Poor poor a Gizmo. He's gone in today to be snipped. Bad enough, but the poor fella has extra canines. They should have fallen out on their own, but didn't. He's going to be hurting both ends tonight. Oh well, at least my shoes are safe for one night.

Suzy my ex BIL now lives in Texas - he is British so his accent is now Brit/Aussie/Tex - unusual but I think the American accent is taking over. He comes out to visit every 2 years. Heidi - no wonder your back is hurting - you do far too much. Listen to your body and take it easier. Bye for now - will come back tomorrow.

Midge, my kids were born in California. We moved back here when they were 4 and 7. They are still picked as American. Hubby on the other hand, California born and bred, is asked if he's Irish.

Another day of long hours of sleeping.
We're having a nasty thunderstorm right now. It's only supposed to last a bit over 2 hours, fortunately.

Greeting and good wishes to all!

DOrA, very funny (and much of it true) about Suttheners.

Heidi, I was cheering that IH would be gone until Friday, and now see he will be home tomorrow. So sorry. Just ignore and get the sleep you need.

Suzy, too true about Millennials. Each generation must deal with the succeeding one.

Midge, it would be interesting to hear your former BIL and his current accent. Of course, I don't think I have one, but I'm sure others would disagree.

Time to head to bed. Sending prayers, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, , positive thoughts, and healing energy for everyone!

You know that sad, empty feeling when your kids leave home and don't need you anymore? I want that! At least for a little while. One day? Is that too much to ask?

A little risky (Risqué) But, it is recycled from the easy page, six years ago. Thx, Daplap

A loving couple was celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, privately, at home with a couple of bottles of champagne. A bit tipsy and feeling very intimate the husband turns to his wife and asks, 'Tell me truthfully, have you ever been unfaithful to me?'

'Well,' she replied, 'since you ask, to tell you the truth I have been unfaithful on three occasions.'

'What? How could you?'

'Let me tell you about it,' she said. 'The first time was back when we were first married. You needed open heart surgery and we didn't have the money, so I went to bed with the surgeon and got him to operate for free.'

'Gee! That was noble of you. And, besides, I guess I should be grateful. But, tell me, what about the second time?'

'Do you remember that VP of Sales promotion you desperately wanted, and they were going to pass you over for someone else? Well, I went to bed with the President and he gave you the job.'

'Hell, I think I could have done it on my own. But, then again, I guess I should be grateful. And so, what about the third time?'

'Do you remember two years ago when you wanted to become president of the Golf Club, and you were missing 53 votes...'

DORA, loved your southern jokes. Some of those I have actually heard hehehe.

SUZY, I know your feeling the need to have some ME time now. I was never sad that my girls were up and out on their own. I had done my job, time for next part of my life. Now that Tanya has moved back to town, I some days join you in wishing for a day just to myself, without being needed.

Heidi, I do not think I have ever slept 24 hours, that is a true accomplishment! I wonder what is causing your sleepiness? Not fair Gil came home early, I know you enjoy your alone time, too.

Julie, about accents, think we all think we do not have one. But southerners are always asking me where I am from, and think my accent is northern. Northerners think I am from the south. Even as a child. I guess I am just me.

Continuing saga of the meds. No problem with first dose of the injectable drug. It was a brand name medication, with a great delivery system. Injected the second Tuesday, mid day, and by bedtime I had a rash. Treated with steroid/anti-fungal cream I had on hand. Wednesday morning, rash in new places and one mouth ulcer. Treated those and started Claratin and Benadryl. By this morning, I had the second mouth ulcer (both 'call your doctor if' symptoms) Called first office was opened, stayed by phone for return call, all day. got call at 4:45. Stop the medicine (DUH) and continue what I was doing. Add one more folinic plus (vitamin). I hope we have not run out of drugs we can try. Hope it is just a break from meds for a while. So I am falling asleep sleepy from the multiple doses of benadryl, and taking only baby doses. Hope I can keep ahead of the rash, old ones clear, new ones pop up. Bummer.

A good thing, we are getting rain. I am not having to water, except the 2 pair of under cover containers. I do have to go our after our t storms and set the top heavy container of asiatic lilies upright again. HUGE buds, now showing color. I need to find some way to assist it to stay upright.

I dug out the last of the pansies, the ones in ground at the alley, back last Saturday. Ground was so dry, I had to water the area again, which is a pain since no hose bib (faucet) nearby. Garden hose up and over the 8 foot wall around back garden . Sunday purchased some bright yellow mounding zinnia and some Purple Veronica to plant, but so far have not got them in ground. Humidity and 'feels like' temp (DORA another thing southerners understand) is over the century mark. With the meds now, not alert enough early morning to do this. Soon I hope.

Hugs to each of you, till next time.

My day to do a dozen things on my list. I got fuel so one thing off. Then I drove Dana and the kids to pick up a cat. Then I dove them to an appointment for tahli. Now we're at maccas because it was on the way home and we were all starving. Still only one thing off my list. Some entertainment though. Tahli got the bottom of her pants wet so stripped them off. She's currently running around the play area in her undies while her mother chases her trying to get the pants back on her.

Hi, Everyone!

Suzy, What a busy day, but not getting done what was on YOUR to-do list. At least Tahli provided some entertainment!

MizT, your wandering rashes do NOT sound like fun. If only doctors could find a medication that would work well for you on a consistent basis! It must be very frustrating. I hope you're able to plant the new yellow mounding zinnia and purple Veronica soon.

Heidi, I think you should just pretend that Gil isn't there and do what you would have done if he hadn't returned home early, probably getting some more sleep.

DOrA, I had not heard that 'risky' story before. Just 53 votes - what a thoughtful wife . . .

I'm about to head to bed. I haven't been sleeping well and hope to do better tonight. At least I'll be in bed longer, even if I don't sleep.

Sending positive thoughts, , healing energy, prayers, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for each of you!

MizT, itchy rashes are the pits. Hope that you can get them cleared away soon and get some medication without side effects. My medication seems to give me heart burn during the night. I have taken an antacid but so far it is not working. Hope you are feeling much better for your birthday.
Heidi, sorry that your sleep time was cut short. I guess you need to be alert when Gil is at home.
Love all your jokes DoA, although I have heard many of them before.
Suzy, take some time for yourself. You need to take care of yourself.
Julie, I do hope that you can get a long and restful nights sleep.

Thank you for the birthday wishes and mentions, Suzy, DORA, Heidi, June and Julie. I love having a 2 day birthday on here. I get to have at least 3 days, maybe four, since our EP birthday party for June babies has never been on my actual birth date. Sister who is out of town now mentioned a birthday lunch when she returns, probably will be Monday or Wednesday. Not sure what the girls are doing, earlier there was mention of a lunch here tomorrow, but I think that has slipped Tanya's mind, and she never reminded her sister it is my birthday.

I bought myself a couple of BD presents, did I tell you about the elephant pendant, made from the tines area of a silver fork? Found it last week on the EP trip to Pepper Place. along with farmers market, many other vendors of locally made craft items. then I ordered myself a nice wooden file cabinet, with at least one locking drawer, I forgot it all lock. bottom is file sized, top 2 are smaller and will use the locking one for medications that should be under lock and key. It came in today, just in time.

Rash is not so itchy now, clearing faster than new ones breaking out. Benadryl makes me soooo sleepy, and too uncoordinated to drive my car. Still managing to drive my power chair.

Suzi, such a cute story about T and the wet pants. I can see her being chased around the play ground hehehe. I am sure she did not like the feel of the wet, Awsome children react to how things feel so much more than other children.

Julie, yes, I did get the veronica and zinnias planted. Well one of the residents, Sonny and I did. It was so hot, I knew I could not stay out long enough to do it without help. I hope tomorrow to get out and put mulch around them.

Today's feels like temp was 105, until a t storm came through. some hail here, not as big as in some areas, but I could hear it on patio roof. Yes, I went down to sit out on covered patio and watch, feel the rain. Temp dropped to actual and feels like 73, a BIG drop and so nice.

Awww... We have Tahli and Izzy overnight. They were both distressed at bedtime so sang them the song I used to sing their mother. I've never had the best singing voice, barely suitable for a lullaby, and since my strokes it's been even worse. But Tahli looked at me and said, aw grandma that was bootiful. Made me a little teary.

Gekko my friends.
Cannot believe I have been away for so long. All is good or getting there.
Lots of running Pete around to doctors and hospital appointments for his health and disability pension. He finally has his drivers licence back so have been catching up on my own health issues, nothing major just high blood pressure and cholesterol, now a visit to the dentist. Also doing the bookwork for AA and my friend so at least a few dollars are coming in.
We have been away a few times but have been based in Brissy. Hopefully will be heading up FNQ (Far North Queensland) within a few weeks.
Hope you are all well and happy.

Good Evening, Fellow Sudokuaholics!

Suzy, that was so sweet! Thanks for sharing!

Broni, it's so good to 'see' you again. Sounds like you have been busy. Hopefully Pete is doing well, and you confirm that your health is good when you get everything checked out. Also hope Bella is well. Enjoy your times away and your times staying put. The door's always open here, so pop in when you can, please!

Funny one, DOrA! (I almost thought it was for real at first.)

Heidi, I hope you are feeling reasonably well and are getting the rest you need!

Greetings friends, Yesterday for my birthday, Mother Nature gave us the best day we have had in several weeks. It was a bit cloudy, but humidity was low so no feels like temps. Actual temps never made it to 80*F (26C) After feels like temps of 107 ( 41) the day before! Late afternoon, some of my friends and I gathered on the patio for a chat and a soft drink, nice peaceful way to celebrate my birthday!

Tanya came over, brought take away for lunch, I had not had a hamburger in forever. Gave me a nice HUGE soup pot, (it i nicer than mine is, she said). Phone calls from both the other girls, and a promise from Joy to stop by within the week with hanging files for my new file cabinet, and to remove the set of drawers (plastic temporary ones that stayed here 4 years hehehe) . They will work nicely for storage in her garage. Also promised lunch out for the 3 of us, 'when things settle down some'. She is changing jobs, Friday was last day with one, Monday will be first day with the new. Since she works from home, a lot of swaping equipment, getting a new computer set up and then, her internet and home phone goes out!

Tanya helped me bring that file cabinet up from where packages/mail is left here at EP. It somehow got stuck in the grocery cart we used to transport it, we had to upend the trolley to get it out. Cleaned out the remaining things in the old drawers. Now I have a place for all the papers I must save from year to year, and two smaller drawers, plus a stand for the printer. One of the smaller drawers for my medication, and it locks. I am happy with this gift to myself for birthday :).

Rash is much better, just a few new places popping up today, old ones have cleared, yeah.

I will try to get back later, but it is time for lunch now. hugs to each of you, with extras.
