To seriously answer your kind question about my day: I'm hoping I have the energy to get off this puter for awhile to do my work-out and prepare turkey burgers for the Q for dinner tonight. I doubt I'll be outside with the heat. Will close the windows and turn on the air soon to keep us cool.

Have been considering Bean's idea about menopause...thought I was already through that, but could be I'm not - BUMMER!

Tried sleeping the whole morning through, but that blasted telephone wouldn't let me. So I shall have my brekky now, then do some chores for a change.
I, too, wish Viv was back in contact, but I know I take 2 days to recover from the anesthesia. She may just be sleeping it off.

Hi Heidi - I got 9 hours of deep sleep yesterday and feel a little perkier - thanks for asking.

Just how long has it been since the last post? Where are all the girls today? We have not seen STELLA in forever it seems, almost time for all the youngsters to be back in school? Hope you have more time once they go back.

Hi All...I'm sleepy too...didn't get interrupted or anything, just not sleeping well lately.....goes with the territory I guess...this too shall pass..I hope. Still no smilies or SM status...Gath is too busy playing with that cute baby I suppose...I'm sure he'll get it together.
Getting ready to head out to the Jazz Festival...won't be back here until Tuesday...(US time).
For those stateside, have a great Labor Day weekend...stay safe and have fun! You Aussies get ready to celebrate Father's Day, and those who are ill or recovering....where ever you may be....may good health be restored in short order.

Hi, Vici! Just cleaning and more cleaning to try to rid the house of as much evidence of cat as possible. Of course, one of the cats used to belong to our most allergic child who is coming next weekend with family, including 2-month old, so she can't take any allergy meds. (The other cat originally belonged to our other child.) So now, we have 2 cats that we didn't initially own, and I'm also allergic. Both cats were rescued to avoid the inevitable.

And now - back to work. Hello and Goodbye, Everyone!

Julie - was allergic once to cats when I was younger...not so much now. I lived with 2 cats back then and didn't mind carrying a kleenex box with me all the time. I could leave the house for relief!

Gath is supposed to back today (which I assume means Kym is out of hospital) - yay!

We mostly seemed to have missed each other yesterday. Life! It can sure get in the way!

Yesterday afternoon was especially hectic with Ally's bus late back from Southern Stars (she loved it!) which meant a huge rush to get to Ebob's school in time, followed by a huge rush to get her a new pair of joggers since she split her old ones and was holding them together with duc tape, followed by a huge rush to get to bowling on time, followed by a relaxing cup of coffee with friends sharing the dirty jokes my mother sends me with them....

Good news about Gath and Kym - I'm expecting to see a LOT more pics!

Ebob bowled 190! Four strikes in a row (apparently called a 4 bagger), more than 75 over average!!!

Oh my! What exactly is Aussie lawn bowing?

It is similar to bocci in that there is a little ball and bigger balls and you have to get more of your big balls closer to the little ball than the other guy, but that's where the similarity ends. The big balls are bigger than the big bocci balls and are rolled down a long green. I think you alternate 'ends'... Geez the way I describe it it sounds just like bocci! Maybe because I've never actually bowled! Will have to get June to fill in the blanks..

BTW Vici, there is lawn bowling in CA, hubby has seen it there. I can't remember where.

I have a navigation system in my car and I still forget to look at it!

I'm very anti navigations systems at the moment. Long long story, but in short form, a little girl on my street needs glasses, mum can't afford to get them though she is saving, dad spent $400 on a navigation system.... (They are married and living in the same house by the way) Not the system's fault, but reminds me that I want to go and yell at him!

Mine came with the car, but know these kind of parents - unbelievable, huh?

I have a navigation system in mine as well. It's called a map.

Saw some discussion on easy. I think the suggestion was made to tone down wheee-ing to the top of the page just temporarily in deference to the Spanish plane accident, as we have international members and it was a serious accident, regardless. I think we can all go ahead and have fun again, now. (Actually, I often get to the page in the mid-30's so I try to give people a boost up and wait to see who takes the top of the page.)

I agree Plum. I don't know about others, but the fact that people are out there having fun does not make me feel worse when having a bad time, it makes me feel better!

Plum, according to my count, only 2 to go... why don't you go for it!
