Heidi...love all your celebrating critters! She does have a nasty "spinal" headache - not familiar with it as I haven't had one...but she said it didn't feel so great. Thank goodness for her pain meds! She was in wonderful spirits and it was a real treat to talk with her.

Colin went off to work happily this morning at 6am. Why? The very last day of dealing with the truck, chickens, customers, new driver, new owner etc.

Woo Hoo Vici! Great news! I would send hugs to MizT but they would probably hurt right now so I will send gentle thoughts and wishes instead! I'm so so so glad that they think they got it in time!!!! I WILL send hugs to her thorough doctor!

Congrats to Colin - WOO HOO! You guys have been so patient walking through this whole thing and now it's over. So will you guys sleep in tomorrow???

I know what MizT is going through. You forget I have spinals every 3 months. Yeah, those headaches are nasty, but they do go away, and a cold pack on the head helps. A cold pack on the place they gave her the epidural will help, too. So does sleep. My point is that it's a lot easier than general anesthesia and an incision. This will be over tomorrow, or at the worst the next day.

Hi all...just checking back in. Made it through my long call to the dental insurance company - actually had a very nice woman who helped me out. Isn't amazing how you can get some paperwork from one of these types and you spend an entire day (at least) trying to get it straightened out?

Oh Heidi, I hope you are still around. You're going to have to tell your husband to move over - we have another contender - MY IDIOT HUSBAND!
We had been talking about finally getting another dog. A former customer of ours had a litter of poodles for sale so he goes to see them today and BUYS one. Great, except that we are flying off to Perth on Sunday for 2 weeks. I told him he can give it back or he can do the running around to find someone to take it for 2 weeks - and of course the poor little puppy will bond with its carer, not us! Absolutely furious!!

Sorry, I was shouting in that post but you can understand why!! I wish I had smileys to show how I feel.

You can ask the person you got the puppy from to take care of it for those 2 weeks. Don't worry about the puppy. It will have no problem adjusting to you when you get back. A lot of the show breeders don't let puppies go to new homes until they are at least 3 months old.
