Note the name of the city La Cañada Flintridge. There once was a commercial in Los Angeles that refered to the 2 Freeway as the LA - Canada Freeway.

My goodness! Judy has just informed me that "rooting" has a whole different connotation to the Aussies! Come to think of it, I didn't say I was rooting WITH the Canadians, I said I was rooting FOR the Canadians!

Thanks for dropping by my page and the warm wishes. 2009 has to be better than 2008. Things are looking up and I hope to return to work at end of January, rest of the month will tell if I can achieve that goal.

Belated wishies for a good year.
I am surprised for the news about the earthquake in New Zealand yesterday. Here there is not any comment on it in the radio or the written press.
I don't know what am I doing wrong but I can not post an avatar anymore. The few pictures that I posted this week from our recent trip to Chile and Argentina are too big, eventhough I had reduced them. I hope my son will have time this weekend (besides partying) to help me do the rigth ting. Great your jokes this past week.

Hi Greg - I know I’m late doing this but just calling in to thank you for the wonderful birthday greetings. I did indeed have a lovely day, made better by being able to spend it with the whole family. I feel happier than I have in years and I thank you and all my other Sudoku friends for your friendship and support. I love this site.
Col may not have taken out on the town but we did have a lovely meal at a Thai restaurant with my sister and BIL.
