Greetings to all as Easter rapidly approaches!

Wonderful TOPP, Heidi!

Hooray for your new smilies, and cheers for your most recent epidural! Don't over-do!

The alarm is set for about 5 hours from now - another distant doctor appointment, so I'm off to bed.

Sending {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, , prayers, healing energy, and positive vibes for all!

I have lost my voice. I'm home alone but wanted someone else to know how funny I sound. I called the girls, they thought I was crying and went into mini panic mode.

Oh Suzy, I hope that you get your voice back soon. Very hard when there is no one to talk to.
This chemo has hit me hard. Yesterday we took Laura to Belinda's place. It was a bit much for me and I came home exhausted. Slept all night and then a lot during the day. Now I cannot get to sleep. I do feel better though.
Glad that your epidural is working Heidi.
Pleased I do not have to drive 5 hours for Doc. appointment. Safe driving Julie.
Hope your garden repairs OK after all the changing weather Tricia.
Hugs to all. I just had a hot chocolate so now see if I can get to sleep.

Hi all. Sorry I have been gone for so long. I usually go online on my tablet and it is hard to type on that. I keep up with most things on TOS but forgot that it is easier to talk here. Less people to get in the way.

June: Big hugs going to you and wishing you the best.

Suzy: Keep thinking of you. I wish I was closer and could give you a big hug and join you for a cup of coffee.

Heidi: I don't even know what to say about Gil. Sounds like not much has changed.

June, please know that I'm thinking of you even when I don't post.

Hi Tami, I'm on my tablet too. It's definitely harder to keep up. And every now and then I almost report someone as abusive because my finger hits the wrong bit when I'm scrolling.

Missed you SO MUCH, Tami!!! Please try to drop in here a little more often and let us know what's going on in your life.

Still sleeping excessively. But the back feels wonderful. I have to remind myself that I need to be careful with it.

Happy Easter everyone!
Good to see you pop in Tami.
June and Zusy you are always in my thoughts.
I am also on a tablet a lot of the time now and understand about almost reporting comments FFS.
Having a very peaceful long weekend home alone. Had a bit of a scare last wednesday, after I had my venesection done(they take blood because I am high in iron) went to coffee shop next door and passed out, luckily they got a chair under me before I hit the floor. All good now and I go to see my doctor next week, guessing it was low sugar as I was fasting and have now been told I don't need to for these tests.
Have read and thought of you all.
Luv and Hugs.

Thanks for the concern after cyclone Debbie caused problems down the east coast of Australia.
Greg and I were stuck in Brisbane awaiting his kidney stent removal, then postponed until 4 days later. 6 days in a motel was a little boring as neither of us were able to walk or drive. Roads were closed, schools and operations were cancelled. Luckily, I took knitting to do for 2 expectant Mums to be. I had 5 knitted item to sew up when we got home. Still have 1 on the go.
Greg is much better after the stent removal. He was in awful pain beforehand. The stone was blasted and is all gone post the CT scan.
I worked all over Easter and am looking forward to catching up with Renae & Co on Mon, (last day of the school hols).
Catch you all another time.

Quick summary of my life. Most of my time is spent driving Dylan to baseball. He is a pitcher and enjoys it. Plays in high school and is hoping to play college. Two years to go but I am trying to support his dream. Mitchell is about to finish his second year of college. He informed us yesterday that he is not going back. He is coming home and going to transfer to the local university. It is a top school so that is not a problem. He is not happy where he is. I want him to be happy. He is still majoring in mathematics but not sure what he wants to do.

Greetings to Everyone!

Nola, glad to hear that Greg is feeling better! You certainly got a lot of knitting done, so it was a very good thing that you brought it with you! A busy day for you, so hoping your day after will be restful and fun with family!

Heidi, I hope you're also resting and enjoying a quiet day!

Tami, it will be fun to have you posting more frequently. That's hard to do when you're a busy Mom and teacher!! It's good to hear that both boys are doing well! I'm glad Mitchell realizes he'll be happier and ultimately benefit more, from transferring to a school nearer to home!

Slept most of the day again today. Thank goodness Debbie was here to take care of the birds and dogs for me. I've realized that my inner ear infection is back with a vengence and need to make another appointment with the specialist to get on antibiotics and have the ear canal drained, and another tube put in.

Hi, Everyone!

Heidi, thank goodness for Debbie's help with the birds and dogs. Has calving ended? So sorry the ear infection has returned. I'm glad, though, that you recognized the symptoms. Hoping you'll soon be able to see the specialist and get some relief!

Thinking of everyone and hoping all is well!

Sending healing energy, prayers, positive vibes, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, and for all! I'm heading to bed, as I can hardly keep my eyes open.

We are having Teriyaki Chicken for dinner and Laura is the cook. This is what she cooked outside on an open fire for her Scout cooking badge. Tomorrow we are going to the Blue Mountains for a couple of nights. Staying near the 'Three Sisters'. Laura and Ken will be able to do lots of bush walks. I do not have the energy to walk too far. Packed our winter woollies as it is quite a bit cooler there than here nearer the coast.

The Teriyaki chicken was very nice. Laura asked for an honest opinion and I said it could have had a little more soya sauce. Then found out Ken had given her a very small amount of a very weak soya sauce. Best part she cleaned up as she went along and prepared all the vegetables and everything. The rest of the dishes went in the dish washer. I added some milk, sugar and cream to the left over rice and Ken and I had that with some stewed peaches. Laura just had the peaches.

Lovely to hear from Tami and Nola. Ken was lucky when he had the 6 cm kidney stone. 5 trips to hospital to have the laser and then the stent removed. It was not infected and he had no pain at all which surprised the surgeon.
Must go and pack my bag. Things are on the spare bed and either Laura or Ken will need to sleep there tonight.
Hugs to you all.

Greetings friends. I have been absent longer than I recalled, my apologies. A new med I am on can cause fatigue and mild depression, I think I have a touch of both. Just no energy, keep putting off as many things as I can.

Most of the plants that overwintered inside are back outside. Still waiting for the two that are too heavy for me to move to be moved out by maintenance. Staff is very busy this week, as Saturday is the day for our biggest fundraiser for EP, the Gumbo Gala. My nephew will be making gumbo again this year, the company he works for is sponsoring a booth, and he again volunteered to be the cook. He lived in New Orleans for a few years, worked in one of the most known restaurants, and had got his recipe that many years ago.

I managed to hurt my back yesterday, lifting one of the big ferns over the wrought iron fence. Iced it all evening, got a good nights sleep, thought it much better, then went out to buy more flowers to plant. I brought home more than I usually do at a time, but found a lot of plants I wanted were marked down, some as much as 70% off, rest 50$ off. Could not pass up that bargain. I bought impatiens, coreopsis, moss rose, begonias, and a couple more I cannot remember names . I know what I shall be doing this weekend :)

Back says time to move. Hugs to each of you, with extras, till later.

to Everyone!

Welcome back, DOrA! The Creative Puns for Educated Minds are fun to read (and share with hubby).

Suzy, I'm sure you're right about why Tahli was sad. If the program will pay for her to see a psychiatrist/therapist, it could possibly be helpful for her to understand. Hopefully, a professional would have more insights than we lay people have and might be able to help her process the situation.

MizT, you've been missed, but you have obviously been busy and dealing with medicine side effects. With all the plants you bought, it seems like you'll have a busy weekend. I hope you'll be able to get some help. I hope the Gumbo Gala fund raiser for EP goes well this weekend. How nice of your nephew to help out! I bet the gumbo he makes is delicious!

Heidi, I hope you are able to see the specialist for your ear soon. In the meantime, it's nice that Debbie can help with animals and her oldest sun can mow the lawn. I hope Doll has a wonderful calf or two when she's ready!

I'm off to check email, then on to bed. It was a busy day today with orchestra, some practicing, and a lesson, plus the drive to and from.Luckily, hubby was driving, because I fell asleep pretty quickly in the car.

Sending {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, healing energy, , prayers, and positive vibes for everyone!

Heidi, I am hoping that these side effects of med will wear off in time. I think I will call my doc Monday and ask. Sometimes side effects are short lived as your body adjusts to it. I am glad you have some help with your lawn mowing. Hope you can get into the specialist and get ear infection under control. Is your appointment Monday?

Julie, my nephew makes a gumbo without seafood in it. Last year there were several people at his booth asking for the no seafood gumbo, someone in family was allergic to sea food and could not even taste any other gumbo. the company he works for is very community oriented, and enjoys getting employees involved in activities. Every year they take a few days help build a house for Habitat for Humanity, on company time. It is a wonderful place to work, he is very happy there.

I hurt my back Tuesday afternoon, lifting a heavier than I thought pot of flowers over the wrought iron fence. It has been giving me trouble ever since, drats. I missed a lot of things this week cause of it. NO Gumbo Gala for me today, No theater for the dress rehearsal we are invited to, free , and I also missed the birthday party this month. Guess I did not pick the best time to have back troubles. I have spent a lot of time in recliner with ice or heat to back.

I did manage to bake 8 dozen slice and bake cookies for the bake sale, that did not require me to be standing long at a time. Also potted up 3 containers of flowers that I bought earlier this week, I have more to do today.

Have I ever said I hate my oven? One cookie sheet of cookies burned. Same dough, same temp set on oven, same time on the timer and still burned beyond eating, bummer. Last year I burned a cake, did not even try a cake this year. I guess no more baked goods for me.

I am off to start my day, breakfast, dress for public, and to the garden. Huge hugs to each of you, with extras.

We had a nice few days away with Laura. The Blue mountains were beautiful with all the autumn colours of the 'imported' deciduous trees. Especially the golden ash and the maples (Acers). I did a couple of the hikes but found I got tired very easily and had little energy. Result of latest treatment.
Tricia, hope that back is soon better. You should know better than to be moving and lifting pots!
Heid, pleased the goslings have arrived and that you are enjoying them.

Hi, Everyone!

June, your trip to the mountains sounds restful. I hope you felt well enough to enjoy most of your time there!

MizT, so sorry to hear that you hurt your back and had to miss out on some fun activities this week. I hope you're soon feeling better, including getting rid of side effect of your meds.

Heidi, here's hoping the antibiotics will kick in right away, your ears will clear up, and your fever will go away quickly! At least your body insists that you slow down, pay attention, and do something for yourself, even if it's just getting some extra sleep!

Thinking of everyone, and hoping you are all well! Sending healing energy, {{{{{HUGS}}}}}, , positive vibes, and prayers for each of you!
