Hi Greg. I just wanted to tell you that your message that Keith read out to all at the gathering in San Francisco plus all of us on Skype in Australia and France was absolutely beautiful. We all drank a toast at the exact moment together to virtual friends. I posted on Easy during the toast. Thank you for thinking to do that.

CG, we were touched by your card. I wonder if you would mind if we post it? Your message to us should be shared with everyone. Camaraderie is to be cherished and we've been together for years now. Keith still has the card. He read it to us all but I would love to keep the words of a dear friend.

Thanks for the complements, Greg. My name is Karen. I just love reading your postings, and I think you had some colorful jokes there for a while, if I'm not mistaken.

Love the snuggling polar bears too...

Hi CG,
Thanks for the card sent to the SF meet...the sentiments were spectacular.... I'm so happy to be able to tell the world that the last few days were a great combination of friends and family that one could ask for.
My Earth Angel is absolutely marvelous...healthy, growing beautifully and inquisitive as all get out... and happy...she is that and more...Words can't capture how much I enjoyed my time with her and her mom! I will be reunited with them again in December when they join the family in Florida....more fun to be had.
Well known by now, is that the meet was wonderful..great folks, great food and fun...the weather added to it all...
The only thing that would have topped what fun I had, would have been the inclusion of you, Judy and Jamie for me...Therefore, I still have something to look forward to...
Hope all is well with you...take care my friend...Peace.

ha ha Greg, Great Einstein story. Sorry to take so long to reply... I headed out to an out station near Maningrida in the middle of Arnhem Land this week. I've been beyond the reach of Sudoku and have only just got back.

Hope that you are well ol' Canuk!! fi

H'lo again, Greg!

No, I don't post much, but I'm here every day. Actually, I stole a woman away from Canada when I married her there in '58... just a few years ago. I met her while attending McGill In Montreal and wear an iron ring on my pink to prove it. I'd give up that double chocolate bevertail for one of Ben's smoked meat sandwiches, but I hear the place closed years ago.

Later... (and watching...) Dick

Hi, Canuk Greg! Thank you so much for the birthday greetings. As you know, birthdays here in Sudokuland are a 2-day event, but I really won't start celebrating until tomorrow, our Thanksgiving. Thanks for the kind greeting and warm thoughts. Have a great day, both today and tomorrow!

Hi Greg! Thanks for the Thanksgiving wishes. We were in Gettysburg, PA. I haven't been there in many years. It was very nice being there when the crowds were at a minimum. We had a private tour of the battle field. It was an absolutely unbelievable three days in our history. We had Thanksgiving dinner at "Picket's Charge Buffet"! I had to laugh at the name! Food was excellent, tho

Hi Greg, thank you for the birthday greetings from Ottawa. I feel very lucky to have received messages from far and wide. I have had a special day with phone calls from my children in Sydney and Dubai. No birthday cake though, but red wine with lunch and friends......better for me, I thought.

Hello, Greg. Thanks for your kind birthday greetings. It was a nice surprise to hear from a number of people, even though my name doesn't appear on the birthday list and I rarely post on the site. The 16x16 takes up too much of my day, I'm afraid. Sudokoholism (????) takes a number of different forms.

Thanks, Greg. We're only about 2 hours from the border and get to B.C. pretty often, enough so that I keep a toy stuffed beaver wearing a RCMP hat with a Canada flag on it as a mascot in my car. Ottawa, however, is far, far away.

Hi Greg! I'm slowly catching up on Sudoku after our long trip through Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, & Cambodia. Thank you for your birthday greeting on Dec. 4. I had a wonderful day which began when we watched the sun rise at Angkor Wat in Cambodia - unforgettable! I have posted only one picture of our trip on my page so far, but I will try to whittle down the thousands of pictures we took to just our favorites & post them on Flickr as soon as I can find time. Meanwhile, Rob & I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. It will be 2009 before we know it!

Hi there Greg,

Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas this year. I always think fondly of you - certainly since our joint story telling a year or two back.

for your cyber friendship.

I guess that while we swelter in Darwin you will be experiencing the other extreme of weather. Whatever and where ever, may it be a lovely celebration for you.

Here’s the traditional

LEMON CORDIAL
Ingredients:
Juice of 7 large lemons
Grated rind of 5 large lemons
1 kg sugar
1.25 litres of water
25g citric acid
Method:
1.In a large pan, boil up sugar, water, grated peel and citric acid.
2.Take off and add juice, If preferred, this may be strained.
3.Bottle whilst still hot into clean, sterilised (in oven) bottles

Mix it with whiskey and honey and hotwater for a hot toddy.

May 2009 be a healthy, peaceful, joyful, hopeful, satisfying year for you. I look forward to seeing you on site.

Hi Greg: Just received your very fine Christmas greeting. We're okay here with about two feet but I expect you are pretty well snowed in. My cousin in Nepean will be loving this as they're all into winter sports.Gave up my skiing about two years ago but still love the snow. We're going to have a white Christmas from coast to coast this year. Just bundle up, throw another log on the fire and pour a little more rum into that eggnog... Have a wonderful Christmas and my best wishes for a safe, happy, healthy New Year.
