Good news today! Tahli has been officially diagnosed! There are 3 levels of support available and she is level 2. This is awesome because the more support she gets now, the better things will be later!
Enjoy the casino Midge! I was going to say I'd never been to an Australian casino, but I went once on a business trip to Tasmania when I was 22. Nearly forgot.

Hi, Everyone!
Wonderful TOPP, Suzy, and also the 'TOPP+1'
Had an exhausting day today: mammogram and 1 doctor appointment at one location, 1 doctor appointment at another location, hubby's 4th post-op (complicated cataract surgery) appt. at another location, and meeting from about 6:45 until 9:30. I had to do all the driving, in spite of the fact that I usually fall asleep while driving, as he had one eye patched. Over 100 miles of driving! (And he's not a good passenger.)
{{{{{HUGS}}}}} to Everyone, and positive thoughts, healing energy,
, and prayers! I'm off to bed!

Julie, lovely to see a nice long post from you. It sounds as if you enjoyed the reumion back in your home town. How sad that your friend and teacher has passed away. the concert celebrating her life seem most appropriate. I know you will miss her.
Heidi, very good news that there is a medication for your chronic fatigue. Sending hopes and wishes it works and works quickly for you.
Yes, JUNE, did the injection to thumb bring you some relief? I certainly do hope so!
Hello to you , Midge. I also hope you enjoy your voucher and can get a nice trip to Tasmania soon.
Time to turn the page, will post this before I do. Hugs to each of you, with extras.

Suzy, wonderful news about T's diagnosis and her getting the support she needs. Keep us informed how that goes, please.
JULIE, that was an exhausting day for you, I am tired just reading it! I hope you get some much needed rest today.
This afternoon will be the June Birthday party here at EP. Not sure why it is at 5 pm, unusual time.
Yesterday was so much cooler than it has been. I did a lot of deadheading of the daisies, tied up the lilies, they did NOT tip over in the last wind, after I put in bamboo stakes to brace them, but the wind had some stems falling over. The homestead verbena is not bouncing back even though I did the cut back and fertilize as recommended. The new mounding yellow zinnias seem to be growing nicely. Only the containers under cover needed watering the last few days, the rain was beneficial. I did get a new hanger on the hanging pot that fell, plastic fatigue the cause. The hook just stretched and no longer could hold the weight of it. Replacement hanger is not as pretty, made from coat hangers, but it is sturdy
.
Time to start my day, need coffee. Might get dressed and take it to the patio this morning, if we still have some cooler weather.
Hugs, again.

And today's 'no risk' offering. Well, maybe a little...
A blonde lady motorist was about two hours from San Diego when she was flagged down by a man whose truck had broken down……
The man walked up to the car and asked, 'Are you going to San Diego?'
'Sure,' answered the blonde, 'do you need a lift?'
'Not for me. I'll be spending the next three hours fixing my truck. My problem is I've got two chimpanzees in the back that have to be taken to
the San Diego Zoo. They're a bit stressed already, so I don't want to keep them on the road all day. Could you possibly take them to the zoo
for me? I'll give you $100 for your trouble.”
'I'd be happy to.' said the blonde.
So the two chimpanzees were ushered into the back seat of the blonde's car and carefully strapped into their seat belts, and off they went.
Five hours later, the truck driver was driving through the heart of San Diego when suddenly he was horrified! There was the blonde walking down
the street, holding hands with the two chimps, much to the amusement of a big crowd. With a screech of brakes he pulled off the road and ran
over to the blonde.
'What are you doing here?' he demanded, 'I gave you $100 to take these chimpanzees to the zoo!'
'Yes, I know you did,' said the blonde, 'but we had money left over so now we're going to Sea World.'

Julie, big day! I hope today is quieter. Is that a word?
MizT, coffee on the patio sounds like a wonderful way to start the day!
DorA, I should take offence since I'm blonde, but my girls have dark brown hair so nobody believes I'm a natural blonde anyway so I'll pretend I dye my hair today.
Birthday dinner here last night. A house full as Alie's bf drove down to be here for it and we had Dana and her 3 too. Poor bf had over an hours drive each way.

Suzy, I'm glad Tahli will be eligible for some services! Happy Birthday to Alie! Was this the first time he BF met all the family?
Heidi, I hope you're getting lots of rest today!
June, I hope your thumb is improving!
MizT, you certainly got a lot of work done with all the flowers! I'm glad some of the rain reduced the need for you to do some watering!

Lovely June Birthday party yesterday. Really good food, and enough to be my dinner, so no preparing dinner last night! We had some of the cast of the current play at the theater next door, Damn Yankee. Lots of good songs from that musical. We are so fortunate to have a 'connection' in that group, our activities director in in this play and many others throughout the year.
Scrabble was fun, too, I think I was second both games. Had my weekly chocolate fix, too, yummy dark chocolate covered almonds.
A crew has been here 2 days, working to repair the AC unit that cools the public areas, hall, elevator lobby, bathrooms and office in our building. I hope they get it repaired today.
Temps are a bit lower but humidity is MUCH lower, can stand the temps when the humidity is lower. the dew point has been mid 70's, always miserable when above 70, is now back down to mid 60's, much better. Staff also turned on the huge outdoor fan that is on the back patio. It is a bit noisy but keeps the air circulating, and blows the mosquitoes away.
DORA, I was once a blond, now almost totally white, but was never a ditzy blond. Joke gave me a chuckle.
Happy belated birthday to Allie. Her BF made points, doing the long drive to be there for the celebration!

Sorry that I had not updated on my thumb. I have not bowled since it was done as last Tuesday I had a 9 AM dental appointment. I could have started late but it was too cold to be outside.
It does feel a lot better but I still get some twinges at times. Dr. said it could take two injections for best improvement but it threw my sugar out so I do not think that is an option. I was pretty good at Belinda's party last week and then we had dinner with a neighbour and she cooked a lovely baked dinner but my serving was twice as much as I would normally eat. That was Monday night and my sugar has been too high since then. I am getting a lot of indigestion at night and not sleeping very well. Otherwise I am doing very well and the weight is still dropping. I feel really good in the daytime and have started doing some of the walking the Dr. said I have to do.

Julie, so sorry about your music teacher and friend. I know it was expected but still very sad when it happens. I am sure it will be a wonderful tribute at the music camp.
Suzy, pleased that you have the diagnosis for Tahli I do hope the help and treatment will be beneficial for her.
Heidi, I hope the medication works for you. It must be hard needing to sleep all the time when you have such a busy life on the farm. I also hope the last epidural was a doozy!
Tricia, I could do with you doing some gardening at my place. I am never sure if I should be trying to sort and get rid of things in the house or be doing some work in the garden. I do have a lovely lot of camellias out in flower at the moment.

Treated myself to a new computer chair today. Council clean-up next week so I can get rid of the old one. It was an old heavy chair that came from Ken's work before he left 20 years ago!
And a Christmas in July dinner at the bowling club tonight. It is so we can eat the traditional hot food you Northerners normally have at Christmas time.

posting without reading, this morning.
Heidi, hope you are recovered from the epidural, and having much betyter days with no back pain. Did you get the medication that will cure the chronic fatigue? Is it working?
MUCH less humidity, came in from early morning watering of flowers, and was wet from spilled water, not from the humidity. Found 2 lilies coming up in the daisies, one is in bloom, one in bud. these bulbs went into the ground 2 years ago, did not make an appearance last year. the daisies spread into the area, so now the pretty pink Asiatic lilies are in the middle of the daisies. The mounding yellow Zinnias (look more like a yellow daisy) are looking perky. The new Veronica is still a bit droopy. there are new leaves coming out on the Hydrangea bush we transplanted this spring, that is a good sign. the mint needed deadheading, do not want that to bloom yet. Brought in a few twigs to make mint iced tea, yummy.
Lets see if this goes through in a timely fashion, then perhaps I can read if there are new posts. Hugs to each of you. with extras.

I have not gotten the medication yet. The back has been very fragile feeling, so I have not felt up to driving to the pharmacy. Maybe tomorrow.
My mower won't be ready to come home until Tuesday, one day short of 4 weeks. They THINK they've fixed the problem with the belts (fingers crosses) but they had to order a replacement tire and thatwon't come in until Tuesday, thanks to the holiday weekend.
Gil announced last night that he's going up to Wisconsin tomorrow to visit his father and brother again. His father is going to be the grand marshall in a 4th of July parade. So HE won't be back here before Tuesday, either.

Anecdote: Isobel was throwing a tantrum, threw herself down crying. She got up to walk to her mum, but kept her eyes closed to show she really meant the tears, and staggered over two feet to the right of where Dana was actually sitting. Dana caught her before she ran into the table. Tears of laughter!

Your candidates can't be as bad as Hillary. Trump may 'run his mouth', but she lies, then says 'what difference does it make, let's move on'... We don't have much of a choice, this time.

About to head to bed as we have a very long day tomorrow, with quite a bit of driving. There will be a service in the afternoon and the planned 'Festival' concert in the evening. And I don't have anything to wear that has pockets for tissues. Someone should invent a cello with pockets!

We went to the markets today to look for dog coats and were surprised to find a classic car thing to look at, including a very impressive Lamborghini. That was my favourite, but I think hubby liked the mustangs. Probably because he had one when he was in high school.

I picked up the meds today for the chronic fatigue. The Doc said it will take a few weeks before I start seeing any change so I need to be patient. I'm delighted that there is hope that I won't have to live with this for the rest of my life.

Heidi, good luck with the new meds for the chronic fatigue. I do hope you begin to see improvement soon.
Suzy, the classic car viewing was a nice surprise to find. Mustangs were very prized possessions of the young men here, for several years. I am sure they brought back good memories for your husband. I never tucked a hankie or tissue into my sleeve, but if no pocket would slip it into my bra, if my husband was not with me. He always had pockets for things I did not, a hankie, my lipstick.
Julie, I hope the service and the concert went smoothly. I imagine it was very touching. At the chapel where I attended the last funeral, they had boxes of tissues about, even on the pews. Everyone was within reach of a tissue there.
Suzy, I saw on FB some of the ballots, and how people wrote in or drew on them, and even how one official said they WOULD be counted (if properly marked) no matter what else was drawn on them. that seemed to be a challenge for some voters!
Well, my soup for dinner is ready. I made a huge pot of soup a couple of days ago, froze half, and am eating from the other half now. It is so easy to have a meal, full of every imaginable low carb vegetable, ready so quickly.
Hugs to each of you, with extras.

MizT, the voting method changed a little from last time so some people probably messed it up anyway. With 2 weak choices it was always going to be a bad one. Unfortunately to avoid the major parties people have voted for some independents that are going to make life hard. One is a woman who is trump without a brain. She is already calling for a royal commission on the climate change lie and Islam. With neither party having enough reps to form leadership they might have to do deals with her. Shuddering here.
Heidi, hope the new meds work! Enjoy your extra night Gil free.
