city government is installing new storm drains to try to help with water entering basement of the theater next door, and first floor of our building. I heard someone calling out to me, turned around, it was Warner asking if I was running away hehehe. Lately he always greets me if we are within shouting distance of each other. We had a nice little chat on the main entrance drive. He had heard that I have been sick and was sincerely asking how I was doing now. Nice man.

Suzy, thank you for not laughing about my rash. I am happy to say rash #1 is much improved. No itching, only faint red spots across chest and belly. Can't say about back, can't see it! Red spots do not show up in mirror.

The yeast infections and thrush are also much improved. Tongue no longer feels burned, only tiny scratchy throat. Yeast rash in lower regions is slower to clear. I have been wearing dresses or skirts, going commando to air the rash. Hopefully it will clear soon.

I had to wash out dresses by hand, only have 3 that can go in public, plus one skirt. I just ordered another skirt, hope it arrives early this week. A skirt is more versatile, does not always look the same just by changing what blouse or to you wear. Wash by hand was easier than 2 hours in the laundry room. I put them on coat rack, hang on shower curtain rod, and set my big box fan to blow on them to get them dry.

USA friends, I love a new website I found, for great bargains, if they have what you are looking for. I got my scarves, my tablet, have ordered Joy's birthday present there, and now my skirt. Really got good deals on everything I ordered. I am not sure if they ship overseas or not, but the rest of you might ask. nomorerack.com but be sure you have your will power fore you go. You will be tempted. I can't go back till next payday hehehe. BTW, shipping is $2 per item, no matter if large, like the comforter set I bought Joy, no wait, I got free shipping that day!

It really sounds like you were having multiple bad reactions to medications, MizT. Some may have been allergic reactions, and some may have been bad interactions of medications. You've got a bright doctor. You don't need a ''cure'' which is worse than the disease.

Yes, IH helped with the chute moving. My ankle is still very painful, so climbing in and out of the tractor is hard. So while I did all the tractor work, IH and our great neighbor George positioned chains, freed ropes tangled on the cab and directed minute positioning of the chute as I worked it out of the barn and over to the trailer. Then came the fun part, where IH tried to back the trailer into position. If George hadn't been there to give him careful instructions, it wouldn't have gotten done. He stinks at backing trailers. Once George and I positioned the scale on the trailer so there was equal weight on all 4 tires, then George and I secured it down with chains, straps and ratchets. IH tried to help with that, but doesn't do a very good job. His favorite word is ''adequate'', a word I despise. He always tries to do the bare minimum with anything. I believe in overkill and striving for perfection in even the tiniest chore. If you're going to do something, you do it right the first time. The second time you have to do the same thing, it's usually a much bigger job.

Tonight there was almost a traffic jam on the bridge on second floor, that connects the two buildings here at EP. Three power chairs trying to pass. One was Donnie, a severely handicapped young man, who has cerebral palsy. He speaks through his computer on board, and he spends good days down at Five Points, a local area of restaurants and shops, selling candy. He is known locally as 'the candy man'. He just smiled when I called his name. He was taking more than his share of the roadway, and had to stop and pull aside for me to pass. Behind him was a woman I do not know. she is the one who went to Shannon, our services coordinator, asking how she could get a cane holder for her power chair, cause I had one hehehe. I just took advantage of the design of my back cushion, how it straps onto the frame, leaves a place I can slide my cane into. My chair is very different from hers. I think she saw that tonight, I hope so. Some of these residents are so childish, acting like 3 year olds. 'she got one and I didn't' mentality always.

another resident embarrassed Shannon when resident went to a guest speaker to ask if she could swap her prize, a lint remover, for a T shirt. the speaker had brought about 3 t shirts as prizes, and this resident thought those were much better than the other prizes (we were playing medical trivia, and every person got some prize) Again, 'what she got is better than mine'. I do not understand it.

Said resident gave me the lint roller. I used it tonight, to get lint off a quilted wall hanging I am putting in the residents' art show. Show will be next week, hope I can get my camera on tablet working by then.

I need a new dermatologist, one up here. I just saw mine for screening 2 weeks ago. I asked about a spot on my back. He said it was a cyst, and he would just leave it alone. Last too days it has been painful. I looked tonight, it is inflamed and swollen. someone needs to look at that soon. I am putting antibiotic cream on it for now.

best post fore this gets too long. Hugs.

Hi everyone!
Mum's house is sold. She signed the contract on Saturday afternoon - just less than a week since the house first went on the market. The buyer offered a 21 days settlement but will allow her to stay in the house for another 8 weeks at no cost. Wow, that is unheard of..... I was totally gobsmacked. Talk about lovely people. I'll be meeting them later in the week to talk about what furniture they want to buy. The more they want the less we have to deal with.
I also heard from the retirement village and we need to sign the contract for her unit. She got it at a reduced price. The gods are really on her side regarding this move.
She's still in hospital having tests....nothing conclusive but lot's of nasty things have been ruled out.
I didn't tell you that MIL had a fall last Wednesday and ended up in a different hospital to Mum. You'd think they could organise it better than that. MIL has a large purple bruise across her back and needs assistance with lots more than usual. We are trying but of course we are falling short of her expectations.
I'll go back and visit my mum tonight as I didn't visit yesterday - I called her though.
#2 son's birthday tomorrow and I haven't even bought him a card. I don't know what to get him but Kevin said he would buy him a brick saw. We can't even go out to our chosen restaurant for dinner as they are closed. Poor James, nothing is going right for his 24th birthday.

Good Evening, Everyone!

Broni and Suzy, I hope you are both feeling better!

MizT, I'm so glad the new BP medicine is better than the previous one. Hopefully your rashes will soon disappear! I had heard of nomorerack.com, but didn't know anyone who had used it and have not yet checked it out. I'm glad you have found items you are looking for at reasonable prices!

Heidi, I'm so glad you had some help with getting the scale/chute out of the barn and onto the trailer. Somehow 'adequate' sounds like a word IH might like. Maybe you should consider making adequate meals. I hope your ankle is feeling better, and really hope that your back has not been aggravated by all of the work you have been doing.

Hi, Nola! I hope work is going well for you! It's good to hear that painting is nearing completion. Will it be a problem if all of the work can't be completed by the end of October?

Vicki, what great news that your Mum's house has been sold and with a flexible move-out date! Also great that your Mum can get into the retirement village at a good price. So sorry that your MIL fell and is in a different hospital - kind of complicates things for you. Happy Birthday to your son. Maybe you can find a different restaurant to celebrate his birthday, one that he likes as well as the previous favorite - or even better.

Bed is calling, so i bid you all good night. {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, positive thoughts, prayers, healing vibes and for everyone!
