Hi Greg, we returned home last night after a week or so of fun and adventures. The train trip was magnificent - it far exceeded our expectations, the people were friendly, the staff courteous and efficient, the train ride was relatively smooth and quiet and the ever changing display of the magnificent Australian bush kept us entertained when the bar was closed.
We spent a wonderful day in Adelaide with Margo and her husband and had a happy dinner in Darwin with fii. We launched onto the tourist trails at the whistle stops in Alice Springs and Katherine and spent three great days exploring Darwin. In short, we had a ball.

I had a wonderful birthday that finally ended last night with a family celebration. I am usually away on my birthday at the Indy 500. I guess I saved the best for last... that means celebrating with my two grandsons (aged 3 years and the younger, 4 months) and their families!
