Dropped by to say thanks for your comments on my photo last Tuesday (21st Aug)! Was away from the site for over a week & have been trying to catch up with everything!
Having a friend who catches crayfish sounds so delicious!!!!
I'm assuming you're in Victoria a bit north from Melbourne, but there seem to be Sugarloaf Creeks in Qld & NSW as well as Vic!!!!

Thanks for the visit & the info, Judi! i thought it was that one because you'd said something about the cold at some time!!! I remember breaking the ice on puddles when I was walking home from school (Mount Waverly) in the 1950s!!!
