Merry Christmas Deb

I've been bottling in my kitchen today so have just cooked up a few cyber bottles as well.

Just thought I’d drop you in a bottle of home made LEMON CORDIAL. It’s fantastic with water and with soda water. Cheers.
Ingredients:
Juice of 7 large lemons
Grated rind of 5 large lemons
1 kg sugar
1.5 litres of water
25g citric acid
Method:
1.In a large pan, boil up sugar, water, grated peel and citric acid.
2.Take off the heat and add juice, If preferred, this may be strained.
3.Bottle whilst still hot into clean, sterilised (in oven ) bottles

Debby - Sorry about your mom - I understand what you are going through. We (Jeanie and I) just met this morning with the staff at the nursing facility where Jeanie's mom is at present. She is covered by Medicare for about another week - then we have to pay for the stay or bring her home.
I will be thinking of you - hope you get home pretty soon.

Debby, Merry Christmas! You might recall our last Sudoku flight went a bit out of control. The first class cabin is being repaired now, and we'll be ready to cruise around the world for a New Year's bash at 35,000 feet. Extra security will be onboard to tame even the wildest party animals. Put on something VERY sparkly; tell us the airport nearest you, and we'll fly in to scoop you up!

How was your Christmas in Cape Coral - wet? Oh well, guess it wasn't a white one in Michigan either so you didn't miss anything special. Good luck at your Mom's appt. on the 29th in Gainesville. Hope they can recommend something to help her. Think of me when you drive up I-75 near Brandon Mall exits. Ed & I live about 10-15 miles from there.

Debby, I'm so sorry that your anniversary wasn't spent as you would have liked, but knowing that you are doing the best thing for your mom will help you when the next time comes to celebrate. You are blessed with a hubby who supports you as you care for your mom, thats a wonderful thing to know about your man. He values the love and care of family. Thats a good thing to think about once you can get the help you are now looking for. I pray that help can be found to ease your mom's pain and bring her improved care. I wish you and all of your family, a happy, healthful New Year!

Hi Debby, this is my first visit to your place. Hope your Christmas was filled with family and have a Happy New Year. My prayers will be with you and your mom on the 29th. My mother-in-law, Mom, is in assisted living and after her money was spent, medicade was there for her so she could stay in the same assisted living where things are more familiar to her.
Thought I would drop off some wine my husband just bottled. Here's one of each: peach, wild blackberry, strawberry, and concord grape. Also, wanted to share some of our cookies we baked, hope you like walnut balls and spritz cookies.
Again, good luck with your mom.

Hi Deb. Some snow here, but not much. Was green on Christmas day, and a little fell on boxing day. 2007 is around the corner. A whole new year coming up, and so much will happen during this coming year. I do hope that you and yours enjoy peace, happiness, good times, (chocolate for those of you who indulge), and should there be some sorrow that befalls you, I do hope you weather it well and stay strong and positive. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Jan. 4 - Debby, were you able to find any help for your Mom at the appt. in Gainesville? I've been thinking of you. Mom's are so special. I know you wish you could relieve her pain.

Debby - I am sorry Shands has not yet been able to pinpoint your Mom's problem. 5 weeks is a long time to be away from your family. Does your Mom have no one else here in FL that can help her with dr. appts., transportation etc.? She's very lucky that you have been able to stay as long as you have! Hang in there. Maybe you'll still be around for our Feb. SA meeting?

Hi Deb. It's been a while since I dropped in, but I wanted to see how you were doing. Are you planning to return to God's country in Canada this summer? I hope to get up for at least a week. Best of everything in 2007 to you and yours!

Debbie - Good to hear that you'll soon be headed for home again. Your parents must be SO grateful for all your help, but I know your family at home must miss you a lot, too. Have you set the date for the flight home? Bet you'll be counting the days!

Hello Debby, thanks for the visit.
We have fairly mild summers down here in Albany because we are on the south coast of West. Aust. It gets very hot in Perth, which it is today, I believe, and even hotter further up north, but we are very lucky. We do get quite a lot of wind though, especially blowing from the east during the summer, which spoils it for the beachgoers.
Please visit me again sometime, I enjoy the company.

Debby, thanks for the nice things you said about my photos. I had a lot of fun taking them. Originally they were just for my own pleasure and to keep the memories alive, but having started to post them on the Sukudo site I am fascinated at the large number of people who seem to enjoy them. I am going to keep up the supply for as long as people continue to enjoy them.
As for our summer, it has been a long, hot summer, even by Australian standards. My only ambition on the really hot days (over 40ºC) is to live through them. So far it has worked.

Hi Debby, how's your mum doing? Were Shands able to help? Thanks for visiting my page. No, Jonesy is not my pet, she lives at a work colleague's house, has the run of the place and just wanders in and out as she pleases. I just knew all the non-Aussies would be delighted to meet her.

Hi Deb. I'm slow in responding. I'm not one for ice fishing, although I have gone a few times. While we have had a real cold snap here for the last 10 days or so, the ice probably isn't strong enough yet to hold the shacks. I've actually seen some outside people's houses with for sale signs on them. I think people are starting to worry about these weather changes we're getting. Take care and stay smiling!

Hi Debby,
Thanks for the visit . Yes, I've had a great day today- the weather is beautiful - although
according to the calendar it should be winter now , but it has been a beautiful day today , cool , but blue sky , sun , birds singing ...
I wish you and your family all the best.

Hi Deb...Thanks for visiting!!!! I love 6 months of age too but I'm wondering if that's how old you thought Kiarah is? She is only 6 weeks old so don't make her grow up too fast....lol...
She is doing great. Nicole had a sleep nurse come to her on Wednesday to help get Kiarah to sleep on her own. Yesterday was okay and we are hoping she continues that way as Nicole is exhausted. Always had to nurse her to sleep and when you put her down she would wake up again within 15mins and it would start all over again.

Hi Debbie, thanks for the visit, the good wishes and particularly the beautiful red rose. I will certainly enjoy its beauty. How is your mom doing since you have returned home? Hope all is well. Are you still getting snow? I sure hope not since I may soon have to come that way. I have a very dear friend who is not expected to live much longer. He has had a long life, and been ill for awhile, still those who really care about him wish it wasn't happening even as we realize he'll be in a better place. It seems like we are losing so many people who have been a part of our lives, and I guess we know that we too must make the same journey. Most of us aren't ready, yet we have no say. Sorry for going on and on,just feeling a bit low I suppose. Things will be what they will be so I might as well perk myself up and live while I can. Next time I'll wait until I can be a little cheerier to visit. Peace

Hi Debby, Winter in Utah is up and down, but usually cold. What I'd call unpredictable probably 60% of the time...ALSO~ we have alot of inversions that come through, and stay in the valley. So that messes with alot of peoples health, and such.
Life is really busy, but good. Thanks for asking and stopping by!
And thanks for the hot chocolate
See you around

Thanks for your very supportive visit and your kind offer of always having a warm soothing drink of something available. Its always good to be able to dump bad feelings and not be made to feel guilty about doing so. I thank you for helping to restore me to the best that life offers..kindness and inspiration and a willingness to hear one out. You are a special lady. I do appreciate everything! Since I have no smilies at this time you must use your imagination and view hearts, flowers and kisses blowing in the wind...Peace!

2/4/07 - Hi Debby! Thanks for your concern. As you may know by now we are up in NC at our middle daughter's home, but our other two daughters in FL luckily were not affected by the tornadoes, nor were any of our homes. I am very tired of being cold & am looking forward to our return to FL on Tuesday. I love my family but I love my home, too! Am sure you felt the same when you were in FL with your parents. Hope your Mom is doing okay.
