Well, I haven't been here for a while myself, but it's nice to know there have been a few visitors call by. The Christmas pudding is ready for eating, so help yourself to a slice - with brandy custard, of course.

Hi Judy, Guess that it is hot and dry in Bendigo. I've spent several summers there with family over the past 25 years and know those hot dry winds well.

For Christmas Just thought I’d drop you in a bottle of home made LEMON CORDIAL. It’s fantastic with water and with soda water. Just the thing for Christmas under the jacaranda. Cheers.

Ingredients:
Juice of 7 large lemons
Grated rind of 5 large lemons
1 kg sugar
1.5 litres of water
25g citric acid
Method:
1.In a large pan, boil up sugar, water, grated peel and citric acid.
2.Take off the heat and add juice, If preferred, this may be strained.
3.Bottle whilst still hot into clean, sterilised (in oven ) bottles

Thanks Judy 'hic' for the 'hic' tiramisu. Very nice.
No, I don't watch 'Spick & Specs' because I think it's on here on a Wednesday night when I'm at badminton.

You asked at my place if it will be a white Christmas, don't know, but it was white with frost when I went to play golf today. So frozen course didn't open till after midday. We have our ladies fun christmas golf and lunch tomorrow(thursday) so I am off to prepare a costume to wear - think I'll go as a snowman!!!
Have a lovely tile over Christmas

Maybe a lovely time would be more enjoyable than a tile! I think someone spiked the mulled wine

Judy, the 'Bendigo' penny has just dropped! I now remember that our visit to Bendigo a couple of years ago was one which we both remember fondly. We were just touring, but could have stayed in Bendigo much longer because we both loved the place so much. My Mum and her family lived for several years in Eaglehawk where my grandfather was a policeman - this was shortly after his return from the Boer War so it wasn't exactly yesterday.
Bendigo is a great city.

Judy, the tiramisu was awesome! The first class cabin of our Sudoku plane got trashed on the trip to Napa. The damage is being repaired now, and we'll be ready to cruise around the world for a New Year's bash at 35,000 feet. Extra security will be onboard to tame even the wildest party animals. Put on something VERY sparkly; tell us the airport nearest you, and we'll fly in to scoop you up!

Hi Judy. I do hope you and yours had a great Christmas. 2007 is around the corner. A whole new year coming up, and so much will happen during this coming year. I do hope that you and yours enjoy peace, happiness, good times, (chocolate for those of you who indulge), and should there be some sorrow that befalls you, I do hope you weather it well and stay strong and positive. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Judy, it was a rather disappointing start to the year, my health has been so good for the last six months. However, them's the breaks, as they say.

Judy, what a great idea to mark time. I have also thought of putting the static bicycle in front of the tele and watching a movie while cycling ( we don't actually have television programs). Maybe I should try and get 'The loneliness of the long distance runner' lol

Hi Judy....below is an extract from an e-mail Nicole sent to me today.
I feel like I have a different baby today, she has been awake but not needing to scream, if she does cry she is easy to settle/soothe, she is now asleep in the snuggle bed after about 1/2 hour or so of fidgeting (but not screaming), have hardly had to walk her around to settle her at all this morning, I don;t want to get too excited at this stage but it seems the colic relief may be working and if this is a normal day than things don;t seem so bad...

Hello Judy - it's been a long time since I visited your page and I saw your comment on 'hard' today where I posted the Sunburnt Country so I thought I'd drop in and pay you a visit. I hope you had a lovely Easter break and you are benefitting from the recent rain, that's if it's come your way. We've had some rain for the last part of Easter and early this week but today and yesterday we had glorious weather. Did you read my comments on tough the other day about Middleton Beach being partly ruined in some heavy swells the other week.
I went for a walk tonight and only just managed to keep my feet & shoes dry the waves come up so far now.
Anyway, better go. Cheers

Judy, my wine goblets from the Bendigo Pottery arrived safe and sound today, after 65 days via Sea Mail. (I don't think I'll do that again, even if it is cheap.)

They make nice stuff there. These are stoneware, heavy as lead and good-looking folk(ish) craft.
