I just got an unpleasant phone call. One of the Peafowl I won on eggbid last night was just killed in a freak accident. It was the only Peacock in the group. The other 2 are Peahens. He'll be substituting another bird, but it isn't exactly what I wanted. If I didn't have bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all.

Well Dumb and Dumber have done it again! Thought my computer was slowly dying but found out by accident today that we have blown our 12GB internet allowance and they did not bother to tell me. Had organise a major upgrade of our software for last night and it took one guy all night with only a couple of hours sleep to complete it.
Heidi think they take the crown Idiot of the Week!

I'd almost think Idiot Husband was one of them.

Hi everyone.
Well have had the run around today with Aust. Post.
A customer paid for $360 worth of Undercoverwear at the last party I did and Undercoverwear's policy is it will be delivered in 3 working days. Customer has not received the goods as yet.But Aust.Post says they tried to deliver but could not. They are supposed to leave a card, but the customer says they did not.
Off to the post office I go and enquire.
Oh someone signed but we have just found out it was the contractor ?????
Heavens knows where the goods are.
It was despatched to the customer from Undercoverwear on 28th Aug!!!!

Now I am supposed to be looking for some 'hottie' pics.
Yeah right !!

Gail, I've been meaning to ask how toy elephant and her friend are going in and out of school. Have things settled down?

They seem to be fine thanks Suzy. I ask occasionally how things are going and always get 'fine' for a response. She knows she can always come to me at any time if she needs to but it seems to have settled down. Everyone is on notice that if it flares again, it will be dealt with swiftly. It did turn out that there's no smoke without fire, and 'our' girls have learnt to watch what they say because often the reaction can get out of hand as it did.

Well just a moment to pop in before I head off for a scrumptious seafood dinner, so good to have an internet that works at home. Dumb and Dumber didn't even contact our IT guys to let them know that the uploads were way over the top and we have had this problem before and it was a virus. Duh!
Anyway at home and happy now, hope you all have a great day!

Won't be on full internet access at work until the 13th of this month so will probably not be able to keep up with you all. Zusy I now know how frustrated you get, but sure this is even slower...it takes a good two minutes to refesh the page there compared to about two seconds here.

Broni - 2 minutes would be average for me to open sudoku, 45 seconds is a fast refresh or post if I have absolutely nothing else open.... I timed it a when I heard people complaining about 10 secs. I wondered how long mine was taking, then realised that I wished I hadn't. But I shouldn't complain as we have decided to get broadband, I just have to do the research.

It sounds like good news for toy elephant... hope it stays that way.

Cyn, I do lots of things at the same time. Right now I'm sorting belly busters, watching TV and posting..... It mostly gets frustrating when lots of people are posting at the same time and my answer to someone's post comes 10 posts after their post... oh, and I'm reading the jokes liz and viv sent me.

Yes, that too.... I've read that just before I went to pick up Ebob and have been thinking and thinking and thinking about it. I don't want to answer it until I can do one thing at a time though, a couple of hundred belly busters from now.....

I think so Brenda, I don't ache as much and I think I'm walking faster. I just wish I was also getting thinner!!

Update on renovations. Both bathrooms are out of action at this moment in time. Main one because the heating boiler is being renewed. They have had to take out part of a wall in there but that wont stop us using it when they have finished. Downstairs bathroom will be finished tomorrow(fingers crossed)
At present we are having to use the caravan bathroom facilities.

Suzy you must be toning your muscles before losing any weight. Just remember that muscle weighs more than fat so you may not think you are getting anywhere, but you are (If you see what I mean)

Brenda, I hope it's warm where you are right now! It would be like the olden days when you had to go to the outhouse! I lived in a house with one of those when I was 4 to 8 years old!
