Sun is shining here but that wind is off the artic ice caps brrrr!

I would Rolanda, but the girls want to go to visit their Nana in the next school holidays, plus d1 might go to Port Macquarie for a baseball weekend.... not sure more wood is on the cards....

Having said that, if we spend a few days at it, we could probably scavenge enough from the back of our property to see us through. Until the pile is gone that feels too much like hard work though...

mmm Susy, well if you dont use it all, at least you would have a pile of noicely dried wood for the next winter.

Thanks for the warm welcomes...I saved this page to my favorites so I can try and keep up.
How I love reading about your winter weather down under...artic breezes - oooooo that sounds so cool and lovely. I'm in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. I live kind of out in the country, but near a town called Grass Valley. We are about an hour northeast of Sacramento in the Gold Country (I think it's all gone - haven't found a lick of it and I have been digging all over my yard!!!)
We are also about 45 minutes from North Lake Tahoe...and fairly close to Reno if the mood strikes us for a little gaming!
Speaking of gaming - I'm pretty sure we can play some slots on the cruise boat, can't we???
Gonna go to page 15 and read up about the last cruise Broni hosted.

Just watched the slide show of your Broni's Fantastic Cruise that you all went on back in June...what a great party - and such daring entrances by Gail and Bean! Can't wait to join in the next one!

What does everyone think of this new friends thing? I'm still a bit confused but as eaa said on easy - what if you invited someone to be your friend and they rejected you??? Or am I just paranoid?

I've just added the ability to define a list of 'Friends' with other members.

You can send someone a Friend Request by going to their personal page and clicking 'Add Gath as a Friend' (though maybe you will choose someone else ). You can accept a Friend Request More...


by going to your Friend List (link at top right of page).

The immediate bonus of this, is that you can see when your friends are online (list is on the right of the page, underneath the birthday messages). If you do not want your friends to know when you are online, uncheck 'show online' on your 'update details' page.

Let me know how you go.

I won't say I don't like this friends thing ( I don't.), but things are clique-y enough without facilitating it.
However, this does not mean that I won't participate.

I sort of agree with you Ruby but, hey, I'll go with it but if I don't ask anyone to be my friend its only because I DID forget, not because I'm being selective! Feels a bit like being back at school - if you'll be my friend, I'll be yours.

It just shows those you have accepted as your friends if you are onsite or not. If you do not wish anyone to see that, then decline their offer. No dramas.
