What did you read that was that good? I just finished "The Shack," and I wish someone else would read it so we could chat about it.

Hi all,
Had a telephone call from my youngest yesterday to say that they had arrived at the airport ok and now have had an email from her saying that they had arrived at my brother's home. She had a good flight but was rather tired. We will give them a ring tonight and then leave them in peace for a while.

I wouldn't but a bet on that Suzy. She is very independent and when enjoying herself wouldn't think about contacting us... her friends maybe but not us. We will still be in touch with her when she is on line using MSN or Facebook

I hope you are surprised Brenda. My girls totally ignore me sometimes, but when it comes down to it they are home girls...

RUBY, yes, I got your message, but not till this morning. I cannot believe you and I posted same time, you asking where i was and me reporting in!
I just finished a novel called COLDWATER, by an australian author, Mandi McConnochie of Sydney. It is about a (fictious) prison on an island off the coast in a very remote area during The mid 1800's, the time when England's convicts were "transported" out to Australia. Interesting book.

Good to see Stella posting again, welcome back! I hope the children are enjoying thier trips and you can relkax a bit, and not worry about them too much.
I just found out yesterday my grandson, the soccer player, broke his leg at a soccer camp Monday! ER doc said, Oh, 6 weeks in a cast and he should be good to go, but the orthapedic doc said, 6 weeks in THIS cast and then 6 weeks in a walking cast. GS is most upset, that means he will miss the entire highschool soccer season! He is soo competative and was on some great teams with great oppertunities and now, mising months, he is already asking, HOW will I stay in shape, what am I going to do? I hope they can get him to a sports medicine clinic so =he can be evaluated as what he can to now to keep in shape and not have to start over again in 3 months!

Brenda, I remember that age, when my daughter's friends might hear from her while she was away, but not me. Do all girls go through that?
Good to hear from Broni, thank you to her friend and Gail for the report. hope all goes well and she is back with us soon, all better.
Suzy and Elise, are you both improving? Hope you continue to recover uneventfully.

Good morning all! Just talked to Bryana. This is her last day in Segovia and then the group tours Spain until Tuesday. I wanted to make sure she took a picture with her host family before she left. They've been putting up with the one sentence I know in Spanish when I call her. They've been very nice. She took her tests this morning and then, when she was walking by the Aquaduct, she and her friend were interviewed by a local tv station as to what they liked about Spain!

Glad to hear that Broni is doing well!
Heard from Mama yesterday. I'll pass on her message: "Its difficult, but I do think I may have turned a corner and am ready to fly a bit...Yes, the wings have been clipped a bit and my flying will be unsteady...but I'm going to give it a go.
While I've posted on easy..please say hello to all of my SA5 friends...I'll get around to all of the pages sooner or later, but I am not yet ready for the full dose of involvement just yet, althought I miss everyone greatly!
Love and appreciation to everyone. Mamacita"
My thoughts and prayers continue for Mama and her family.

Thanks Stella for passing on Mamacita's message. I totally understand how she is feeling having been in the same position a few years back. She knows we are here for her when she is ready.

Maen all! And hugs to Mamacita! Mamacita is probably a little bit concerned about being overwhelmed when she first comes back. Wish we could find a way to show her that we care, send her our wishes etc, without drowning her in messages!!

MizT, I was naughty and took my bandage off last night. The scar is pretty red and so far seems to have a blob in the middle of it where it hasn't closed as tightly as on the ends. It will settle down over time, and the blob may just be related to my adhesive allergy and so go away. The good news is that my eye doesn't seem to have changed shape, and the scar is fairly short - less than 1 cm, or 3/8 inch.

Oh Suzy...I was trying very hard to forget it was there and needing attending too.....thank you for being my conscience.
My GP has asked the specialist to check out my entire body...GULP... long time since anyone has seen that. It has put me off a bit...the thought of stripping down!!! Maybe I could go in and just ask him to do the one above my eye and the ones on my back.....
