Flying visit this morning - caught up on the reading, want to make lots of comments, but there is no time. Hopefully I will get back later today.

Well, after a few hours leave of absence, I am back on the computer. Could have been worse, but could have been better too! I do like the one tiny 1 1/2 oz bottle of fleets phosphate of soda a LOT better than that gallon of stuff for the colonoscopy prep! get it swallowed, get it over with, then every hour on the hour a glass of my CLEAR beverage of choice. Huumm, Peach Schnaps is clear, and they did not say no alcohol, I wonder. could use some pain relievers, and since pills are out . . . .

did I say parts of this already? it sure looks familiar. OK I have had a hard afternoon, I can't help if I am forgetful.

Hi all! I'm back.
MizTricia... the stuff they make you drink before a colonoscopy is nasty. No matter how they try to disguise it, it tastes like liquified chalk. The first bottle isn't that hard to force down, but the second bottle..AY YI YI.

This was the first time I ever took fish to a show. I transported the Bettas in some plastic boxes I have , with air holes in the lids. I also brought along nearly 20 gallons of the same water they were being transported in, to fill their aquariums at in the exhibit. I had to bring aquariums with hoods, filters, heaters, everything to hook them up with, and the water and food for them. At least they will be doing the feeding for me so I don't have to go up every day after all.
Then, there was a last minute change of plan as to which Bettas went. That lovely Blue/Black guy decided to chew up one of his fins, so had to substitute another of my Bettas. I put a picture of him on my page, but it doesn't do him justice.

Good morning all - my goodness, that time I had to read 5 or 6 pages since I left last evening. No wonder I don't get around to reading books very often lately - my reading is done on SA5 daily.

Oh, Gail, thanks (I think) for the chicken cossie. Everyone else gets to swan around showing off their fabulous cyber-bodies and I get to wear a chicken cossie. No fair! Do you think my purple boa will go with the cossie?

CynB - what a lovely picture that makes in my mind...the purple boa on the chicken cossie (costume?). I think you'll definitely take the prize in that get-up!
Heidi - thanks for explaining the logistics of taking fish in the car...it sure had my imagination going. Sounds like you had a lot of set up...good luck on the show!

MzT - glad to hear you are still among us...been thinking of you and hope you get some rest tonight.

less than 3 days now.....

Heidi, the stuff to drink fore the colonoscopy that I had was not chalky. It was a clear liquid and salty with some lemon flavoring in it. Maybe a very strong gator aide taste to it is closest I can explaine. Came in a gallon jug, was a powder, about a CUP of some powder in the bottom and I had to add water, shake and get it cold. Todays treat was so much less to take, and I am mighty glad too. Just lots and lots of clear liquids to drink today. a "large glass' every hour, and they did not define large either hehehe

I got confused with the upper GI tests.

OH YES, Heidi, that stuff is nasty, big time! Hey, It is a wonder I am not the one confused today hehe, but then you had a long and hard day also. I am glad your little fishies got to the fair without incident, and that you will not have to go and feed them every day, thatgives you some time back now.

Hi all... I've just snuck home for a lunch break. I have walked for 2 hours and 20 minutes and I don't think I'm half done yet. I will certainly get my wish and get some exercise and maybe lose some weight! I just keep saying to myself 'remember why you're doing this' over and over again...

Just checking in briefly. Having a wonderful time just hanging by the pool. We went for a walk down into town for icecream with the dog after dinner. Now we are going to watch "PS I Love You"...then Olympics before bed.
Suzy - you are really getting some serious exercise in!
MzT - hope all is well for you this evening.
Bean - can't wait to see all your smilies...Gath must figure something is a-brew at this point.

Son is home from school now, I had better go and do something.

Hi everyone. Been busy here rearranging. Got rid of one desk since I won't have my pooter any more. Pooter lady in town has found a solution for me. I will be able to access everything I need. Bought a nice bookcase which filled up rather quickly. Mostly school stuff and computer disks.
Been to the beach the last two afternoons. Almost got a fine of $86 at one for having the dogs with us. It used to be the dog area but no more dogs allowed. At least the park guy was nice about it and just gave us a warning. The beach wasn't very busy and we had them both leashed. Also, we were just leaving when he came along. Lucked out once again.

Mamacita, you haven't missed Amber's birthday. It is in December. We will be flying from Melbourne to Auckland that day.

cynb, i laughed and laughed about you being in the chicken costume!!!! you can be our mascott! lucky lady!

i might need a small tiara and i'm going to need a bright yellow boa. also i think i will trade in the flip flops for some knee high, silver boots.

and let's see. husband! ? on what my bret does. he is away designing and drawing a piping system for some crazy rich koreans who want to get oil out of the tar sands in eastern utah. as fast as his designs print a team of 17 pipe fitters and welders are building it. he is a mechanical engineer doing mostly industrial process applications. he works for himself so no one else can take his place. he has to be there. we may go visit him on wed. yahoo to be with him. yuck on dirty motels. i think there are only a couple motels out there to choose from. the kids won't notice any grossness so hopefully i can hold it together for them! i may have to bring some cleaning supplies and an air mattress.
ok, off to bed .

Mariana, just wear see-through rubber gloves, you'll be fine. I bet it will be good to see Bret again.

Party and cruise started to celebrate the sale of our business which has incidently (ho hum - of course) been deferred yet another week, while the wally who's buying it gets his act into gear. However why put off a good party/cruise? Rolanda - now looking like mid-sept before we get to WA and got to be home by 28/9 - my daughter's birthday - even though she'll be 36, she's my baby and I want to be here.
