Not sure how Nola coped with cyclone Debbie. I could see the flood level in Bundaberg as 3.5 Metres. That big flood in '13 was over 9 metres. I do hope every thing is OK for them

Oops... June posted while I was typing.I type slow.

I'm still VERY sleepy, and I need to go out and tag 2 new calves. I won't know until I tag them what sex they are.

Hello, Friends!

Thanks for checking in MizT! All of your gardening has taken up much of your time. Thanks for letting us know how it's going.

June, I appreciate your mentioning Nola and what Cyclone Debbie may have presented to her area. You would think that by now, I would have a fairly decent idea of where our Sudoku friends are located, but I admit to a lack of knowledge in that regard.

Nola, if you should drop by, we care about you and hope you and yours are all well!

Heidi, thank you for your TOPP! June obviously had a head-start on her typing! Your sleepiness is definitely letting you know that your body still has a big need to be filled. I suspect that mental and emotional exhaustion are combined with physical exhaustion. I hope the new calves are both healthy!

Semding healing energy, positive vibes, , prayers, and {{{{{HUGS}}}}} for all!

Hi, Fellow Sudokuaholics!

Heidi, the good news is that the calves are healthy! Unfortunately, they're quicker than you are. You'll catch them, though; of that I'm pretty sure! I hope you're feeling better!

Suzy, thanks for letting us know you heard from Nola! That's very reassuring.

Hi, Broni! How sweet of you to be thinking of all of us! How are you and Pete doing?

Sending lots of and {{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}, healing energy, prayers, and positive vibes with plenty to go around! Feel free to share!

Hubby's cremation has been paid for, by the people he worked with. I have mixed feelings about this. Once he is cremated, all of this is real and I have to go on living without him.

Hey Zusy, that's what Don would want you to do, find some joy in each day. Your girls and the grandkids.
Hi Julie, I am OK missing Bella a lot. Have been taking Pete to lots of doctors appointments and his back is getting worse, will see his specialist later this month.
When do you get a rest Julie?

We have a vicious line of storms coming thru'. We're under tornado watch for 4 more hours, and tornados have been seen in the area. I heard that one trailer park in Elizabethtown (northwest of me) has been decimated. Debbie's son saw trailers knocked over and wrecked.

Hi, All!

Suzy, I think Broni is right. Don would want you to go on with your life, enjoy your girls and grandies, family and friends. Try to find some joy in each day. Many aspects of your life will be different, but much will remain the same.

Heidi, YAY for you! You were able to catch the new little heifers! Calving must be nearly finished! What are your totals so far?

Broni, I'm sorry to hear that Pete's back is getting worse. We have so many friends (hubby included) with bad backs I guess it's the price we pay for walking upright. I hope Pete is able to get some relief from his appointments, especially with his specialist! Still thinking of you both.

Heidi, I hope you and your animals will all be safe in spite of the horrible weather headed your way! Will it also head toward MizT? 'Batten down the hatches' and stay safe!

Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers and sending {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, , healing energy, and positive vibes!

MizT would have been hit by the storms first, Julie. I don't have her new cell number to call her, tho' she promised to give it to me.
The storms have passed. Horrific wind and rain, and LOTS of large hail. Hail usually proceeds a tornado, so I'm glad I didn't see or hear one. The tornado watch has ended, so I'm about to go to bed early.

A friend took me out for lunch today. I drove Alie to the station, then dropped in on a friend who had a growth removed from her leg a couple of days ago.

The cremation is scheduled for tomorrow.

Yes, the way the weather blows here, I get the storms usually before Heidi. We missed the tornadoes, and the hail here in my neighborhood, but saw lots of report of tennis ball sized hail further east of us. The possibility for really long track strong tornadoes was so high, that many school systems did not have school Wednesday. Other businesses did not open. Now that the tornadoes were a no show here, I fear people will not listen next time there is that great a potential for severe weather.

I had a doctor's appointment that day, the first wave of storms had passed before daylight, the second wave was not due in till early evening, so I kept my appointment. Did not even get rained on, good timing.

Rheumatologist is trying yet another new med for me, something that should act like steroids on the inflammation, ( I get really good relief when I take steroids)but without the problems of long term steroids. I am taking another med, and have been for months, that is supposed to decrease the side effects of this new med. Started Wednesday when I got home. Friday night I slept 7 hours straight, it has been forever since I have done that! I was so confused when I woke and it was daylight! I had also been 9 hours without pain medication, also unheard of for ages and ages.

Friday we had a craft time downstairs, and decorated hats to wear to the Easter Party next Tuesday. I had fun making mine, then another resident saw me outside with my hat, and was so upset she would not get to decorate a hat, she was on her way to doc appointment. So, I got my first hat commission hehehe, she accepted my offer to go back and make her one. I left it hanging on her door, I hope she liked it.

After our storms, that were caused by a cold front colliding with warm moist air in place, we were forecast frost for 'low lying areas' for two nights. We stayed just warm enough to dodge the frost. A good thing cause I did not cover plants. I still have ferns inside, and a freesia that has blooned inside all winter. I think next week then can go outside. I must get a new garden hose. Ours had developed a leak. I bought a hose repair kit, maintenance man supposedly repaired it, but it sprays water everywhere, the repair did not work. bummer.

I need to be in kitchen cooking, I have eaten all the planned overs from fridge. I do have sliced roast pork loin in the freezer, and some ham, but no veg. I thought about making a veg slice thingy, we will see how the energy goes.

Sending special hugs to Suzy and to June, and anyone else who is in need. Plenty of extras for everyone, till next time.

, Everybody!

June, thinking of you and hoping all is going well and without any difficulties!

Suzy, thinking of you and the difficult day you probably had. Hoping the weekend will be a bit easier and hoping you and the girls and grandies have some enjoyable time in the days ahead!

Broni, keeping you and Pete in our thoughts!

Heidi, enjoy the concert with friends! How nice that the last few cows appear to be waiting so you can go and enjoy time with friends!

MizT, I'm glad your doctor appointment was timed between nasty weather outbreaks. What a relief it must be to get 7 hours of sleep without interruption and some time without pain meds. It sounds like the rheumatologist is finding some meds that work for you! Hip Hip Hooray!

Will you be sharing a photo of the hat you decorated for Easter? I hope your friend likes the one you made for her!

Here's hoping a new garden hose will do the trick and there will be no more leaks!

Please let us know how the veggie slice works out. Did you have a recipe, or invent it?

Thinking of Nola, Midge, and others we don't get to see on a regular basis.

It's time to call it a night here. Sending an adequate supply of positive vibes, healing energy, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, prayers, and for all!

It's just after 1 am, and I'm home from the concert. This was fantastic therapy for me. I had a wonderful time the whole evening.
If course, Gil called me and told me he wanted in the house to remove some furniture. I told him that I wasn't home so he wasn't allowed inside. I think he watches for me to leave before telling me he wants to pick up stuff, so it looks like I'm not cooperating and letting him have his things. I've heard that he has been telling people that I'm making things difficult by drawing out the divorce process. All part of his plan to make me look like the bad guy.

Heidi, I am sure people know better than that, otherwise you would not have been told. If he wants to collect stuff tell him you want the request in writing and reply the same way. Maybe even have a witness with you. That will slow down his stories.
It has been a beautiful sunny weekend and I have felt really well. Not looking forward to the next treatment tomorrow morning.
We are about to get a storm so I had better go and get dinner organised.
Love and Hugs to you all.

Hi, Everyone!

Heidi, I'm glad you enjoyed the concert and time with friends! Too bad Gil continues to try to have a negative impact on your life! June has a great idea to document his requests, including the day and time received! That might help show how unreasonable he is.

Heidi, I hope the epidurall is a 'hum-dinger!'

June, I am SO glad you have felt well over the weekend and hopefully enjoyed yourself. Keeping you in my thoughts for the treatment in the morning!

I have on my leather gloves I bought in Prague years ago and using a pen to touch the keyboard. Even room temp is too sensitive for me. I had an incident at the hospital when they came with lunch and I said the sandwiches looked nice. a bit later my hands locked up. my face felt peculiar and have you ever tried saying 'I feel funny' when your mouth does not work. turns out the sandwiches had been in the fridge.
I have been sick a few times but that will pass. I also now have Laura as it is school holidays.

I think one of the reasons that Gil didn't object to driving me to the hospital before is that his ''girlfriend'' lived near the hospital. I suspect that while I was having my epidurals, he was visiting her. He always ''ran errands'' while I was getting the procedure.

This was another lulu. I am sore and heading to bed.

Greetings to All from Illinois, USA!

What a crazy day (weather) today! Temperature got up to 70+ *F before dropping into mid-30 degrees. Along with the cooler temperatures came heavy rain and hail (a bit larger than peas). It is a bit warmer now, and most of the hail has melted. Temperatures have varied so widely in the past month that I'm wondering what our flowering bushes and trees will look like in the next week or two.

June, I know you told us that cold would have a large impact on you, but I had no idea how much! WOW! Just time spent in the refrigerator made the sandwich have a huge effect on you! I hope you are feeling better now! Thinking of you and sending WARM thoughts!

Tricia, when is your holiday hat parade! I hope your friend liked the chapeau you made for her!

Heidi, hurray for a horrible epidural! And hooray if you can spend a few days without hearing from Gil. He knows you need quiet time and rest after an epidural. If he bothers you and demands access to the things he has left in the house, you should document his insensitivity in case you ever need ammunition against his moral character.

Heidi, we're looking forward to the arrival of your goslings and the approval of smilies for them!

It's time to hit the hay. There's too much going on in our lives and not enough time to prepare for everything. Sleeping sounds like a good idea!

Sending warm and positive thoughts, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, healing energy, , and prayers for everyone!

Not only the cold (I can type now)but the nausea lasted through today. Just hoping I can keep my dinner. I am dehydrated so I will have some extra saline dripped in tomorrow when they remove the bag (the extra chemo I get)
I saw the Oncologist today and he said he would reduce the amount of Chemo next time as it appears to be too strong for me. Some people my age can only tolerate 50% of the full dose.
I heard from DoA and he is back home after doing 77 miles. He was OK in the daytime but intense pain in the back night and morning. He will see a neurosurgeon and hopefully be able to get back on the trail later in the year.
Hugs to you all. (the computer is an effort tonight)

Julie, the friend I made the hat for loved it. She came down to put it on and show me. A couple of the staff saw her carrying it, wanted to see it on her, nope, she said I got to see it first Even offered to pay me for making it, and it cost me nothing, everything was furnished by EP craft day. No way she was gonna pay. She did bring me a few Easter goodies, those I took.

Heidi, glad the epidural was a humdinger, and hope that Gil will soon have all his 'stuff' and can no longer be the PIA he has been.

Suzy, glad you are reading, and that you let us know. It is OK if you are not up to commenting at the moment. come back whenever you can. Huge hugs and lots of love to you, dear.

Julie, I know what you mean wondering about what your flowering trees and bushes will be like. I am very concerned about 2 of out HUGE trees in the patio garden. One is a Japanese Pistach, kin to the pistachio nut tree. It has an insignificant flower, (makes these berry things in the fall) then the leaves come out after the flowers. Well, flower buds were zapped by the 2 long nights of below freezing temps about a month ago. After a month of warm temps, NO leaves coming out, well very very few. The same is happening to the ornamental pear tree. A few scattered flowers came, now only a few scattered leaves. It surely has changed the sun pattern in our garden. Earlier I planted coleus in containers under the trees. It is too hot, sunny for them. One I was able to move to shade, but the other is a concrete pot, very heavy, and I cannot move it. None of the residents here can help, anyone I ask said, No, I have a bad back. I may have to up-pot the plants and move to a container I can relocate. I would really like to know if the trees are still viable, or if loosing the flower/leaf buds has killed it. Branches are too high from the ground for me to scratch to see if green under the covering.

Julie, the Easter parade is today, The party starts in another hour or so. I am sitting with curlers in my hair now, need to do my hair, change to my dress, and put on the hat.

I had Mary, the independent cleaning lady come this morning. My regular cleaning lady, the one who is subsidized, has not been the last 2 weeks and cannot come again this week. First she was sick, then weather closed the entire company, and today and tomorrow is Passover holiday, the company takes the Jewish holidays off. So I had to hire Mary to get my apartment clean. I will have laundry to do later this week, boo hoo.

June, I am glad the oncologist is making changes to your chemo. I do imagine that episode from the sandwich was very scary for you. It seems the hospital staff should know not to serve a refrigerated sandwich to you, poor dear. I hope the reduced amount will be better for you and still kick cancer's rear end! We do know how to kill cancer, the hard part is doing so without killing the patient. Thanks for checking in, especially when the computer was so difficult for

OH, BTW My hat won first prize at the party!! I am still so surprised. I received a very pretty door hanging. Many of us decorate our doors seasonally at EP, so I have something for Easter season now. Previously had spring themed, but nothing for Easter.

I posted a photo of the hat on the other site. I have no idea how to get a photo from my phone to this site, bummer. I did have someone take my photo with my camera, but it is too out of focus to try to post.

Greetings, Everyone!

June, so sorry to hear the the cold and nausea stayed with you through the night. I'm glad you making an effort to keep hydrated. I'm also glad that your oncologist seems to want to stay on top of things and be sure your dose is appropriate for you!

I'm glad DOrA is keeping in touch with you, June so that you can keep us up-to-date. He was doing well with 77 miles! Too bad his back was giving him problems overnight and in the mornings. He is wise to take some time off from his trek to consult with his doctor. The trail will still be there when he is ready to try it again!

Suzy, thanks for checking in to let us know you are reading as you can. No worries about posting. Only post when it feels right to do so. We'll be pleasantly surprised whenever you feel up to posting. In the meantime, you are in our hearts and in our thoughts! {{{HUGS}}}

MizT, here's hoping the ornamental trees and bushes survive and come back stronger than ever next year! I hope you are able to relocate the coleus one way or another (preferably without too much work from you)!

It sounds like the Easter parade and party was fun, MizT! Congratulations on winning the hat-decorating contest. What a great idea for a prize - something you can enjoy year after year!

June, I agree with MizT's comments about your reduced chemo amount and hoping it succeeds in kicking cancer's butt! It's also surprising that hospital staff offered a refrigerated sandwich to you. Or, maybe it was a volunteer who wouldn't have been expected to know how the cold would affect you.

June, how nice that you are feeling better today! I hope Laura will appreciate the PJs you make for her. Will she be able to help with the process?
