Marianna, I might stay up a bit later, but I am accustomed to a nap in the afternoon, just not that long or that late. A nap helps with my old achey bones, to give them a rest in bed mid afternoon.

Going away in the Caravan Thursday mid pm, come home Tuesday, should be home around 1.00pmish.
Going down to Bunbury, 175km (109m) south of Perth, on the coast.

Good Evening, SA5! I'm so glad to be here this early (9:30 pm), though only for a few minutes. Daughter's family arrived safely this morning, and have been to visit with some family members who live nearer. Several others won't be able to make the trip. Oh, well, you do the best you can! Hoping for decent weather tomorrow and a trip to the zoo.

Prayers for you and yours, Mamacita , and also for you and yours, June! Broni, I'm so glad you will be with loved ones on this anniversary. (Mamacita says it so well!) That sounds like a lovely trip, Rolanda - I love driving trips. Once Mike has his hand surgery, we're going to take off in early October for 10 days to a couple of weeks...driving up into north-eastern Oregon - a "go with the flow" holiday!

vici!!! you can drive to utah!! bryce canyon is a must see. then on your way to yellowstone (gotta go there at least once every 20 years) you can stop and see me!

vici, i too recognize that screaming child. that is what my elsa rose looked like the other night at 2 AM.

Actually I have traveled throughout Utah - one of my favorite states by far. I'm sure we'll make our way back there after we finish our house construction. I have a good friend who lives in Hurricane (S. Utah) outside of Zion...and the North rim of the Grand Canyon is my favorite! What town do you live in?

i haven't seen stella anywhere. but, it's nice to see you.

i'm in bountiful, just north of salt lake city. i too loved the north rim, but my mom was more impressed by bryce. bad me i have never been there. maybe in may.

Getting old has it's advantages. Only the kitties wake me now, and noone comes checking for kitty abuse when I invite her outside at 2 am!

are you kidding mizt? i never cry about babies. by now i have learned to try for a while with upset 2 year olds, then if that doesn't work just ignore them. she quieted down when she realized i was going to sleep, then crawled into bed, cuddled up close and wrapped her arms tight around my neck. out of a crazy hour came a very sweet moment. love that girl.

i am looking forward to that time of life though mizt. after five kids i am going to need a bit of a rest.

I've been away googling all over the place - bountiful, Utah and Bunbury, West Australia!

Bye rolanda. I need to be off and move about some, then I do think I am ready for bed again. Nope, do not think the nap will bother my sleeping one little bit! Have not even taken my night time meds yet and already have trouble keeping awake.

see you all on the flip side. 2 more days home, wonder what mischief I can get into? Must make the birthday cake for tomorrow. If Al were cheated out of 1/4 of his yearly cake allowance, he would not forgive me hehe.

Howdy all.

OH, must tell you this. I tried telling hubby, cake must cut in 12 pieces, that is a normal serving size. He just could not get the hang of it, always cutting himself these huge 2 and 3 serving sized pieces. So I told him, either get it right, or I will not make any more cakes. I found and bought a cake plate and cover, plate part has LINES to mark the serving sizes. he tries, but I promise, that last piece is never as big as the rest hehehe.
